Vis a Vis Wine + Charcuterie Bar, located in Victoria, British Columbia is a trendy, casual restaurant and bar. The salmon was disappointing- served on a mash which was bland. The lemon caper sauce was not very tasteful

We found this small, quaint restaurant quite by chance. We enjoyed the warm cozy ambiance, the food was excellent and the service was stellar. Highly recommend the Vis-a-Vis

The food we ordered was atrocious... We had "ratatouille" which was virtually rawish tomatoes with few eggplants smothered in katchupy sauce. To be clear we know how is this dish suppose to taste and how it is suppose to be cooked, but what was served was beyond awful and nothing at all related to ratatouille!! All the other lunch offers were basically burgers This place is also quite overpriced, , so all in all do yourself a favor and skip it.

We were celebrating a family milestone birthday and couldn’t have been happier with our evening. The food and drinks were outstanding, the service was impeccable and the ambiance was perfect. Thank you! We’ll be back!

Extremely loud, indifferent service - we refilled our own wine glasses, not much water offered and we ran out, food tasted just mediocre but was prettily presented. Ease up on the salt and let the real flavour of the food shine through. Expensive for what you got - one side veg, not much in the way of sauces or reductions (the hallmark of French food). Great wine list. They need to work on the acoustics, as with most Canadian restaurants. Guests seated next to us were extremely loud and the noise overall was piercing. No need to have music at such high volume in an already noisy environment. No hair cover on the guys preparing the appetizers - perhaps it’s not required in BC. If you are aiming for a French restaurant vibe it needs to be better. I lived in France (studying cuisine) and this place is just not capturing the feel of a true French eatery.

Service was poor. Took 1.5 hrs to get our food. 5 roses in wine list. Only one in stock. All of the food was like warm when it arrived. Vegetables were undercooked. Lamb was ordered med rare. Arrived med cooked. Very disappointing. Would not return. Update Vis a Vis manger did respond and was very apologetic regarding the service and meals we received. We will be visiting the restaurant again on our next return and submitting a new review. Happy with the mangers response. Looking forward to enjoying a much better experience when we return.
