Vora Restaurant European
Ryan was an incredible server and Chef Roger Cox came to visit with us at our table which capped off an already stellar experience!
Our food and service was fantastic!! I can't wait to do appetizers and drinks are their patio!
The food was not very good at all. I tool my wife there on our anniversary.. her steak was very under cooked and the sauce on her steak was not good at all. I ordered the schnitzel, the mushrooms sauce on top of it was way too sour.. the schnitzel was crispy like it was supposed to be but was bland and not seasoned.. we had reservations so we got right in but once seated and food was ordered it took forever to get our food. On top of the food not being very good it was cold. For what I paid I'm very disappointed. I do not know if I'd ever eat there again. The waitress was very friendly and good at her job. The chefs not so much...
Easter Sunday celebration.
Currently the best restaurant in Wichita. I'm new to town so I'll continue to look ...... but right now this is easily the best. Been to Chester's, Georges, Newport, etc. Even if I find something as good .... it's still a place I will frequently visit.
We celebrated our daughter's 16th birthday with family. Wonderful wait staff! Food was amazing and we had a wonderful time! Thank you.
We went with a couple we are dear friends with, we all had delicious food, great drinks and a nice time. Service was great, would certainly go again!
Just moved here from the West Palm Beach, FL area. We had so many great places to eat we were concerned that Wichita wouldn't live up to our expectations. Well, we found Vora this weekend. It was so good Friday we went back Saturday. From the food quality/preparation, service levels, attention to details and atmosphere you could drop this restaurant on the Island of Palm Beach just as it is and it would not only fit in there it would thrive. Extremely excited to have found Vora. It is certainly a "must try" on anyone's dining list that is visiting or living in Wichita.
Great food Great atmosphere. Best place to each in Wichita in my opinion
My birthday was extra special at Vora! Excellent food, amazing service. We will be back!
Great happy hour drinks and apps. Highly recommend the artichoke app. Rice was too wet and our server let us know before we ordered. Little loud, but expected for a busy Friday evening. Fun birthday firecracker in complementary ice cream that was delicious.
An Italian gem in Polish Hill. The chef offers an excellent muffuletta, a rare find in the middle of the country. It's a Multilayered sandwich with Sicilian roots but invented a century ago in New Orleans. This kind of invention is ketches by charming service and a good ambiance. Plenty of outdoor dining, too.
We had a great brunch, with great service and amazing food! :)
As always, the food and service was spot on but when you make a reservation, show up on time or early and wait 20-30 min for the table, it’s a bummer but worth the wait.
The food and service were done well. Good drinks as well.
Great food this visit. I had the orange roughy and my husband has the trout. Huge portions with vegetables and rice pilaf. Good wine list and I like that they have added the Coravin wine system for glasses of better wines. Even though they were extremely busy, our server was attentive and gave great service.
It was a Valentines Day dinner with my wife. i appreciate the rose given to her!
We found Vora through a google search and drove an hour there with a reservation so we could have a Valentines Day dinner. We arrived on time for our reservation and waited 45 minutes to be seated. With a reservation. When we asked the staff what was taking so long, they continued to tell us we would be seated soon. The food was great. Our waitress checked on all the tables around us except for ours on multiple occasions and the food took over an hour to arrive to the table. It was an interesting experience, just be prepared to wait quite a while if you plan on dining here.
It was Valentine's weekend and the Saturday evening service. The service was a bit slower than usual and the sides could have been hotter. However, considering the county had just relaxed the COVID restrictions allowing restaurants to have 75% capacity AND it was Valentine's weekend, they did pretty well ramping up after being limited for so long. We will return and I'm expecting they will be worthy of a 5 star rating across the board again.
Food was excellent. Our waiter, Chris, was even better!
The service we received was top notch. Our server was knowledgeable but not pushy and properly attentive. The manager stopped by to check in on us as well. The drinks prepared by the bartenders were perfection. The food was delicious at every bite.
It is hard to understand why the food wasn’t hot with less than 10 diners in the entire facility. The calamari appetizer was barely warm. The entrees from the brunch menu were also barely warm.
Staff was wonderful! Food was delicious!
The staff was amazing!
Another great meal at Vora! Had the cauliflower steak Provencal! Was fantastic! Not a vegetarian, but wanted to try it, I highly recommend it! The calamari in the parmesan bowl was my favorite as usual! Service was great, also as usual!
My mother and I dined for her birthday. We had a reservation and were seated right away. My mother ordered the half portion Italian salad and the Italian sausage pizza. She remarked at the generous portion of her salad and how tasty it was. She told me her pizza's crust was a little under done for her but still tasty.
I ordered the calamari appetizer which was delicious and the duck frites that comes with fries. I added broccolini to my entree. It did not come out with my meal but was out quickly once I reminded our server. Our server had asked what brought us out and I told her it was birthday celebration and at the end of our meal, she brought out a complimentary serving of fantastic vanilla Gelato with a sparkler burning brightly. Very nice experience overall.
Excellent service, good food, great atmosphere, price comparable with other restaurants in this category.
This was our 5th visit to Vora. Every other experience has been good. However, this visit was less than expected or experienced before. We waited almost an hour for our food, even though the restaurant was not busy. When the food did come out, several of us found our food to be "warm" and not hot. We hope this was an isolated experience, as we would hate for Vora to no longer be a restaurant we enjoy dining at. I would still recommend Vora, but if this experience happens again or to others, I don't think we would return or recommend.
Vora has become our go to weekend dinner spot. This past weekend we each had one of the dinner specials and were both very happy. The fish special was beautifully plated and tasted great, and my prime rib special was large enough for two people to share. Service was excellent as always, and the cocktails are a great way to start a meal. We will continue to go back, looking forward to being able dine outside again once the weather warms up. Aside from the specials the menu has a great variety of options for both food choice and price range.
Delicious! Great service and great atmosphere. One of our new favorites!
No social distancing was noticeable. We had people within a few feet of us on all sides but one and that’s because it was facing the wine room. Food was good but I won’t be back until after the pandemic.
This was our first time to Vora. It was very loud which was surprising to us. The staff was very nice and attentive.
The food was presented very nicely and my Osso Bucco was good but my husband's prime rib, although it looked great, was tough. The house salad dressing didn't have a lot of flavor and the salad croutons could break teeth.
For a young, preppy crowd, this is probably a great hang out.
We will try it again, maybe for lunch next time.
Bonnie was our server, she made recommendations, never let our cups empty, and was super friendly. We actually got engaged there that night and it was very special.
Very nice place! I have never had workers care so much about our experience at a restaurant before. They truly wanted us to enjoy their food and our time there. Would recommend to anyone wanting some higher end food and great service!
Excellent table service and pacing of courses. We never felt “rushed out” or neglected and were there nearly 2 relaxed hours on a busy night for them. All steaks and seafood were cooked well. This place is in our top 5 for a nice dinner in Wichita.
Exceptional service. Food was great.
Food was pretty good, had to season it after we received both of our dishes. It didn’t help we were in Europe last year and it didn’t live up to that memory. Would’ve been nice to have more wine by the glass option, the bottle we bought left a bit to be desired. Only other issue was the request for a booth was denied. When we sat down there were 3 open booths that were slowly all filled during the hour+ we were there.
Overall decent for Wichita. Highlight was the appetizer.
Appetizers and dinner were excellent. Restaurant was clean and we felt safe. Service was just plain poor. Cocktails took forever, dinner arrived immediately after our appetizers were served and the wine we ordered with dinner never arrived. Based on our experience, definitely not the place to go if you want to impress your dinner companions.
