    We arrived early and sat at the bar for a glass of wine and an appetizer.The bar service was great. Then we went to our table. The menu has been quite slimmed down from the past choices. The squid dish my wife had was good but not worth the price! My dish was a grilled dorado, which sounded good but was a bit dry and had a lot of small bones to deal with. The waiter deboned it, but I kept finding bones throughout the dish. Not really that relaxing and enjoyable.

    Over-priced and under-whelming. A visiting British friend wanted to treat me to lunch and I picked Waterbar bc of the views and fresh seafood menu. Later when I happened to see the lunch bill (over $225), I was ashamed and embarrassed. Wine by-the-glass options start at $20. A sparse chicory salad with a few clumps of blue cheese cost $15. My friend’s sword fish was thin and overwhelmed by some creamy sauce. Our server was morose and never smiled once. The french fries were good and the views of the Bay Bridge are stunning. Never going back. Wouldn’t recommend.

    We had a great experience celebrating our 40th anniversary at Waterbar last night. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. I had hoped for a table right by the window to get the best view of the Bay, but that didn't happen. However, our great waiter (Jerome) offered us champagne to make up for it as well as comped our dessert which was customized for our anniversary. The only downside is that the acoustics aren't the best. Therefore, it can be a bit loud until you get used to it and can speak to your partner where you can hear each other. I highly recommend Waterbar and will go back again soon!

    Been here many times and my wife’s go to …til the last meal..multiple problems Ordered a kettle 1 vodka martini and gin was served. Pointed it out and vodka martini served but not kettle 1 My wife had swordfish and one piece was by her estimation not worth the risk of eating She didn’t want to alert anyone and just at the piece that was fine I was to be served medium rare lamb…It came very rare, and the entire presentation was best described as luke warm…literally and figcrativly. I pointed it out and they reheated my plate….as opposed to providing a new serving….at that the lamb was still rare but at least warm….yes I AM PERFECTLY aware of the difference between rare. MR, medium and well done The staff is always good as usual…my tip reflected their service and not the food Now my wife refuses to go back and that bums me out

    This restaurant was renovated recently and now even more attractive. We are coming there for years and it never disappoints! The food is great, so is service. The ambience is outstanding, the location and view is spectacular! We came for lunch on May 31 and were surprised with live music! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great time around Embarcadero area!

    Food was amazing oysters were so fresh. The crab was also so delicious and fresh. The service was also one of the best I’ve had. Definitely elevated the experience. My girlfriend and I would definitely come back. Especially for the oyster happy hour!!
