We went there for Father’s Day and had a reservation for 5:30pm. They were already out of several items! My dad was really looking forward to the gumbo and our waitress said they’ve been out of it for hours! It’s one of their most popular dishes and on a busy holiday, you would assume they would have a generous supply. Very disappointing.

What a great place !! Classic New Orleans “voodoo” atmosphere. Romantic and gothic, this place delivers some of the very BEST food - service was excellent and atmosphere sealed the deal. We found our new favorite place to go for dinner or even a night out for drinks ! 5 out of 5 stars!

This is a beautiful restaurant and the food and service are excellent 5 stars all day, but it is on the pricier side and all tips are calculated into each bill at a minimum of 18%. Everything is fresh and the kitchen is open so you can see that it is clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond for an excellent experience.

The food was missing the soul associated with New Orleans cuisine. Kinda like institutional on flavors and hidden in overuse of their sauces. Vibe was great and service very efficient and friendly. Food needs to match the upscale pricing.

Went with friends for dinner - ordered a seafood meal with side of green beans and rice -food came and we both didn’t consume meat- server neglected to mention green beans had pork - sides were limited to choose from- got Mac n cheese. We were charged for Mac n cheese, even though we could not consume the side that came with our meal. Overall, food was under seasoned. Server was friendly and offered suggestions. Value was not equal for the experience and meal. Will not be revisiting.

The last three years we've had our anniversary dinner at Vodoo Bayou and every visit has been exceptional. The food is always outstanding and the service was great last night as well.

Everything about the experience was great, except the overall cost. I would not consider this meal a value proposition however great for special occasions.

We dined on a Sunday night. The place was about 3/4 full. We were able to sit in a rather secluded semi-circular booth, which was perfect for a date night. We ordered the Wood-fired Oysters, which were amazing. They have melted cheese on top. I'd never had cheese on an oyster before but I'm definitely having them again. Next, we shared the pear and pecan salad. They wouldn't split it for us in the kitchen but they gave us two plates and it was no big deal. For the entrée, we split the Jambalaya. It was delicious! Though not for you low-carbies out there. The waiter was great and so was the music. All in all, it was a great experience. I'll definitely return--especially for those oysters! :-)
