Interesting menu choices
Great place to talk
Isaiah was AMAZING
A wonderful restaurant , tucked away in Ala Moana mall. Food and service were fantastic . We’ll definitely be back .
The food, wine and desserts were very good. Our server, Abraham, was very attentive and patient. Just a note to check your bill to make sure you are not being overcharged.
Had a great time to catch up with friends. Food service and attention to details were wonderful. Will go again.
The service was good. Staff are friendly.
A belated birthday lunch and we happened upon the anniversary special. What a treat. This is the best example of a pricey menu that is worth every penny. The restaurant is huge and the spacing of the tables is something you don’t see much these days. Room to breathe and space to not have to overhear your neighbor. The staff is always so nice and attentive. Today we had Abraham and Tina, who went above and beyond to make the dining experience the best it could be. Save room for desert. Every single course will leave you satisfied. Very, very satisfied.
diningroom host grant was nice to come by. food took alittle longer after salad and soup to come. all staff was friendly and attentive. nice place to eat.
Dined here for a weekday lunch with a party of 3.
warm and cozy, quiet, beautiful chandeliers and artwork. Feels like you are in an underground wine cellar.
Our server spoke pidgin and chewed gum our entire stay. We had to correct him both times when he repeated our lunch and dessert orders.
We shared 4 entrees between 3 adults. 20 minutes for our first pizza to arrive. 15 minutes wait between each entree served. The restaurant is less than 50% full, there’s ample staff, and wait time is ridiculous.
The salad in our lamb entree had hair in it - we were fine with keeping the lamb and simply requested an extra side of salad to another server (very reasonable request). Response was “oh......ok”. No immediate apologies.
Our final check total was incorrect, charged us $25 more. Our server transferred this issue to the management staff to print another receipt. 15 minutes later, i personally walked up to the front to question the status. “We are still working on it”. 5 minutes later, they apologized they do not know how to fix the system so removed some items off our check to alleviate the $25 difference. The check ended up being less than expected, and they gave us 3 coupons for complimentary wine on a future visit.
Ordered Chefs truffle pizza, Siciliana pizza, prosciutto aglio oglio pasta, and lamb entree. Presentation and taste is good. Highly recommend the lamb entree.
Desserts ordered were Lilikoi panna cotta, tiramisu, tiramisu parfait. The panna cotta is not Lilikoi - but has a drizzle of Lilikoi syrup. Generous gelato in the parfait.
The food is delicious. The service is poor. Our lunch took 2.5 hours (1 hour eating & 1.5 hour waiting). I recommend the food, but cannot recommend “dining” at vintage cave cafe.
We were graciously welcomed at the front and the wait staff was attentive. When the food arrived, it was better than expected. The French onion soup was delicious and even the simple salad of baby romaine lettuce was exceptional. The leaves were tender and the lettuce was so fresh and sweet. The fish was cooked perfectly and presentation was beautiful.
Special thanks to manager Grant Hamura. He made all guests at the restaurant feel welcomed and also entertained us with his charming personality. We would definitely make another visit in the near future.
Extremely my long wait for food!!! Probably because of 50% special that week but they should be more prepared. Nice service and good food.
CJ and Grant are the BEST!!!! Grant was able to order us a the Truffle pasta for lunch!!! Thank you so very much!!!
Service in the beginning of our dining experience started off with much attention and perfection.
The chicken pate was delicious but questioned the pairing of berries relish. The onion soup was delicious and both rack of lamb offered were succulent and so tasty.
And then, everything went downhill. We waited over 15 minutes for the dessert cart. Seems the server was too engrossed in conversation with another table. Then he and the cart disappeared. We looked for our waiter and found him engrossed at a machine. 10 minutes later my date walked up to him asking for our bill. We wanted dessert but decided it was getting late and preferred to leave. Our waiter did not give us our bill but decided to go to another table for their order. ‘WHAT’? We could not understand what was going on. We flagged down someone in a mismatched suit and voiced our complaints. He assured us he would inform the manager and got us our bill. Needless to say, our tip voiced our dismay, loud and clesr!
i had reservation and was greeted with a smile, seated promptly. we ordered from prix fixe menu with upgrades. soup was on the small size-warm temperature, tasted good; salad was sufficient-tasted ok; rack of lamb 3ribs-tasted good, needed a little more small potatoes; wagyu with mushroom marsala sauce-tasted wonderful, also could have had a few more potatoes. we both had affogato dessert which was good. my waiter was attentive and staff was good. it was nice the manager came by to say hello. we had great meal. thank you.
Roast Lamb was excellent - very tender. Service was excellent all around.
They took great care of us. The food was amazing.
Excellent service. Nice and quiet atmosphere. Food was good.
Enjoyable experience thanks to our server Kayla. The manger on duty came to our table to greet us and asked who was celebrating the birthday. Very unusual to have the manger greet, but, also checked on us latter.
Good service and meal was excellent. My wife it was the best lamb chops she has had in awhile. They also had live jazz music.
Would go back again.
Amazing food and spectacular service! Will definitely come back again :)
Decor seemed mishmashed. Bathroom dark like a real cave. It didn’t present itself as a high end restaurant. But food and service was very good.
If you want awesome service, great food, and a beautiful ambiance out of a restaurant, this is it! You would never know it looking from outside! What an elegant experience! The decor is very much Italian. The live dinner music very appropriate for the setting. Did I mention the awesome service?! A hidden gem that exudes a feeling of being quaint in a mall that can be very hectic! A must!
