we had a very patient server since our group came in dots and dashes! I had told them the food was great,they deffinetly agreed with me!
As usual, excellent food and service! That's why we keep going back!

Overall food was good, except Creme Brûlée French toast just tasted like regular French toast and breakfast potatoes were hard. Service was slow.

It was a bust from the start. It took ten minutes to get a drink order. The wine had stuff floating in it (not cork) to which the bartender came over and said the bottles just come that way sometimes. Meals were not served together and the tuna steak was grey... it looked like it had been sitting out for weeks. Really not the place you want to bring business associates for a casual dinner. Very disappointing because it’s one of those places that looks good on paper.

The empty appetizer plate was still on the table at the end of the meal. Someone cleared the empty table next to us before anyone finally picked up an empty dish off of our table. When she finally came with a tea and water refill the ice was melted in the pitcher. My meal was cold and tasteless (fish tacos) my sisters meal was tasteless (eggs Benedict) and the hollandaise was runny and looked like milk and not a velvety sauce as it should be. Plus was not very hot when she received the meal. The service was not good, server had no personality, did not make us feel welcome. I did not say anything about the meal, because I didnt want to disrupt my lunch experience with my family, which was much more important to me. This is the second time I ate there. And the first experience was not much better than this experience.

My husband and I visited on 2/15 for the first time for my birthday dinner. The food was excellent; however, we weren’t sure if our server was overwhelmed with “how busy” they were or if she was just having an off night. She didn’t ask what we wanted to drink (just assumed we wanted water) and when I discovered my glass had a huge crack in it, it took her about 20 minutes to replace it and I even had to ask for that. We will be back based on the food but hoping for a better experience with service overall.

The service was pretty good with it being a Valentine’s Day dinner. The portion sizes were very small and they charged too much for the sizes. Otherwise i enjoyed it and would recommend

It was Valentine’s Day. I believe they overbooked themselves. Our waitress was very overwhelmed. We felt overlooked. After ordering drinks and food it took over 15 mines to get our drinks. Had to ask several times for bread. Got our salad and soup and waited and waited. Asked the waitress to check on our dinner and she brought out another order of salad and soup! She was clueless that we already had empty dishes on our table. My husband ordered lobster ravioli and he noticed when eating that half of it was pumpkin ravioli. We spoke to the manager and he took care of half the bill. Food was delicious tho.

Started off questionable as we were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time. Understandably it was Valentine's day, but not an excuse. It was quickly reevaluated by our great service and good food. Our particular booth had a pleasant ambiance. Would return and would recommend to others.

This was a reserved Valentine’s Day dinner with my wife. We go to the Ofallon MO location a lot. This experience was at the subset hills MO location. The waitress was horrible and not experienced as well as others in the area. It was obvious that they were tired as several stated that as they walked by. There was one manager and she was obviously over whelmed with the amount of guests. We arrived early, went to the bar (really nice and quick service) and then waited 35 min passed our reservation time to get seated. The booth was comfortable but the LIGHTING was so bright, you could do surgery.. the table clothes were white too and reflected the light. This gave us and other guests an immediate headache. ZERO ambiance as it was too freaking bright. I asked the manager if they could dim the lights, she said she would try and did dim them to about a 3pm no cloud day...you still needed sunglasses. I ordered a salad and waited for 25min for my dressing to arrive. No one really cared. 27 min for wine for my wife and the waitress came by twice stating”let me check on that” which we also asked for water and bread.. never received bread but we did flag down another girl and she got us water in about 30 seconds. Food was good, but you could tell it sat under the heat lamp for a bit. I ordered the filet and it was by far the smallest steak ever for $31. My wife hade the medallions special and the asparagus was cold. Overall this experience was a 3/10. Usually we have great service. I would also stare that many other guests felt the same way about the evening. As the lights slightly dimmed the guy behind us was asking if he just had a stroke as the lights flickered. YOU are better than this Walnut Grill.

My wife and I went for Valentines Day and expected that the restaurant would be crowed and slower than a typical night. We waited 20 minutes past our reservation time for our table to be ready. Once we were seated, I had to ask twice for the drink menu and despite ordering at the same time, my wife received her glass of wine 20 minutes before my beer. We received no bread like all other tables around us, and had to ask another server. Not once during our meal did our waitress stop by to check on us or refill our drinks, not even water. We were entirely ignored. When she finally returned, she already had our check and we felt like we were being shooed out of the restaurant. I was done eating and my wife requested a box for leftovers. We waited another 15 minutes for the waitress to return to collect my credit card and forgot the to-go box, which was no longer needed since my wife finished her dinner. I completely understand being busy on a holiday evening, but even just one or two check-ups on the table or asking another, free server to check, is not a big ask. Overall, the food was decent, but overpriced. The service was terrible, and some of the worst we've ever experienced.

