It was absolutely delicious with a perfect ambiance.
Every single thing we ate was delicious, and Chad is a fantastic server! One of my favorite places downtown.
We go for happy hour. Always get the oysters and calamari. Both are always super fresh and delicious
Ambiance and service was excellent. The halibut was delicious but not unique for the price.
Excellent service and food! Never have a bad experience there!
Wonderful food and attentive service.
Great food and service.
This was a fairly unremarkable experience except for the $21 charge to valet park. There was nothing wrong with the food it was just unable to measure up to the menu pricing. Dozen oysters ordered as an appetizer was completely underwhelming. They looked under nourished, small, puny. $48 for what appeared to be a 6oz piece of fish needs to be more impressive than what we were served. Either more flavor or a more interesting presentation, not just plate, fish, too much sauce, that’s it. It felt to me like this was one of those restaurants that takes themselves a little too seriously. The music was at a very low volume as though they were trying to not wake somebody. The server was well intentioned, he just had too many people. The look and style reminded me of a restaurant from the early/ mid ‘90’s. At $100 a person it just wasn’t enough bang for the Buck. The best thing we ate was the slice of fried goat cheese that came on the terribly overdressed salad of wilted arugula swimming in dressing. Couldn’t in good conscience recommend this restaurant to a friend and unfortunately I would not go back either
A great escape from the world of beef
Wine list is well curated and interesting. Shrimp and Crab ceviche was fresh and delicious. The Wagyu Beef burger was perfectly cooked and beautifully garnished.
Very disappointed at the cost of the Valet. Definitely is a deterrent to downtown dining which is very sad for our hard working chefs and restauranteurs.
Excellent food, drinks, and service
Overall, great experience. Sat at a regular table in the bar area by windows. We had the oyster appetizer and they were very tasty. Entrees were Halibut and Crab Cakes with shareable sides. Craft drinks were really good as well! Definitely recommend!
We loved our evening here!!
The grouper could have used some sort of sauce other than butter and the snapper was a bit tough. Overall, the flavors were ok, but not as elevated as the price point. The dressing on the tomato and goat cheese salad was not complementary.
Amazing food and excellent service. Highly recommend! Best seafood that I have had in years!
Have been to Waters before but usually outside in the warmer weather. Had a date that included dinner and the Nutcracker. Our food was incredible! Service was above and beyond. Waiter knew we had tickets to the show and keep the service a high quality but on schedule. Thank You for adding greatly to a beautiful night
The restaurant is beautiful and food was spectacular. We had a lovely evening catching up with old friends.
Delicious meal and great service!
Very nice. Great service
Loved the foods and the staff. Had a nice window view so could enjoy people watching. Food was delicious, had the crab cakes and the Lobster Mac and Cheese, both were wonderful. Just wish they had sweet tea.
Very enjoyable with creative menu.
Great food but took an hour for our food to arrive. Was told because the steak takes a long time and that I should have them butterfly it next time. Became a bit uncomfortable once people came in 30 minutes after us, ordered then got their food before us. Other than that it was good.
The Waters Restaurant was great. The seafood and the steak were both great.
Everything about our meal and dining experience was exceptional. I was there with my husband for our wedding anniversary and we spent the entire time delighted with the food and service and able to enjoy each other’s company and the whole experience.
We had an oyster flight and really liked being able to follow all along with the menu as we ate, so we had some context for what we were sampling. That added a lot to the experience. I really appreciated our server, Jacob’s, unprompted recommendations as he went through the menu as well. I have no doubt that we would have been happy with anything we chose, but I always appreciate hearing what other people like and why. It’s very clear that a lot of thought and care have been put into both of Chef Bonnell’s restaurants and we are huge fans. We’ve been to each once so far and both are at the top of best food and dining I’ve ever experienced. Can’t wait to be back!
Food was phenomenal and the service was amazing! We defiantly will be back!
Celebrated my wife’s birthday and it was awesome. Food was great and service was outstanding. Well worth the price.
Food was really good, but really expensive. First $300 dinner (for 2 people), ive had in a long time, and we only had 2 drinks each. Place was dead in the bar area, too. Way too quiet. Service was fine....waiter was nice enough, but I felt like we got forgotten a few times because we were in the bar area and not the main dining room.
Finally, valet parking is NOT validated, so was more than a little surprised to be paying ANOTHER $30, on top of our $300 dinner, to have the car parked. That's not standard anywhere I have ever been - valet is included if your dropping your car off right outside the restaurant, which we did. The oysters were really, really good.
The food and service were the best! With the Christmas tree lit downtown the whole evening felt very festive.
Cocktails were even named in a holiday theme! So fun!
Waters never disappoints. Our favorite restaurant in downtown Fort Worth. This visit was no exception and reminds us of why we dine at Waters when in Fort Worth. Had not been since Covid outbreak. Delighted to have been able to return.
Everything was great. Food was only a four as they took a bit long to bring us the entrees. But it tasted fabulous.
The Dirty Dozen is always a great starter. We split an avocado and crab meat salad that was a perfect portion for enjoying the rest of the meal. The crab cakes were delicious
Everything at this restaurant is top notch- the food is plated beautifully! The flavors are superb and the seafood is fresh. Portions may be a little on the small side if you have a hefty appetite. The service is exquisite and they check on you regularly but not too often. It’s a favorite restaurant to dine at prior to a show at Bass Hall.
Our outdoor experience with the wine and brine was fantastic ( (our server was Trey (we think with longer curly dark hair): I will say, when we went inside for dinner, our server wasn’t as great. Food was amazing:
We ate here before going to Bass Hall. The services was great and the food was delicious. We ordered from the happy hour menu and there was plenty of food.
It was all fabulous!
It has been about 3 years since we had been to Waters and used to love it. However, last night has changed our minds about going back. My husband & I both had the fish and chips, my husband had a salad, and we both had 1 drink. The bill including tip was $160! The fish sat upon the french fries and they were greasy and soggy. We had requested more bread but it never came. It was a Tuesday night so it wasn't that busy but the service was just "ok". This is not what we were expecting from a Bonnell restaurant.
Celebrated our son's birthday. Our seafood tower appetizer had more seafood than expected and was delicious. Our meal was good right down to dessert. We will happily visit them again.
Waters is always a great place. Chef Jon Bonnell does a great job with his menu. I highly recommend the fried oysters "Texasfellers"
After having purchased two cookbooks from chef Bonnell, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to dine at Waters. The food and service was sterling. I will say the valet parking situation was most convoluted, required so much work on the patron to answer numerous questions to get the car upon leaving the restaurant. And you have to enter your credit card through an unsecured system from your phone to pay for parking. Most disturbing.
