We ate outside and really enjoyed the atmosphere and views. Better bring a jacket because it can be a little chilly and breezy!

A lovely special occasion experience! On a warm, full moon evening we watched boats on the Bay in the changing light. Service was excellent - we were charmed and surprised to receive a comp, personalized dessert.
The food was okay. I had seen the menu in advance so I wasn’t surprised by its limitations or prices. As a pescatarian I am drawn to the restaurant’s focus, but would have liked more options. I prefer simple preparations that let the quality of the seafood shine. But
the menu likely reflects supply issues: based on our meal, the quality of the seafood is inconsistent.
I’ll continue to visit to sip wine, eat oysters and dessert and enjoy the exquisite environment!

Waterbar is a lovely restaurant with great views. It has an interesting and tempting menu. Our experience there was quite good, but with 2 problems, which turned it into a 3 star night instead of a 5 star night.
First, our starters and drinks came out quickly and were wonderful. Then our first course came out right on time, and was also delicious.
The problem started with the entree course. We had to wait more than THIRTY minutes for it after our first course. Very bad timing on the part of the kitchen. And no apology forthcoming for the overlong wait.
Then, one of our entrees was so overcooked it was inedible (halibut). Obviously it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a long time. It had developed a crust so thick that the filet had to be turned over just to try to eat it. But eating it was impossible as it was as dry as cardboard and nearly as stiff as cardboard too.
The service was terrific. The first two courses were terrific. It's a very pretty place, if very noisy. But with the entree delivery problem and the terrible quality of one entree, we will hesitate to return.
We must give the restaurant credit as when we brought the entree problem to their attention, they offered to replace it (what, wait another half hour?) which we declined. And they credited us for the cost of the entree. But we still had the poor experience which partly ruined what would have been a very nice evening.

Early dining due to meeting colleagues for a working happy hour meeting. We sat upstairs on the terrace and it was perfect, lovely view, not too many tables, we were the first, and quiet.
We only snacked and drank - oysters, crudo, crab salad and sourdough. Accidentally dumped my martini when helping rearrange the table for the oysters and they insisted on bringing me a new one even though I said there wasn’t that much left.
I’ve dined at Waterbar on and off since they opened and it’s an excellent experience.
Great seafood, great location, drinks and doing their best to source sustainably!

This place had a great ambiance. Service was great!
Kitchen was super off - food took forever and then it arrived cold and poorly cooked. And waaay over salted. Service wasn’t much better and the manager was terrible. I know it’s tough for restaurants right now but over $200 for a meal should mean really good food. This place is better for some drinks and the view. Not worth the dinner price. Stick to smaller places with owner chefs - skip Waterbar.
You are entitled to take away whatever perception you like Eraot. No one that works at Waterbar is terrible. We have been making our guests happy for 14 years and love doing so. Best regards, Rich T.

Their daily oyster special is a gem. I think it's offered between 12pm-5pm so go take advantage of it. The view was exceptional. The service was great. The coffee was surprisingly good, too. We loved the appetizers the most.

There were three of us. A great house wine Textbook a premiere Nape Vally Cabernet Sauvignon 2019.
Hors d'oeuvres Alpine Bay, Salt Nuyget, Beousolie all are oysters on the half shell.
One had Steak with great potatoes another had Sea Bass and I had a northern marine fish-Halibut. All was great!
