I had high expectations of the Waterfront Southgate as I have been to other locations which were fabulous. However this night did not meet the mark. Service was slow and we had to constantly ask for basic items, our order came wrong, one of our dishes we don’t even know what we got as we can’t even find it on the menu, and the meals we received were average.

Unfortunately this time at the waterfront was very underwhelming. Food was not only cold but over cooked. Service was average at best. We waited for drinks and the wait staff didn’t return until lunch was finished so we didn’t bother ordering the 2nd bottle of wine

Great place to spend a special day with friends. Friendly, efficient staff, great ambience and fine food. Also, you have the bonus of watching Melbourne's eclectic mix of people stroll past between you and the Yarra river. We loved it!

Not pleased with table seating, staff were not attentive enough. I have eaten at Waterfront a few times before this and I found the food to not be at the same standard. For a medium rare steak, it was too overdone on the outside and too underdone inside.

We’ve dined here a few times and always enjoyed the food and service - consistently good and beautifully presented. Service was friendly this time, though we’ve had better experiences on previous visits. Still a lovely spot and worth coming back to!
