Great food, nice atmosphere, great service!
We took a chance on this restaurant and are so glad we did! The food was outstanding. It was flavorful and imaginative. I would definitely return. We are happy we took a chance on this one! I hope they are able to make through Covid.
The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. We had our dog with us and they treated her like a special guest. Our meals were amazing and our cocktails and wine paired perfectly with the entire experience. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Asheville!
We had a wonderful brunch on the patio! Every bite and sip was delicious! Hope to return soon!
Always a pleasure going here to eat! The food is amazing and the service is perfect!
We had Sunday brunch; lamb Benedict, eggs Florentine, quiche, shrimp kedgree, and the pan pancake for an appetizer. Each of us raved about our selections. The mimosas were large (not flutes) and only $6 each.
Ambiance, food, service, and cost equal a great brunch. My only regret was that, since we were visiting from Atlanta, we couldn't enjoy a dinner there.
We love Vivian and dinner this past Thursday night was fantastic as always!
Shannon has revised the wine list - I thought it was great before and now there are several new wines I'm excited to try!
We generally do the small or shared plates; this time we were both enticed by entrees and went in that direction - I had the Fruits de Mer - oh my Gosh! It really was so delicious - lots of shrimp, clams and mussels along with grouper 'meatballs' - served with wonderful crispy baguette and aioli - the broth was amazing! My partner had the grouper - beautifully done and served with veggie - he really enjoyed it. We shared a bread pudding - chocolate and so very good! I'm very partial to my mother's bread pudding and few come anywhere near matching hers - this one was right there!
Thanks as always for a great time!
everything was great, atmosphere, drinks, service etc. and it may have been just an off day for the chef because the dishes probably would have tasted great as they were original and thought out but all dishes, not just one were way to heavy on the salt. I mean loaded with salt which ruined any chance of the dishes tasting great.
The staff was very friendly. Food was good but didn’t warrant 4.5 stars.
Celebrated my 50th birthday with friends this weekend. Began our meal with the deviled eggs (win the prize for best item!), farmer’s cheese dip and oysters. Continued to be dazzled by the Fruits de Mer and Grouper for entrees - delicious! Even though we were stuffed - had to celebrate with banana cream pie with a candle. Each dish was prepared to perfection. Definitely a treat for my taste buds!!
Awesome! Love this place, Deviled eggs are so good for a starter!!
We had a great time! Food was excellent. Didn’t feel rushed.
A birthday dinner turned out wonderful . I would highly recommend. In a cool area as well.
It was one of the best meals, from start to finish. The drinks were unique and refreshing. The wait staff, friendly & attentive. When back in Asheville I am sure to visit again .
Fantastic service, food, cocktails, and wine. Glad we went off the beaten path to try this place. Heaters made outdoor dining cozy!
Our visit was great. We felt like we were dining pre-Covid. We sat outside under large heaters and were quite comfortable. The food was great. I had their fried chicken dinner and my wife had a rack of venison. The service was superb. We will definitely go back. Next time we might try to eat inside. Apparently they have a very effective air cleaning system, so it should be safe to eat inside. We have avoided eating out for months, so this was a real treat.
Fresh, flavorful servings...
The team at Vivian aways provides an amazing experience from start to finish!
We loved this French dinner! Excellent food, wine, service and Covid precautions. Highly recommend.
Good table separation and space heater use. All was great!
In town to visit my son and chose this spot for brunch. It was excellent!
As always, perfect! The food is exciting and everything tastes excellent.
Went for Sunday brunch.
Food is delicious and huge portions!!
Bloody Mary was great too, spicy but good!
Vivian is a gem in an artist's neighborhood in Asheville. The food was superb and eating outside was very comfortable due to propane heaters. I would highly recommend it. The grouper was wonderful!! Interesting wine list.
Very limited menu. The fish was chewy.
Took my parents here while they were in town. It was new for all of us. The food and service were outstanding! Can’t recommend the beef tartare highly enough. We will definitely be back!
We had a great time and the cocktails and food were stellar. Preparation of the dishes from grouper and chicken through to dessert was perfect. We so appreciate having this restaurant in our area doing what they do so well.
Nice overall, but over-salting of all proteins distracted. Rib-eye was rather thin, so could not deliver both crust and "medium" interior and thus it was served med-well and not seared as in a steak house. Sides were excellent.
Delicious, as always and spectacular service.
Vivian is one of our favorite restaurants because the food and service is consistently outstanding.
I was in town for the weekend and easily got a last minute reservation. I had a delicious meal of the beef tartare, the Wreck fish entree and the pumpkin cheesecake. I sat outside on the patio with heaters because it happened to be a cold evening. I was very comfortable with great, attentive service. Will definitely try again when I’m back in town.
Creative food and wine list. Fun place!
Our 41st Anniversary and we were treated so very well. From complimentary champagne starters to an excellent dinner (unexpectedly paid for by good friends) the evening was a delight!
Our favorite place in Asheville! Menu is constantly changing (good thing!) and we had the best venison we've ever had. Thursday Fried Chicken is a must. New air filtration system makes it safe! These guys are working really hard.
Fantasitc, yet again! We keep returning here for brunch and other meals because the service, the entire restaurant team, and the food are beyond compare! Simply the best!!
This restaurant is a true been...creative and delicious platings and warm friendly atmosphere. Our asheville fav!
Service was amazing, and while all the food was so tasty, the steak and apple almond tart was special. The owners were lovely, and we really enjoyed our whole meal!
The kitchen was backed up and took awhile before we got our food. However it was worth the wait. The food was outstanding!!!
Fabulous innovative cooking coupled with great service. Terrific restaurant!
