The food is a good 4 stars, and the service is fantastic. The place is popular and had more people on a Friday night that what was safe under WA Covid guidelines. Really not safe for people over 60.

We enjoyed the chef’s tasting menu and it was delicious. Each course was a unique experience and Chef even joined us table side to serve and describe dishes. Staff was friendly and attentive. We will be back! A great date night experience.

Food was incredible. We did the tasting plate but were able to mention a few things we wanted (Fois Gras!) The owner came to speak with us for a bit and happy to see them still here after Covid. Lovely vibe and amazing food.

Unforgettable dining experience. Chef William and staff went out of their way to accommodate me as a vegetarian, seeking a multi-course Omakase meal. Much of the produce is locally sourced and has personal significance, which Chef will happily share the origins of with you. Wine pairings were on point. INCREDIBLE!!!

Went there for my husband’s birthday celebration. My kids had the Omakase menu as well and had lots of fun tasting the different dishes. Service is amazing, the place is super clean and they are taking all the necessary measures compliant with the state guidance. We will be back there!
It was a nice touch to have the owner come around and check in on us and also they gave us some bubbles since it seems they could see my birthday was coming up via Open Table profile.

We have been here only twice and really loved the food both times. The American omakase (tasting menu) was fun the first time. This time we did our own tasting menu by ordering multiple dishes a la carte. The service was wonderful (again). However, beware if you are in a high risk group for COVID-19! The servers do not mask. The tables are not arranged so that diners are 6 feet apart. It was empty the night we were there. (We were there when they opened basically, so it was early.) When another couple came for drinks, they were placed at the table next to us. Granted it was on the patio and probably the couple wanted to be on the patio as we did but just FYI.
Violet was divine - a quiet and tasteful atmosphere, delicious food, and spectacular service. We happened to run into the owner while dining - a super nice guy. Would highly recommend!

Fancy dining on the hill! Good food, decent ambiance. Overall I recommend this place. My only gripe is the restaurant should let diner know when they ask for a basic Manhattan (house liquor) that they'll be charged $40 per drink. This left a bad taste for me.

We enjoyed our dinner as a group. Octopus was great as appetizer. We ordered NY steak which was decent, but not great.
Small portions with a high price
The food was extremely good. The service was good overall but the entrees took a long time for a party of 3. Like almost an hour. Good thing the cocktails kept coming out quickly. We were celebrating a birthday and got some free champagne with our dessert
Violet was amazing. Every dish is so thoughtful and perfectly prepared. I thought the menu selection was excellent, small well curated choices. I wanted one of everything. We can’t wait to go back!
Had the American omakase tailored to our specific dietary constraints (pescatarian, non-dairy). William the chef conjured a dinner of five such dishes. The first and last were vegan, with three seafood dishes in the middle. All of them and their wine parings were near perfect. Violet will be a regular return experience!
My second time here and it was as great as the first. The menu is amazing and the specialties that Chef William gets and prepares are out of this world. This has very quickly become one of my favorite restaurants anywhere and anytime!

Best spot to impress out-of-towners! Our friends from SF loved this place. The Violet Martini cocktail is one of the best I've ever tried in my life and I'm not even a martini drinker. And then food-wise, anything on the menu will blown your mind.
It's sad more people don't come here. We've had several dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. You can tell the chef cares about the food. You can watch as he teaches a young protege how to nurture it. The short rib is delicious. We like the octopus and risotto as well. The chef's menu is great because of the subtle tastes that are woven throughout. Tonight was a refreshing citrus.
