   I was surprisingly disappointed at how horrible the bar service was. Our table did not receive our drink orders until we were finished with our meal. I understand on busy nights how things can get hectic, however this was 4pm in the afternoon. Our server was rude when asked about our drink order and acted bothered when we asked her to take the drinks off our tab since we had not received them and were finished eating. We most likely will not be going back.

   Don’t get me wrong, the food was decent and the place itself was very cool. The waitress did an ok job. However, we ordered drinks and when our appetizer arrived before our drinks we were told the bar was a little behind and that our drinks would take a little longer than usual. We completed the app and our entrees and still never saw our drinks. The manager would peek his head into the room we were seated in but did not make any effort to interact with any customers and did nothing to help the bar/remedy the situation. We’d gone for a special occasion and it was an overall let down.

    I made a reservation for brunch and was seated in the open area at lounge chairs and a tiny coffee table which barely had space for coffee cups and plates. It was incredibly loud (even without bowling) so difficult to have a 1x1 convo. Food was great but expensive. Great venue for a cocktail but not brunch and catching up with a friend.

    Poke bowl was good. Cauliflower pizza crust was great. Burgers were good. Deserts were fantastic we had three different deserts. Noise level was bordering on obnoxious though, even away from the bowling lanes and arcade games. Patio is the only place that’s quieter.

    We were very pleased with Western Proper. It was our first date in a long while. It did take about 10 minutes after being seated to see our server and receive water. It was another 15 minutes before we were able to order our drinks for happy hour - we had to flag the server over. There were 2 more groups that were seated in that time, so they seemed somewhat busy, but other couples that came in 5+ minutes after us were taken care of first. Not a big deal, but frustrating when we came in for happy hour and then felt like our orders might not be put in on time. The food was fantastic. I had been there just once before for the cookie dessert, and it was so delicious, I wanted to take my husband there for dinner. We had the queso and meatballs for appetizers. Both were really good and filling. We split the breakfast pizza. It reminded me of one of my favorite restaurants in Jackson Hole, Trio: an American Bistro. I miss that place so much, so it was really wonderful to have a place like it in Boise. We ended up taking home most of the pizza, as our drinks (espresso martini and spicy margarita) plus the 2 appetizers were very filling. BUT we still left room for the freshly baked cookie in a cast iron pan with vanilla ice cream on top. Just so decadent and delicious. The dessert is served with a huge sparkler: something I neglected to tell my husband about. As an introvert, he was worried, but it was so fun to not only have the sparkler, but to see him laughingly embarrassed. We didn't have a chance to play any games, so that will have to wait for next time. Bathrooms were very clean, and the ambiance was lovely. The dining room had the front window open and the weather was perfect; draped from the ceiling were big brass baubles that were very striking, along with fake pothos, which looked very realistic. All in all, we will be making this our regular date night place - it's not inexpensive, but the food is some of the best we have had in Boise, worth the price.

    Food was very bland. Ordered Tacos, Pizza, and chicken sandwiches. Beer quality is poor compared to other local breweries. Server seemed new but was courteous. Very overpriced and underwhelming. Your paying more for venue than good food or beer.

    There was only one other group sitting in the lounge area and we were sat right next to them. A group of intoxicated guys. They were so loud and knocking over furniture. Impossible to enjoy our meal. We were first sat at a cocktail table that was made of real wood - so had curves and bends. We could not even fit our appetizer plate on it. And we were still going to order mains, so we moved ourselves to a bigger open table. Our waitress came 4 times throughout the course of our meal and never replaced our beverages or asked if we wanted refills. Finally I asked her. She never seemed happy. I had to walk to the hostess stand after waiting 15 minutes to get our check...All three ladies were just standing there (again, there was only one other table there) so she checked me out and we left. The food was okay - but the service was really sad for a fun Saturday Brunch.

    It was my first time there and we made a reservation for the dining room. The table was very small and uncomfortable and we couldn’t have a conversation with all of the noise. We had a decent dinner and the server was great, but we only had the one drink and decided to find a different spot right after we finished. I would consider coming back with a larger group to do the bowling or games.

    We ordered the pizza. The crust was limp. Alcohol pricy. Dueling pianos fabulous. Our friends ordered hamburgers and said they were good.

    We were celebrating my husband’s birthday (he passed last year). It was our first time in. We were super excited but our experience kind of a damper on the night. I thought I had booked a table but apparently had book couches (totally my fault) but I booked a party of 10 and there was only enough seats for 8 which was pretty disappointing. After 20 minutes of sitting down and seeing everyone else around us get served, one of us went up to the host stand to ask for our server. Our server was apparently on her phone leaning up against the bar chatting. After that it felt like our server was irritated with us the rest of our stay because we had gone up to the host stand.

    It was my sons 18th birthday! We had a small group and we met at 11:30am. The table was setup for us and the server was ready to take our drink orders immediately! Everything went smoothly and the service was amazing!

    The food and service are great, no complaints there. The noise level in the dining room... it's way too loud in there. Why are there so many restaurants with concrete floors and no sound absorption? We had a (small) table for 4 and had a very hard time hearing each other. The tables surrounding us had children as well, which was kind of a bummer because we left our kids at home and were looking forward to an adult night out. It's great they let children there, but they were running around and banging on plates, which added to the noise. Just not the ambiance I want for dinner. Based on that, I probably won't come back to dine.

    food was very good but not fantastic. Prices felt a little high for the area. Drinks were small and pricey. My husband had a bloody Mary, it wasn’t great and it’s the smallest we had ever been served. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. We had gotten the vibe we would need a reservation so I made one but we were only 1 if maybe 3 groups there. It’s a fun atmosphere. I just wish the menu were a little bigger and prices just a little less. I will still go again, just not for a while.
