We had been to Welly’s in Hudson and love the food. Eating outdoors is challenging because of the noisy traffic, so we decided to try the restaurant in Marlboro. The difference in noise was appreciable. Even with the occasional motorcycle and dual muffler muscle cars that drove by. Our server was great, as was the food. My haddock arrived piping hot. My husband’s steak tips were cooked to his liking of well done, while not being dried out. The arrived hot as well. The sides were hot and delicious. All well prepared and delicious. We will definitely be back.

Had a great lunch at Wellys. The waitstaff was awesome! It’s one of my go to places. Fish always fresh. Got a booth in the main dining room; do not care for the other rooms; much too noisy, acoustics bad. Prices have gone up, but will pay as long as food and service stay excellent. Staff cares…service is important as food for me.

We had an outstanding Dinner experience at Welly’s last night. Shawn the bartender was amazing!! His level of service was outstanding and his genuine style really made our experience fantastic. The food was also outstanding with a great list of wine and crafted cocktails. Also a great location and atmosphere for really any occasion. Definitely a must!!

3 stars because it is my go-to restaurant and the food was excellent as usual. But I requested a more secluded outdoor table than the one I got (and there were ideal ones empty for our entire stay which made my unfulfilled request even more frustrating). It was loud at our table and the AC above one of the restaurant doors was dripping which was splashing on us (even after the waitress and I moved the table as much as we could away from the drip). Wind was worse than forecasted and although that is not the restaurant's fault, had we been at one of the more secluded tables they offer better sound and wind protection than the table they sat us at. I'll go there again for sure (the food IS excellent) but may stick to takeout next time!

Service was excellent and food was very good. I was disappointed though that I was seated at a picnic table with bench seats ( vs a chair) since I had made a reservation for outside. The Picnic tables with benches were all that was left when we got there 10 minutes before our reservation time. The benches were very hard on my back.

I had been to Welly’s probably over 15 years ago because I moved out of state and decided to take my Mom there for Mother’s Day! We all enjoyed it. Staff was friendly. The owner even stopped at the table to say hello which was a nice touch. The food was also good. I’ll be back.

We LOVE Welly's! We have met for our Girls Night Out twice at Welly's and both times the food and service is absolutely fantastic! The waitstaff is so attentive and fun! The manager paid us a visit and he was wonderful as well! The atmosphere is fun and the decor is very nice. The food and drinks are absolutely to die for. I want to keep going back until I try everything on the menu!

Everything was wonderful except for the original table seating. We explicitly requested a booth as as we were celebrating our 53rd wedding Anniv. When we arrived all the booths were taken and we were given the smaller table in the corner by the mens/ladies rooms which I don;t consider a booth. A booth soon became available and on request our waitress immediately changed us. I felt by making a reservation 2 days our preferences could have been easily met especially at the earlier hour of 5:00pm. I also thought someone mind mention our Anniversary as your reservation asks if its for any special occasion. Other than this minor inconvienence our dining experience was very enjoyable and our waitress very nice & attentive. Thanks

Wellys is my go to in Marlborough several times a month w/family or friends. The food is ALWAYS exceptional, particularly the seafood dishes. Waitstaff attentive.And the cheesecake dessert is to die for. Keep that pastry chef or supplier! But this time had a waiter who spoke so fast that we could not understand him. He rushed us thru the whole meal. Also took away my partner’s plate before I was done. This is a big no in my book. Additionally, having to use one of the handheld credit card/ordering machines that a gazillion people have touched freaked me out. (Germs). The new bar layout is fantastic, manager always friendly and works to make one’s dining experience good. Prices are up like everywhere, but willing to pay for good service & food. Overall, would’ve given the usual five stars Wellys deserves, but for the hyper waiter. Next visit do not want him serving my table.

Unfortunately, although they did do renovations, that came at a cost to patrons. The meal prices for specials were increased. Also - we were stuck in the far back of the restaurant against the glass closest to City Hall. The table was tucked partway underneath a strange counter that is at standing height, which meant our shoulders were underneath it and if we turned our head quickly we could conceivably hit our head on that granite counter. I think that space was meant for bar stools, not a short table. And, there was cold air pouring in from the seam in one of the windows. While it was somewhat busy, it took 14 minutes for our server to acknowledge us. And, the "taco Thursday" specials were definitely not as good as the ones in Hudson. I had the beef which was super dry. And my boyfriend had a blackened fish and a couple chicken ones. It was laughable how small the chicken portion was. If you pieced all of the chicken together from the three chicken tacos you might have been able to make a chicken tender...and two of those small pieces were pure gristle. All in all, we were very surprised by how bad our experience was since people rave about the Marlborough location. We will stick with the Hudson location going forward even though we live in Marlborough.

We had eaten at Welly's in Hudson and liked it so, since we were going to be in Marlboro, thought we would try this location. Really liked the food, atmosphere and service, but it happened to be very loud last night. The waitress said it was unusually loud. We will, however, eat there again.

Great local pub..fabulous salads, sandwiches and entrees...very accommodating to those with food allergies...fast, efficient, friendly service...can’t go wrong for lunch, dinner, or takeout.
