We love Viron Rondo Osteria. The food, atmosphere and service are excellent. My favorite is the Tuscana Salad with Salmon. I absolutely love the outdoor dining areas. I only wish we lived closer because we would go every week.
Food delicious. Owner rushing to seat people. Doesn’t greet you just throws menus in table & rushes off. Lively atmosphere. Beautiful decorations.
We had to wait, at the door, about 20 minutes to be seated for our reservation. The food was amazing though and worth the wait!
We had reservations for 6:30pm and arrived on time. The lobby was packed with people waiting for a table. We were told we would have to wait 30 minutes. We waited one hour before we were seated next to the lobby and the very loud bar. The food was very good but I don’t understand why they take obviously over book their restaurant.
We requested dining area in our reservation but we’re seated at the bar. I’m nine months pregnant and struggled to fit over the squeezed in table they seated us at which was placed right in front of the patio doors. We were freezing the entire time and our food got cold quickly from the draft through the door. This was our first time there and our last outing before baby comes and we were a bit disappointed. It was supposed to be a special dinner and didn’t feel like it at all.
First of all I’m not a complainer, but this was a bit over the edge, Covid or not!! I’m not a COVID nut, I just traveled to the Caribbean and Europe for the months of Oct and Dec, and had not experienced a dining situation like this one! No common sense!
We arrived for a 7:15 reservation, opened the front door to go in there were at least if not more than 50 people waiting to be seated!! Extremely crowded. I told Maître d’ we had 7:15 reso, she told me they were at lease 25 minutes behind. So we thought we’d stay. But as time continue more and more people keep coming! The servers with food in hand had to weave in and out (with about 2” clearance) of the patrons to get to the tables they were serving. Hmm! Do I want to eat food that just past at least 25 people breathing masklessly on my food in very tight quarters! The photos on line showed a spaced out dining area, a roomy bar, not so. The bar was at lease 10 people deep trying to get a drink the the dinning tables had people standing around the watching people eat. We decided to leave. It felt extremely unsanitary.
But the sad part was the food looked delicious, but management seemed to be more on the take, than concerned with their patrons safety. That was our first visit and I brought another couple to try it out with us! So disappointed.
Perfect venue for a party or just a quiet evening out with the wife or maybe sit at the bar with a buddy. The prices are moderate + and the service is fast and impeccable. I got to meet the owner Viron, such a gentleman. The salad and steak entrée I had were very generous portions unfortunately no room left for desert. The ambiance of the venue is only exceeded by the courtesy and attention to detail by his staff. I have been here a couple of time and I am ready to plan my next visit. Five Stars! Thank you Viron for the superb dining experience.
Even in the middle of the day at an off-peak time of the week .... Viron's is always hopping. Food was delicious as always. Have to give a huge shout-out to Sam, our server, who took terrific care of us. She went above and beyond in her professionalism, hard work, charming personality and pride in her job. She made recommendations, was thoughtful and pleasant, and never made us feel rushed. In fact, we lingered much longer than we should have because it was just so nice to be out and feel relaxed for a little while!
Wait staff is shorthanded but understandable. We had a waiter that had a number of tables but seemed that he concentrated more on the table of 8 than our table of 4. Our drinks were coming out slow and a few came wrong. Food was delicious and portions were amazing. All in all we had a good time.
Ordered Steak, Medium Well. 1st try, steak was served rare. 2nd try, steak was medium rare. By that time, my entire party was finished with their meals. So I instructed waiter to take it away and don’t bother a 3rd try. Waiter offered no apology. I was simply offered “…to take the steak off the bill”. The steak they couldn’t cook correctly and I didn’t take one bite. SMH
Went in for apps and drinks, and was asked to leave because we weren’t having dinner.

