We want to be able to cook food without guilt and this means, as with our winemakers, dealing directly with growers and producers. They understand how to make the most of seasonal produce, at the same time minimising the impact on our environment. We firmly believe our suppliers, whether it be the cheeky fifth generation butcher in Chipping Barnet, artisan Hampshire coffee roaster who we spent hours, wide-eyed, designing a blend with, the nearby Billingsgate fishermen, or mighty successful Greenwich-based brewer, care as much about provenance and taste as we do.
Our food - served in the Vinothec - is orchestrated by our Basque head chef, Idoia Guzman and her team who hark from all over the world. Her inspiration stems as much from London's truly international food culture as well as her native land. Delivered with flair, Idoia's plates are intended to be wine-friendly, being light, well-seasoned, depthful, textured and colourful.

The menu was interesting and the food was good. The place wasn't easy to find though. There is literally a 'wall' of wine to choose from, but there were tables set up very close to the wall which made browsing very difficult and awkward feeling. The waiter couldn't help advise on the wine which I felt was disappointing considering the name of the restaurant.

We are regulars here, don’t be put off by location, ignore the dull O2 chain food fare, head here. High quality food, excellent varied wine choice, set your budget and they will provide the options Our first port of call pre gig since being introduced three years ago

Don't be fooled by the website blurb and menu, this place is a complete disappointment. The restaurant wasn't that busy when we got there. One of the specials was a mussel starter, I asked the waiter what the sauce was and he told me it was oil, he couldn't tell me anymore about it!! So, I ordered a bruschetta and a peri peri chicken for main, my boyfriend ordered a salad and burger for main. The waiter did not ask him how he would like it done. The bruschetta was literally a bit of untoasted bread with some sliced tomatoes and a bit of ham it. No seasoning, garnish or anything. It really wasn't very nice at all. We finished out starter then had to wait 25 minutes for the main to come, this gave us ten minutes to eat our meal before we had to go to our booked bay. When the burger arrived it was raw in the middle, not rare, raw! So he had to end it back, the waiter gave us an empty box to take it to our bay in. We then had to wait another fifteen minutes for them to cook it. So we had to rebook our bay for half an hour later than we planned. All in all is t was a completely disappointing and expensive experience This restaurant is trying to hard to. Be something it is not. They should just offer something basic that they know how to cook, I didn't thin cooking a burger was that difficult!?

We traveled a long distance to eat here and were made to feel unwelcome straight away with having bought a Groupon voucher for a meal for 2. Was told the deal didn't exist anymore even though the voucher was still valid another month. Forced to have a public confrontation with the manager after being told the only option was to contact Groupon for a refund. Disgusting. If a company is not prepared to accept the loss leader's they arrange with Groupon don't agree to the promotion in the 1st place! Its not the customer's fault for purchasing a deal that's easily available online! Eventually received a meal but not before a lengthy public exchange! Also no response to complaint email sent direct to the company. Will not return. Only option is to leave deserved bad reviews.

This is a underated venue forna good meal. Very pleased that they opened the kitchen for last orders for us to watch the Champions league finish. The steak's are tasty. Truffle poenta chips are good, but one portion is enough. Octopus could have been more. Shame to see the evening finish as it did with a new flash. We shall return.

This is an excellent restaurant, on the "work in progress" that is the Greenwich Peninsula. Don't let the slightly post-apocalyptic surroundings of the Blackwall Tunnel approach road put you off. Once inside, there's a great view of the Canary Wharf skyline - viewed through the golf driving range in the foreground, it reminded me of Ridley Scott's film, "Black Rain". The food was obviously carefully thought out, we had the sirloin steak for two to share on the bone, with piquillo peppers, a beetroot and chicory salad, and very nice fries. The meat was quality: pink in the middle and seared on the outside as it should be, a la plancha in lovely, thick slices. Decent beer selection with both Meantime and Paulaner Dunkel on draft - and several bottled options. There's a huge wine list with nice recommendations based on your food choice. The service was friendly but not over-the-top. It's nice too that you can park right outside without any problems. And you can always burn off the calories by whacking some balls afterwards.
