When my wife and I were seated the host said "follow me sir" and gave us one menu. It was as if my wife was not there and I was dining alone. Wait staff should be instructed to not touch their face and nose. Our order was wrong and the server acted as if my wife should just go ahead and eat while it took another 15+ minutes to get my dinner. Both meals were cold. The beef spedini was tough and stringy. Our waiter ignored us during most of the meal, rarely checking in for refills. Extremely disappointing evening.
We had the best server ever. Thanks Dan for the wonderful service.
We eat at Vito's before every Fox Theater show as we have season tickets. We always have great service and the food is always delicious!
It is a fun place to eat. I really enjoyed the pizza. My wife got a pasta dish but liked my pizza better so we shared our entrees. We would definitely order the brushetta appetizer again. All in all we would definitely go back again.
The food is always consistently good. The staff is friendly.
I love Vito's so much! Everything is delicious, and the bread is so amazing that I demand that anyone who doesn't want their pizza crusts must hand them over to me! (Family only lol) It's so nice to find a good restaurant which takes reservations so you know you won't spend an hour waiting for a table.
We didn't go. Enroute to the restaurant, I tried to call three times & could never reach a real person- only a recorder & the last time I was cut off. No way to leave a msge.
I tried to cancel through open table at 6 pm for a 6:15 pm reservation & it responded to me that it could not take a cancellation.
We eat all the time at Vito's in the Valley & are always pleased. Disappointed that it didn't work out at their other location.
We eat at Vito's often. Its a convenient place to eat if going to the Fox Theater. Only complaint, but not even a complaint...the seating is tight. Its a good way to get to know your neighboring diners!
Don, our server was very helpful and thoughtful
We have been here many times. However I last visit, the service was horrible. We did come after a matinee and did have reservations. However, they were rushing us out the door for the pre-theatre crowd. Very disappointing. Luckily our food was still good.
We had an excellent meal Very good service once we were seated; however, we had a reservation for 6:15 and didn't get seated until 6:30. Caused a little bit of a rush to make our theater start time. One of the best restaurants near Fabulous Fox.
The table, the food, the pace, and Jess(ie) the server were each superb! Special recognition for the pizzas!
The food and the service are always excellent. They are very accommodating whether it is the size of your group or preparing special meals for those with diet restrictions.
Perfect for dining before the symphony or any shows in the Grand Center. Food is delicious, reasonably priced. Service is excellent. We've chosen Vito's many times.
Great salad and pizza; great service too. our waitress was excellent.
We had great service and delicious food! Sangria was real nice and the 4 cheese pizza was excellant...perfect crust!
Atmosphere was nice, service good, most dishes were very salty.
3rd time here and the service and food is always awesome!!! i been trying to pizza on the other visit but tried to spag and meatballs which was wonderful.....nice place to dine before a show at the chafeitz arena
Food and service was amazing! Only down fall was the tables being so close together.
It was an excellent dinner, friendly, good food, nice wine selection,
Food was very good with excellent service. Espresso martini was a good way to finish a great meal. Wonderful place to go before going to performance at Powell Hall.
Always enjoy it and recommend Vito's all the time and everyone loves it.
Went for dinner before a billiken game. Good casual food and good service. We would recommend to friends.
We always eat at Vito's when we're in the STL area. For this visit we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had dinner here the night before. Food is always wonderful and the environment is nice.
My daughter and i love to visit Vito's before going to the Fox Theater. Convenient, excellent and quick food preparation, responsive staff, great bread. Enjoyable all around.
If you're in the mood for classic Southern Italian cuisine from grandmother's kitchen, then Vito's s the place in St. Louis. Friendly staff, casual atmosphere good value for the money the classic here are very well received; lasagna, spaghetti, raviolas are all made on-site and taste great! I would recommend to all who love a red-sauced based dining experience!
Had dinner with an older friend at Vito's a few days ago. I chose the restaurant because I've passed it several times during my daily walks and have wanted to try the food there. Read the dinner menu online and decided there was enough variety for the 3 of us to chose from. We were not disappointed. We all had ravioli for dinner and I was please with my sampler choice which had three different ravioli in 3 different sauces. Really quite good.
Wait staff was efficient, informing us of the dinner special and describing our ravioli accurately.
Very quiet there and not crowded at all, but then again it was a mid-week day and early evening.
My wife and I do plan on returning and trying other menu items.
Loads of metered parking in the area and meters stop having to be fed at 7PM.
Restaurant does have a 10 car parking area which we didn't even check because of all the street parking that was available
All in all a pleasant dining experience.
Always a good place for Italian food. You don't have to go to the Hill for great pizza and pasta!
The lobster ravioli was delicious would definitely recommend. My husband got the beef spedini and he said the beef was rather tough. Otherwise I would recommend for a casual night out
Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed even though I had an Open Table reservation. I've been there before and it is very good. Their hours of operations need to be updated on the app.
We were all in the neighborhood and hungry. Drove by Vito's and checked it out in Open Table.
Arrived and they were ready for us. Narrowed my selection to two items and asked the waiter to be the tiebreaker. In short, the best tortellini in St. Louis and maybe the best ice had in 20 years. It's that good. They should offer only tortellini and double the price. That good.
Servers were very friendly and attentive. The place was busy so they tag-teamed us most of the time. Great value too. We will be back for sure.
What happened? I go to Vito's very often. Whether before the Fox or a concert, or just because I want a good pizza. Went there Saturday night, via Open Table reservation. No problem. Got seated and from there it went sideways. Ariel was our waitress. She was nice a vibrant and full of energy. She took our order, which was basically 3 salads and a flat bread. FIFTY MINUTES LATER, we still didn't have our food. Every table around us had arrived, ordered, been served and ate before we received our SALADS! We said to forget the flat bread pizza. Ariel apologized and didn't charge us for a round a drinks. Luckily we didn't have any time issues, or it would have been a much different outcome. I LOVE Vito's and will continue to support and recommend it. However, last Saturday was truly a tragic experience.
We always enjoy a pre-show dinner at Vito's! The service, ambiance and quality of the food are outstanding and we know we won't be late for the performance! Highly recommend!
Get there before a show ,a concert, a ballgame or whatever but get there.
This dinner will be remembered for many Father's Days to come, but not for good reasons. Short staffed, took 20 minutes to get water, couldn't have alcohol because license was renewed, not all food was served at our table at once and there were only 5 of us. Very disappointing night.
Our only disappointment was that a problem with their liquor license prevented them from selling adult beverages.
We came to Vito's before a concert and it also happened to be my birthday (I made note of both occasions in the reservation). Made a 6:00 reservation and I called to say we were running late. We got there at 6:10 and attempted to check in. We checked in with a waiter who told us it would be 5 minutes. After that time was up, I tried checking in again, with what appeared to be a manager (no designated host on duty that evening) who said they were getting a table ready. We didn't sit until about 6:30 and the place looked chaotic. Our food and drinks were there in a timely fashion and the food didn't disappoint which is what saved the evening.
They were busy when we showed up, but we were seated in a reasonable amount of time and our server, Amanda, who was really on the move, took great care of us, in spite of a packed house. We have been to Vito's before, and we'll keep coming back.
Heading an event the area and pleased with Vito's. Patio looks great.
This was my third visit. Due to tables being close together it is a noisier restaurant. I've been with my husband and a group prior. I like that it's close to the Fox and that's when I visit. The food and service had always been great. It took forever for our waiter to come, the bread came just before our meal, and they were out of the wine I wanted. I'm chalking it to just a bad vist and will try again.
