I went with my fiancé to celebrate our anniversary with brunch and it was wonderful! The owners were so sweet and our waitress was fabulous! We loved being there so much we ended up staying to try a flight of wine. Amazing space and place that is truly a gem!

This is the best restaurant I have dined at in my lifetime. The wine was excellent, the atmosphere amazing, the menu eclectic and wonderful. Everyone seemed to be impressed.

Great Food. Great Service. Really nice owner/operators. Went for brunch. Next time we are in town we will go for dinner. Don't miss the pastry tray or the cinnamon roll. Everything that came out of the kitchen either looked good or what we ordered was good. Neat building and history. Really nice wine selection.

Wandering Vine has quietly become one of the best restaurants in Kansas City. The chef's attention to quality and flavor is impeccable and the owners are the most gracious hosts.. Every time we visit is a wonderful experience.

The staff is top notch, the kind you'd expect from a five star resturant inside a literal castle. The food was incredible, they've got a great chef, the cocktails were also of great quality, not simply tossing ingredients in a glass and sending it out while offering an impressive wine selection. The owner make's their rounds and interacts with the guests, and provides great local history and well thought out experiences for guests with special occasions. They're a local small buisness and set the bar high in comparison to what you'd expect at both downtown and Leawood plaza's. Do yourself a favor and dine here, and if you aren't ready for the evening to end, there's plenty of after dinner options just a couple miles away in the "Downtown Shawnee" area. You can count all the "greats" in my review if you'd like so I'll add amazingly incredible and fantastic.

We had a great date night at the castle. The owners stopped by and talked with us to explain the history of the property which was the highlight of our meal. Scallops were top tier, and steak was cooked exceptionally, just a funny char taste which is the only reason for 4 stars.

The Wandering Vine is a delightful escape from the ordinary where you get it all... exquisite chef-prepared dishes, wine from around the world, hand-crafted libations and warm, personable service, all in the unique setting of a distinguished little stone castle. It is definitely one of my favorite happy places !

Absolutely FANTASTIC, clear sound separators between most tables allowed for less noisy, more enjoyable experience! 100 wines BY THE GLASS, featuring some of the greatest growing regions of the world. All four of us at our table LOVED our dinners, very rare at most restaurants. And the one-of-a-kind castle stone wall ambience paired with wood stained plantation shutters and 30+ foot ceilings underscored very unique "rustic elegance". We will be back!

Food was good but not for the price point. Went for anniversary and though that was shared, didn’t get anything to “celebrate” like other patrons. Lovely castle with lots of history.

We were greeted as we entered, seated immediately. Our server Sophia had an excellent grasp of the wine list and recommended an excellent Reisieling. The meal was excellent as well. My wife is pescitarian, we both struggled to decide what to order. We chose a few small plates and loved them. We will be back soon

Outstanding menu, food, service and wine. Will return! I had seared foie gras and duck breast. Yum and yum! My friend had mussels and scallops. All prepared wonderfully, deliciously, and with tasty originality.

The Wandering Vine is a go-to favorite for anyone looking to have a special night out or just spoil yourself a little...you're worth it! The ambiance is warm, inviting and uniquely "castle." The food is always superb with an interesting twist in flavor and/or presentation. We loved the brie appetizer, baked ricotta and beet salad! Added bonus was enjoying the live guitar on a Wed. night.

This is my favorite restaurant in all of Kansas City. Wonderful ambience, the food is excellent (I had the biscuits and gravy), and the service is top-notch. The owners are very friendly and appreciate every table. I can’t speak highly enough for this superb restaurant!. I have been here many times and will be back for many more.

We had a delightful seasonally inspired lunch in the outside Garden on a wonderful fall day. The warm roasted apricot baked brie was just right to start off our lunch. The roasted apple and squash salad was enjoyed by two of four dinners and was very well received. Three different wine flights for four diners were ordered allowing a wide range of tastes to be sampled. Two of the diners saved their favorite wine portion to enjoy with the salad meals. The apple crisp for "two" gave ample portions for dessert for four.

Ambience, service , wine list very good. My hanger steak very tough, returned for scallop entree but brussel sprouts that accompanyed it were inedible. My wife's scallops entree were not as good as we have had elsewhere and brussel sprouts were the same as mine. Table next to us had similar problems, sending an entree back. Noted with owner but any concern was not forthcoming.
