   Another fabulous night at Vista Vino. We had such a good time during our last celebration, that we wanted to celebrate another birthday here. Michael was our waiter again, providing excellent service and great suggestions for dinner. The restaurant was bright with the evening sun. We started off with Calamari and Crispy Ravioli with a fabulous basil chimichurri. Dan had added a few new dishes that Michael recommended - Pan Seared Barramundi with parsley risotto, grilled asparagus, brown butter sage sauce. The dish was prepared with care and delicious. Chianti Braised Short Rib was our other dish which satisfied our palates many times over. For dessert, Chocolate Crème Brûlée with Frangelico. And of course, we could not leave without a satisfying taste of their famous Limoncello.

   We’ve tried most of the date night places in Castle Rock. The food here is the very best I’ve tried since moving here 3 years ago—certainly the best and most authentic Italian. It reminded me of Italy. The service was excellent! Our waitress knew the menu, was not hurried and was so pleasant. The food plus the service is why we will be returning again.

   We hadn't known that there are new owners, so that explains why there were only 3-4 tables occupied at 6:30 PM. Recent reviews expressed that the whole experience was not up to the former standard. Michelle was our server, and she's been there for a long time. She's absolutely the best! Prices are high for what you get...some pasta with cherry tomatoes for $24 seemed out of touch for such a simple dish. The phone number has changed, so trying to make a call to the restaurant gets you nowhere.

   Our service, appetizers, and drinks were exactly how we would imagine. My wife’s steak had no flavor and over cooked and my veal was not tender. Understand the new owner is also the chef and is figuring it out. Not worth the money we spent when we could have gone to Eddie V’s for $200.

   Really loud, tables were very close together. Was not a fan of my entree, a single $50 short rib that was dried out, on a huge pile of mashed potatoes. The caesar salad was good, large portion for a starter salad. Appetizers were nothing special. Waitress was very attentive. In my opinion it was overpriced. Disappointed

We're a small place, when it fills up with diners it can get a little loud. I'm very sorry that this ruined your experience, if you come in earlier in the week the environment is generally a bit more toned down.    We won’t be back. Decided to give the new chef and menu a try. So many things were not up to the standard of the price point. I was hoping we could add this restaurant back into our rotation but we won’t.

   Amazing food and service! Great wine specials on wine Thursday bottles are half price! They always have eclectic menu options . Everything is made in house including all the bread and desserts. Great local gem!

   Very good food we had calamari which was great and we each had awesome pasta dishes. To full for dessert but I’m sure that would have been great as well!

    We had a wonderful experience dining here for my Mom’s birthday. We had the baked feta, Caesar wedge, lobster ravioli, and bison bolognese and every bite was incredible. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and a great wine list! Bonus that we went on Thursday and they had a wine special going, so we upgraded to one of our favorite Chardonnays- Cakebread. Thank you for a lovely evening! We hope to be back very soon.
