Blue Moon TapHouse was born from the creative inspiration of bringing craftsmanship to life. The menu marries the art of cooking with the art of beer in an open kitchen. The Tavern features live music and authentic art by local artists. The TapHouse boasts 22,550 square footage and connects Waterside Drive to the Elizabeth River waterfront in the heart of downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Blue Moon TapHouse at Waterside District features three unique dining and entertainment experiences throughout the venue. The tavern area, with comfortable, booth-style seating, features a custom designed circular bar serving a collection of featured beers on tap, a stage for intimate, live music performances and an outdoor patio. Met some friends out for apps/drinks and it was overall a good experience. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back for another outing with friends.

I had such high hopes but they were tragically let down. Food was meh, $21 for crab Mac and cheese that looked like someone opened a pouch from a freezer; cheese was watery and I couldn’t find any crab. Took two bites and I was done. Not to mention I had to wait twice as long as the rest of my table because my order was entered incorrectly (big difference between crab Mac and shrimp and grits), and I was still charged full price for my meal with zero remorse for getting my order wrong. It’s really too bad bc it’s a perfect location and I’d love to be a regular customer. They definitely have some work to do. Good beer though.

Average at best. Served cold fries but that was quickly fixed however the fries are nothing other than average Burgers were average and not a good value. Restaurant adds a 3% fee even though VA made it illegal to do so three weeks ago .

Took 12 minutes to be noticed another 7 minutes to get drink orders. The only plus was food took less than 10 minutes to arrive. But was subpar drinks felt watered down I had 3 cocktails and never felt a buzz. Waitstaff huddled into groups laughing talking and not paying attention to anyone

I did not expect the food to be that good. That was the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. I mean, I’m from the Midwest, but still.

Our server was incredibly kind, our food came out cold, but overall not a bad time just wish our food had all come out at the same time and it was hot but it’s okay just not for me