The food was great but the staff needs to be better trained. Uninformed in how to explain the dishes, they could also use a sommelier. The pacing of the service is also uneven. The entire dinner took 3 hours which is too long for just an appetizer, main and dessert.
Your waiters /staff need proper training on service , etiquette, cleanliness..
It's a really nice restaurant with good ambiance, your wait staff were running around. Running into each other, shirts are all out (messy looking) .. a lil chaotic . We tried to pay, but our waiter was waiting other table, and no other staff would help (could have picked up our check and helped the process faster or could've given it to our waiter )
Awesome, would highly recommend for food, themed atmosphere, classy, live music and service
Terrible service. Spent 2 hours at there. Food took 30-40 minutes interval for each dish to come out to the table (course menu). Wasn’t crowded at all too.
The evening started out okay. Water and bread was good. A few minutes later we started to notice the tables around us was waiting for a while for their appetizers/meal. The manager and staff would pass by to tell them sorry and an excuse for the delayed... which was not uncommon if the restaurant is full. But that is not the case, at 6:20PM there were multiple empty tables. Then by around 7:20 the wait staff started to bring food to the tables... which is great, except they were delivering them to the wrong tables. We noted this 4 times. In fact the table directly beside us had to call their waiter 3 times as his colleagues placed the wrong dish in their table that many times. The first time was actually funny (which they laughed) as they gave them desserts when they have not had their dinner. The next 2 wrong dish delivery, they were no longer laughing. For our table the long wait was not as bad as we were engaged in people watching and good conversation. After our meal and dessert I asked for the bill. To be honest, I was a bit trusting given that this is a classy restaurant, as I was told. I did not look at the bill and just gave my card. But while I was adding the tip I noticed the receipt stated table for 3 customer and a few of the dish was not ours (wrong bill for $287). So I gave my credit card and the wrong bill to our waited to correct... no big deal right, wrong. When he returned, he just handed me a credit card charge receipt $390.20 (no bill), and insisted that it is correct. I’m no mathematician, but I can add & I only expected my bill to be around $210 or so. Therefore I insisted on him giving me the bill, which when he returned he noted “oh so sorry I was wrong, that’s not your bill.” He then gave the correct bill for $216... which I paid + 15% tip. Well, by this time they charge my card a total of $677.20 more than what I owe... and it’s still pending on credit card statements. So to be honest, I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this over priced restaurant.
It was wonderful experience. 🐻
Upon entering the ambiance was spectacular! If you’ve ever visited Castello di Amorosa in Napa Valley, you’ll feel the familiarity. By far this is one of the most elegant restaurants in Hawaii! Great paintings on the wall and ceilings. There’s private booths for parties of 6-8 and one private table for larger parties. There’s a piano in front of the bar. We look forward to visiting one evening to hear some musicians playing during dinner! The chairs are comfortable and the restrooms have cloth towels for wiping your hands! No paper towels!
The service was impeccable! Our server was very attentive and provided much needed help in our food selection. My wife was impressed by their attention to detail and even wrote Happy Valentine’s on our dessert plate. Multiple people came out asking how was our food and if we needed anything.
Now the food. Delicious and interesting at the same time. For the lunch menu they give you 3 sets of 3 course meals to choose from. From a salad set to a pasta/pizza set to a chicken/steak set. There’s choices to upgrade for each course.
I had the Caesar Salad which was good but they didn’t cut the lettuce. Basically it was a half head of romaine lettuce with Parmesan on top and then the Caesar dressing had to be poured on. I’ve never had Caesar salad like that before (it normally comeas already cut and mixed). So now I’m thinking have I been eating Caesar salad the wrong way all this time?
The second course was the onion soup. DELICIOUS! Oh so good! Nothing else to say about that.
The main course for me was the Wagyu Steak. Also delicious! The sauce was great and it was cooked well. My wife had the Uni Pasta. She loved it though did say it was a little too rich for her.
The dessert was awesome as well. All in all the price was about right (though I’m sure dinner prices would be more expensive). Everything came together really well and will definitely bring people with us next time we come again!
I always use the private room as it’s ver quiet. It’s great for any occasions. Food and service is always great.
Very enjoyable meal. Food was really good and staff was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating of our needs and wants.
The service and aesthetics were outstanding. My wife ordered the jidori chicken and my daughter ordered the uni pasta. Both were awesome. I ordered the fresh fish opakapaka. It was over cooked. The dishes arrived very slowly and the portions were small, but the taste for all dishes was on point. I actually left the restaurant hungry. If I go back, I would order ala carte and not the pre fixe dinners. Expensive for very small portions.
Una Excelente velada.. la comida explendida, el servicio sumamente atento y muy buen ambiente. Recomendado el cordero.
Fantastic dinner and service!
2nd time here for lunch. Food was excellent. Service was top notch. Will be back again for sure
Live music is good, they sing a live birthday song to my wife. Waiter was friendly, food is OK, not super great.
Everything was fantastic! A bit pricey though.
It was a perfect meal and the perfect a great way to celebrate New Years before a concert. I’ve dined here several times and have never been disappointed.
Really loved everything about it from the private dining areas, the great authentic food (Caprese salad with burrata) and the music was great! We will be back!
It was a great afternoon with friends.
Vintage Cafe was a great experience! I went there for my friends’ birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The service was great, our waitress was awesome and they made her feel special!!!!