We had Valentines day reservations for 7pm. We arrived at 6:55. We were seated at 7:20. Server told us she was very overwhelmed and apologized often all through dinner. 20 minutes after ordering our entrees, our server told us they were out of one of the items we ordered, she took a replacement order and we waited an additional 30 minutes for our dinner. The server told us that the manager said we get a free dessert for the wait. After dinner we asked for the chocolate cake and 15 minutes after we ordered it our server told us she forgot to ring it in and she apologized again. We asked her for the bill and when she brought it we were charged for our bill and the dish they were out of and the chocolate cake that was offered to us for free that we still haven't received. We told our server and she fixed it. We reminded her again about the chocolate cake and we waited another 10 minutes for it. The whole experience was 2 1/2 hours long. I'm not the type to complain, and I'm not mad, im sure it was a crazy busy holiday. But I would want to know if someone experienced this at my restaurant.

They were a little overwhelmed for Valentine’s Day. Got to our table 30 minutes after our reservation. My wife had the meat balls, very good. I had the Yankee pot roast. Very dry, tough, and tasteless. I sent it back. First thing the server asked “was it dry?”so I guess they were aware

We went during Valentine’s Day had reservations was seated within 10 minutes of our reservation.. Service was slow took to long to get drinks. Ordered food started with an appetizer and it never came our food showed up 30 minutes later and was cold had to send it back. Server was nice about it but the dish was 27.00 and 24.00 so no way I was eating cold food... they did bring out appetizers and within 5 minutes our meals came back out and everything was hot... asked for refills on drinks never got... So I would not recommend it

Made a reservation for Valentine’s Day and it took 15 minutes before a waiter even came to our table and another 10 to get our drinks. The waiter came over and didn’t even say his name and just asked what we wanted to drink. We walked out after 25 minutes without even taking our order. They had one guy waiting in the whole reserved room. Bad service for such highly-priced food.

We enjoyed our dinner at Walnut Grill. We sat in the bar area and the service was great. The food was very good and plenty of it and the prices are good. It was a fun atmosphere.
Had been there before for breakfast and lunch but this was our first dinner and we will go again.

Everything was better than expected. We had a reservation of 4 change to a party of 7 and they adjusted without a hitch. Had a great table away from, but access to the bar tvs. Service from Natalie was very good. All food orders were correct and satisfactory. Reasonably priced. All in all a very good experience. Great family spot and a good variety on the menu. We will definitely come back

Ordered the country skillet. It was ham, eggs and potatoes. No peppers, onions or sausage as shown on menu. Very disappointing.

The food and service was typical of a Walnut Grill. Good food. Comfortable atmosphere. This particular date, we needed a reservation as we were taking out my 80 year old disabled aunt. On Open Table I made our reservation for 12:15 and put in a special request of a table, not a booth, away from the bar but not too far from the door as it’s difficult for my aunt to walk. We came in at 12:10 and there was a line out the door. However, our table was ready and waiting in the perfect spot for us. Sometimes special requests get overlooked at many restaurants but this important request was completely fulfilled and much appreciated.

Turkey Burger cane out unusually greasy. Almost like it was dipped in oil.
It was a good place to meet for dinner with my sisters. The food was good, and the service was good. Two of us had $15 off coupons, so that was great!
The food was fine. Service was sloppy. Waitress asked how our food was. We said it tasted fine but was cold. Her response: oh. Okay.

We were a party of 6 and were seated in an atrium type space with just a few other tables, away from the main bar. This made it feel like you were in someone's dining room, but dining with complete strangers very close to you. Our waiter was pleasant but service was slow and my pasta was only lukewarm. This location started out nice but has quickly turned into a disappointing experience.

Asked for a special occasion and what it was but nothing was done— not sure if anything should’ve been but just expected something since it was asked from your company. Waitress was not personal whatsoever. We were out celebrating an engagement with our family and all unhappy with the experience.

A very nice location for an important dinner. Very good service, decent prices, nice ambiance, very convenient parking. All in all, an excellent experience.
