   Had such an amazing dinner experience here! Ambiance, service, and food was great! Kitchen manager Hannah & general manager Andreas provided superior quality & service!

   The service was slow. Which is funny because they specifically tell you that you’re only allowed to have the table for an hour and a half. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer, and our appetizer came before the cocktails. The food was definitely good and a reason to go back. But the hostess could definitely be more inviting. It was confusing where you were supposed to check in. We were wandering around and no one stopped to tell us.

   We dined outdoors at Waxin’s last night for the first time. This was by our first experience eating at a Swedish restaurant and our host was most helpful with his suggestions. We followed them and had a delightful and delicious experience. The weather outdoors in SWFL for late April was wonderful, and added to our evening. We shared the charcuterie board , the Toast Skagen, and the Wallenbaerger. We were too full for dessert afterwards. So maybe next time !!

   The food was great and creative, Atmosphere was perfect, and our server was very attentive, but not overbearing. We enjoyed the evening.

   First time patrons but not the last time. Wow. We frequent Mercato and have walked by Waxim’s but were never sure if it was “ worth it”. Well it is. The menu is in early rendition but we ordered two traditional meals and they were plentiful, delicious and eye appealing. The appetizer with the caviar was so yummy and the cocktail selection was good. The atmosphere is causal euro with a focus on the bar as it IS in the center of everything but doesn’t feel like a bar: well done! Our waitress - her name escapes me - but was over the top helpful and made us feel very welcomed ( she was maybe Hungarian). Can not wait to return and bring friends.

   Bathrooms were gross and dirty, paper menus had food stains and we were told we had to be out in 2 hrs! Obnoxious and the food wasn’t great either considering the prices, will not be going back.

   Our first time there and this will be our last! Disappointed the service was very poor, went with a party of 8 and had to ask multiple times just to get water. Didn’t clear our table for a very long time after we finished our food until I grabbed someone and said can you please clear our table. Food came out cool and meat in a Swedish dish that was asked to be medium rare was like leather. Waiter never really followed through on much.

   Coming from Sweden we were very happy with typical Swedish dishes but even the international cuisine was well represented.

   One steak filet wasn't cooked properly. Sent it back and still was not medium well. Missing silverware, empty salt and pepper, including seven dollars for a little bread and butter was a surprise to us. We'd heard it was great, but not up to the level they need to be to compete in this market. Manager was sitting at the bar the whole time. Thoroughly not impressed.

    It took one hour to get our meals. My wife had the Cod which she liked but the shrimp was very small and came in a little cup cold. I had a Swedish meatloaf it was terrible! I was going to order a steak but it stated 45 minutes to prepare! Oh no 2 hours for dinner too arrive. The waiter saw my plate was still full and asked if I enjoyed my dinner. I said no and took it off the bill. Will not be back. Too many great restaurants there to waste my time and money
