We loved evrything! Food delicious and service fantastic! Definitely going back if i go back to boston!
We had a wonderful time. The services was very attentive & the food delicious.
Amazing pasta, very fresh oysters, great service (unfortunately slightly short staffed, perhaps they need to pay significantly more to attract workers), quiet to easily hear my table, slightly darker than I would like.
Dollar oysters with absinthe cocktails for happy hour? Yes please.
We each had a different pasta and all were delicious and expertly cooked. The perfect al dente. The uni pasta was so unique and memorable. Cocktails were good but standard for what you’ll find in Cambridge. Servers were trying hard to be attentive, but the restaurant is clearly understaffed. Concrete floors look great but echo the sound. Go somewhere else if you have someone with hearing limitations in your party.
Amazing food and wonderful service. Pricey but worth it!
Great night Out... Amazing drinks and Pizza! Enjoyed the upbeat attitude... Great Job Staff!
I’ve been coming here since they opened. Service was disinterested at best. Wine was average, at best, and too warm. Food was among the worst I’ve had there, and definitely not good compared to what else is around.
The food was not very flavorful. Ordered the fluke which was not described on the menu as raw fish or sushi so was surprised when it arrived.
Would benefit from more straightforward seafood options - better variety of fish offerings (without pasta) or fish in single servings (not whole and to be shared).
Overall good experience but nothing blew us away. For the price point expected a little more. Service was great and waitress was very personable.
We were late for our reservation, but Waypoint and it’s team handled it perfectly. They held our table, but informed us that there was another reservation coming in after us. We had theatre tickets, so no problem. The server was quick, efficient, and collaborative by telling us what we should order to meet our time to leave. I don’t remember her name, but she was great.
The pasta was amazingly good, melt in your mouth. I highly recommend it. We had the lobster and the uni. I will be back.
Friendly service, tasty food. The oysters are really superb!
We reserved a high top but ended up in the other section. The tables were way too close together, someone was coughing next to me and near my food and I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. We sat for 20 mins before seeing a server or getting any water.
As a single gal eating alone, I went for brunch and the $1. Oysters. A bit hard to find, but waitstaff was friendly and the food was lovely.
Chefs table experience was outstanding. Great view of kitchen and staff in action- service exceptional and the food: regional offerings perfectly prepared & plated. Chef Robbie & his staff left us wanting for nothing, except a return visi soon!
First time and will definitely be back!
The atmosphere was awesome, very busy when we got there (which we like) - it got a little quieter as the evening went on. The lobster tail was the best that i have ever had! All of our food was delicious. They had super unique cocktails and a great wine selection. Would definitely recommend for a date night or out with friends/family. The service was great too!
First time and delighted with the food and the service! The food was unusual and different from most restaurants we frequent.
The Manager, Erica is awesome. We loved the oysters and pizza, too.,
I would prefer not to have loud music piped into the restaurant.
The food is sad. For $28 dollars you get a 1 inch piece of lobster over some black rice that are not cooked swimming in some kind of oil. For $20’you get two pieces of squash and two pieces of Zucchini. The only thing worth eating was the whole Bronzino but it was small and $55 dollars
Decent food and pretty good drinks but nothing that would make me want to come back. Nice place for a cocktail and a couple plates to share. Would recommend the zucchini twists.
didn't care for the food at all. the chicken literally came out with the full winged feet on it. was not prepared for that!
The place looks and feels great but was very busy for the staff to acknowledge any needs. They only have a few wines and most weren't available. I settled for the one given and requested a cocktail since I was so eager to try this place, I wanted to give everything a chance. The server recommended one and I could go pasts the first sip. It tasted like cough drops. We also ordered oysters which were delicious but the steak was rubbery and almost needed a steak knife for my lobster. I would maybe go back on a more casual occasion to try the raw menu.
We ate at Waypoint this week and found the service outstanding and the food very tasty. There were three in our party and we ordered food that we could share- which was encouraged by wait staff.
The roast half chicken and bowl of brussels sprouts were very good and could be shared easily. However, the wood fired octopus was just ONE small tentacle and the salmon was pretty small- maybe 4 fork bites- hardly share worthy.
As the wait staff made clear, the food, unlike other restaurants, does not come out at the same time - The spouts came out first and the chicken arrived at least 15 minutes- interesting idea if you have lots of time to dine. (possibly they are trying to copy European dining which can last hours.)
So, overall we had a good experience but the place is a bit pricey, particularly for ONE tentacle and small bite sized salmon.
This place is very special. Food is amazing as is atmosphere. I realize that all places are short staffed now but 20 minutes to get a cocktail after we ordered and it came after our Salads arrived is frustrating. Otherwise definitely recommend highly.
Excellent innovative edited menu; well executed by the kitchen. Good drinks.
Great unconventional food, friendly service reasonably priced. Overall excellent place for dinner and drinks
Waypoint is our favorite restaurant in town. Highly recommend it!
Another wonderful, prolonged early dinner at Waypoint. Oysters on special, smelts, clam pizza, salmon, a really good steak, expertly made cocktails, and a great wine list made for an excellent afternoon. Delicious robiola and truffle ravioli needed half a minute more cooking and the crab pasta needed a bit more crab, but that's nit-picking. Max tended bar and educated me to new absinthes. Noise level was a little high at the bar, but I'm older and a little hard of hearing -- probably wouldn't bother the average diner. We'll return often. An underappreciated jewel of a restaurant functioning at a very high level both in food and in service.
Music a little loud.
Varied menu accommodates group with varied tastes
Touted s a seafood restaurant, we expected a substantial number of choices of FISH. We were sorely disappointed, so much so that we would wound up ordering pizzas. (You'll never make it asa a pizzeria!)
Food is very good including oysters and the main plates. But the portions of their main plates are tiny and so was their desserts.
The problem with the evening occurred when our servers forgot about us and we had to forgo our drink/dessert orders and ask other employees for the check. I understand that COVID-19 has impacted the service industry by removing seasoned professionals. However, it's not a high bar to just check on patrons.
The menu features some imaginatively prepared food that we greatly enjoyed. The roasted striped bass on the cucumber panzanella was unbelievably delicious. The cacio e pepe with lobster was amazing.
My main concern was the wine list. The markup on these wines was very high. What's going on with this? A bottle of 25 or 30 dollar wine at retail, cost 125 to 150. It makes dining here a very expensive proposition. There ought to be several wines priced accessibly. We had the Greek xinomavro which went beautifully with the food, was a good wine, ample acid and lowish alcohol at a price of $45. More of these should be possible knowing that there is so much good wine out there that doesn't cost your mortgage.
Really amazing food and cocktails! Each drink/plate was beautiful. The oysters were so fresh and the mignonette on them was perfect! We had the fried brussels sprouts and salmon crudo as well and both were just awesome!
Service was fantastic, drinks were great. Food was very good, but the only reason I’m writing this is because the pizzas have never been to the quality level they were at pre-COVID. The clam pizza, especially, has far less topping and the crust bottom is never crisp enough — but we used to love it so much that we keep trying.
Delicious food and very nice ambiance, waiter was ok... I still recommend this place
