All three of us were quite pleased with the fare: a Reuben that was wonderful, a burger that was very well prepared and a chicken salad that was fresh and taste. Our server was very attentive. We were very pleased with our dining experience.

The West Park Tavern is a reliable "Go To" neighborhood restaurant. There is nothing particularly creative on the menu and it offers a fairly standard "bar food" selection. That said, I have still been pleased with everything I have ever ordered. Their salads are plentiful to which I have added salmon that was quite good and cooked to my specification (rare). Others whom I have dined with have also been happy with their selections. It's by no means a fancy place, but has a pleasant atmosphere. The bar area looks inviting, although I have never dined or socialized in it. The service has always been excellent, the prices are very reasonable, and the food, consistently good. Best of all, it is in my neighborhood. The West Park Tavern has yet to disappoint me.

Met friend for a quick lunch. Its a nicely designed sports bar with a lot of charm. Outside seating too and plenty of parking in shopping center lot. My friend's mom recommend the rueban sandwhich...it was huge and she commented delicious! I had the spicy 10 oz burger with side of fried pickles. Burger was great, although I had to remove a few jalapeños...too hot. I loved their frickles (fried pickles ) too!

We usually have good luck at WPT, but not on this occasion. While our server was new to the position, he tried his best to provide good service. Unfortunately, he mad an error on the order which really put a damper on the evening. My son received my burger on his bun and with his fixings while my hamburger was very, very rare and not what I ordered. So, I had to wait for them to prepare another burger. By the time it arrived, I had eaten my side and my family had already finished their meal. The burger was good - but it would have been nice to have it arrive with the rest of my meal. They charged us half-price for my entree which was a nice gesture but it was difficult to recover after the mistake that was made. Not sure we will be back..........

It was 95 degrees outside and after we ordered our dinner and received our drinks and appetizers we asked the waitress why the restaurant was so warm. The waitress then told us the air conditioning unit was out and they weren't sure when it would be fixed. I would have expected that they would have told us this prior to seating us. It ruined a rare night out with friends. Food was probably good but we were too hot to enjoy it

We have always been served consistently good food at WPT until this particular occasion. We will chalk it up to an off night. French fries were over-cooked with a very skimpy portion of chicken tenders. Cole slaw was blah. My guest's salad that was just so-so. We will give them another try and hope for better fare.

Having recently moved to the Cary/Morrisville area from Boston, I've been trying to find good restaurants without having to drive into Raleigh. WPT has become part of the rotation for my family. The pub burgers, although pricy for the area at ~$13, are really good. The beer selection is decent. It's a good spot to catch a game with friends or dine out with the family. Being able to make a quick reservation via Opentable is key.
