The restaurant has one of the most spectacular views in all of Aspen. The dining room is pleasant and comfortable. When coming to Aspen we always choose to dine at West End Social and look forward to our meal. This dining experience however was not as great as we’ve had in the past. For the most part the meal and food was still very good, there were some bumps but that’s to be expected. In the past we’ve enjoyed the farm to table experience and the offerings on the menu reflected this as well as some very fun an inventive dishes. This dinning experience was not that. The meal was standard fair, good food but nothing stood out as extraordinary. In addition the timing of the meal service was off and my husband waited 20 minutes before he even got his dish and his duck was undercooked. Beyond that…..the communication from start to finish was not up to par for what we would expect at a high priced restaurant in Aspen. Our server was very inexperienced and not up to the task of a 6 top table to say the least. She was pleasant enough but wasn’t able to clearly explain the various dishes on the menu and after taking our order returned 10 minutes later to tell us that they ran out of scallops. Our reservation was at 7pm, so this struck us as odd. We also reminded her several times to serve on the right and clear on the left. There was a time when one of our guests accidentally bumped into her arm while reaching for their glass because she was again serving on the wrong side. We were sitting with our plates empty for 15 minutes until one of our guests asked her to bus the table which she did by stacking the plates on top of each other in front of each guests. It was the equivalent to service in an airport cafeteria not fine dining in Aspen. A new server approached our table at the end of the meal to take our desert order which he sadly got wrong. To surmise, inventive and fresh options were lacking, and quality of service was not up to par for West End Social.

Farm to Table Menu Aside from the amazing views of the Rockies, the menu is well thought out and presented. April, a local farmer and our server provided a well informed summary of the menu options. The new white bean dip selection had a nice blend of textures and seasoning. We each enjoyed the dry aged maple duck and the mushroom ravioli with fiddle head fern. Do not pass on desert, as it turned out to be highlight of the meal with a surprising trio of honey bee treats.

The sun was out and Everything was beautiful…the view, the drinks, the space, the food and desserts. What a great Mother’s Day brunch. See you next year

Restaurant was closed for the off-season but no notice was given about that. In fact, specifically picked this restaurant because it was open (according to Open Table & Google) and because the restaurant supposedly has amazing views. Had to eat in the lounge area, and with limited menu and NO VIEW. Wait staff said we should have been notified. Wait staff were very nice, but food was just ok. Duck was very salty, and meal was expensive given the circumstances. Overall one star for closing without notice, the overpriced mediocre food, and the lack of a view.

Amazing architectural masterpiece of a restaurant with incredible views and food to match! Michelin quality plates frequently made with local produce, meats, and honey. One of the nicest experiences in a long time. Highly recommend!

This Farm-to-Table restaurant is a hidden gem in Aspen. It's off the beaten path, but worth it. The food is excellent, the service is helpful, and the view is stunning.

My server, Tyler, made some fantastic recommendations. I had the sweet and salty caviar, Caesar salad, sands, the croutons, and the duck. All were amazing. The service was fantastic! I would definitely come back here again.