We LOVE Viron Rondo. Second time there in less than a month because it is SO AWESOME! Feels like a Manhattan restaurant right here in little ole Cheshire. Great service, delicious food, and an actual eating "experience" rather than the usual humdrum chain. You're gonna love it, too!
Food was excellent and the restaurant was great. However, there are so many staff constantly speeding past the table. Very hectic and very loud. Plus, we got our salad immediately, and within 5 minutes of getting the salad they brought out the entire. Very rushed.
The service was incredibly quick. The food was very good.
We had Abby as a server. She was new, but you would never have known it if she didn't say so. She was WONDERFUL. I was celebrating my nieces 21st birthday.
Abby was so attentive, great attitude! I hope anyone going there will ask for her. Of course like everyone else the restaurant was short staffed. When she came to our table it was as if we were the only guests there.
As always, the food was delicious. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.
Always a wonderful experience
It had been about 5 years since we visited last and were surprised with the new and large addition that we and most diners were seated. We got there at 5:00!for our reservation and there were a handful of tables with customers and we were comfortable with Covid spacing. By 6:30 however the room was nearly full with customers, an amazement for a Monday evening. We celebrated my 66th birthday a wonderful meal, some great wines and a very large cannoli that we shared. A great meal and experience!!
Food was all very good. Nice private table and social distancing. Waiter couldn’t seem to focus on us though, causing multiple delays and also had no idea how to open a bottle of wine. It was awkward to watch. 😕🤷♂️
Service again magnificent not rushed always checking on us.
We had 7:15 reservations and were not seated until 8:10 and when we were seated by the owner of the restaurant, he didn't apologize for the wait and when my wife voiced her frustration at being seated almost an hour after our reservations, he still didn't apologize.
Definitely make a reservation but you still will wait 30-45 minutes before seated. They overbook but the food is incredible
Restaurant is far too overcrowded and very loud. This makes for an unpleasant experience. They grossly overbook reservations, and even people with a reservation are forced to wait well beyond their reservation time. Food is average. Service is fair. Cocktails are inconsistent. Owner is very hardworking and consistently visible and helpful, however.
When we gave the hostess our name and reservation time, she gave us menus and had us stand by the wall. We were quickly seated behind the reception desk... it was VERY loud and frantic. The door constantly opening letting cold air and smoke from the fire outside. Drink orders were taken, but appetizers came before 3 drinks. The bottle of wine came with only 1 glass, we had to ask for the other 3. Menu was just OK, not very inspiring. 3 of the 4 meals were very good. cocktail were excellent, and dessert was on the house. We were really looking forward to a nice experience since this was for a birthday celebration, but unfortunately, we don't need to return.

Usually we find the restaurant packed. It was pleasantly slower then normal. We were sat behind the bar very private and not noisy at all! Great waitstaff as always. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Great wine, great meal excellent service!

What an amazing experience! Impeccable service that was courteous and attentive. Each of the many courses were perfectly prepared and presented. The Negroni and the wines were of high quality and fairly priced. Ambiance and environment carefully created. Going back soon!
I’ve been to Viron Rondo a number of times. It is easily my favorite place to dine regularly. This was the first time I went on a date there and they did not disappoint. I told my date that the My Mothers Chips were a staple and I get them every time I go, after one bite they agreed they might be the best thing we had that night. We got two apps, wine and knowing the portions are huge we split the Chicken Marsala entree. Food was excellent, wine was divine and we both agreed we’d be back in the future.

The food and service at Viron Rondo Osteria was excellent. All of the meals that were ordered were served quickly and hot. We will return to this restaurant again.
We were told there was a 90 min limit per table by the waitress when we finished our meal. I was not aware of this when I booked the reservation. There were several empty tables when We left This should be on the booking page so people can decide whether or not they want to make the reservation. Especially on Nee Years Eve we didn’t wNt to be rushed. Our waitress cleared a dish with food still in it without asking if we were finished.
Excellent place to enjoy a night out, with great food, great service. I tell my family and friends to go there since I've been for the past few years.

I gave this an overall three stars due to a disturbance from the table behind us.
As VR considered the day to be a holiday, New Years Eve Day, the dinner menu was the offered menu at lunchtime. This did not sit well with three patrons, who had come from the bar area.
After questioning any staff that walked their way, they finally spoke with the Hostess, who also stated she was a assistant Manager. Suffice to say it didn’t go well, as both parties escalated into back and forth jabs.
While the would be dinners really needed to calm down about their denied menu choices (first world problem), the Hostess should have never, never sworn at them and display the same belligerent behavior as the dinners.
Cooler heads prevail.
Our server(s) we’re top notch and food excellent as always.
