Wear Park Restaurant at Exeter Golf and Country Club offers a picturesque setting for lunch, afternoon tea and Sunday roast with views across the putting greens from the Georgian manor house.

The Monday - Saturday lunch menu is perfect for meeting up with colleagues, clients, family or friends, with two and three course lunch offers as well as sandwiches and light bites. The relaxed elegance of the restaurant and impeccable service makes afternoon tea and Sunday lunch a great choice for special occasions as well as casual catch-ups.

When we arrived they said we didn’t have a table booked.we gave them the reference number which you sent us and they said we don’t use them anymore. And will see if they can fit us in. When the menu came the prices had gone up from £25 pounds for a 3 course to over £35 . So we complained and they said they couldn’t do anything about it which ruined the atmosphere completely.😡😡

My wife and I hosted lunch for three friends in WP, two of the friends were first time visitors. All to the usual very high standard at excellent value for money in delightful surroundings and ambience. They wish to return!

Food not very well cooked.Steaks tough.Fish batter greasy and fish did not taste very fresh, hard peas and chips too. Wafer with ice cream stale.Good coffee tea and wine and soft drink.Water fromthe tap.Slow service as not busy but staff friendly, polite and helpful.

Since the recent refurbishment this place looks and feels fantastic. The food was lovely and the service was great. My Dad has mobility issues and the new disabled access was perfect. We had lunch but others were having afternoon teas which looked amazing. There is outside seating if the weather is nice. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely afternoon tea, but we both felt that more finger sandwiches than rolls, thought the rolls are a bit filling, and disappointed with the jam.

I enjoyed my solo lunch at Wear Park Restaurant. It is a comfortable dining room with an interesting mix of customers. The view overlooking the grounds of the Country Club is particularly special on a summer's day. The service was good - polite, friendly and efficient. The food offering was well presented, good quality using mainly "healthy" ingredients. I enjoyed the salt and pepper squid starter and the monk fish with vegetables main course. The summer pudding was good too, if a little sweet. The wine list was well priced and well chosen. I will eat there again and probably take others with me next time. In summary, a good value, reliable eatery. I recommend you try it.

We arrived 20 mins early for a pre lunch drink and the waitress Paulina took our food order but regretably 30 mins after being shown to our table Starters had still not arrived. When prompted waiter Bernardo agreed to sort this out but it still took another 20 mins. Apparently our Order had gone missing but obviously found again as they knew what food we had ordered. Bernardo did his very best to make amends and reduced our final bill by about 20% and also told us that Manager Luke had been informed but we ver saw him before we left.
