Our group was disappointed in our experience at the Villagio. The restaurant itself was in a beautiful old house, but the food was average, and we found the service to be very disappointing. We were seated at 7:00, but did not receive our entrees until 8:30. When we noticed that a couple seated much later than us had already received our meal, our server told us that they were hit by the rush at 7:00. That still didn’t explain why our meal came out after the couple that had been seated later! At one point while waiting, the server came by to check on us, noticed my wine glass was empty, and told me she’d be right back with our wine bottle to top me off. She then disappeared for 10 minutes before returning! It was just a strange night where are group felt we were not getting the same attention as other diners from our server. We enjoyed a lot of fantastic meals during our Pinehurst visit, but this was unfortunately not one of them.

Our meal was lovely, the service was exceptional. Not sure if we’ll return as the elitist behavior of the table next to us has left a bad taste in my mouth. What awful manners to make audible disparaging remarks about other guests.

The four of us had an excellent Villagio experience. We frequent Villagios (at least once every 4 to 6 weeks) so its important to us that it maintains it high standards of quality and service. We were not disappointed. Service was just perfect. Food and wine tasted great. Ambiance always relaxing allowing us to chat with our friends and enjoy the evening. Thank you very much and keep up the good work!!!!

This is our go to restaurant every time we are in Pinehurst. The food and service is consistently beyond exceptional. If you have t given it a try yet, run, don’t walk, it make sure you have a reservation!

Last night my boyfriend and I ate at Villagio in Pinehurst. I had requested an intimate table for two and we had a wonderful spot by the window. It was pouring rain outside and it made the ambience that much more enjoyable! I had the Bolognese and he had the Carbonara. My boyfriend was a bit disappointed that his dish did not have the egg on top like traditional Carbonara. It was mixed in with the dish and he could not taste it. Their wine list is limited, which is the only negative.

A true “Fine Dining” experience in every respect. From the greeting and all throughout the experience the entire staff made us fee welcome and appreciated. We were celebrating an anniversary and will definitely go back for other special occasions. The meal was outstanding and I did not have sticker shock “at all” after the meal.

We all ordered different entrees & everyone was so pleased!!! The food was delicious & our service was outstanding We also really enjoyed the live entertainment on the patio by the couple from Durham. Wonderful musicians & the singer’s voice was outstanding Definitely recommend Villaggio Ristorante

There are many options for dinner in Pinehurst - and in Southern Pines too - but you cannot argue with convenience (Villaggio is a short walk from The Carolina) and the food is fantastic- the service is great and Sara at the bar is the best bartender in Pinehurst. Villaggio is my favorite place in Pinehurst!

Our first time here and it was such a great choice. The staff was very welcoming and gave great recommendations on the food and wine. From the appetizers to dessert everything was delicious! The tiramisu is the best I tasted! Would highly recommend if you want a nice meal or celebrate a special occasion.

Our meals were absolutely memorable. Pastas were fresh and delicate, sauces were excellent! I had a marinara with a little heat! Perfection! Panna Cotta and chocolate mousse just melted in the mouth!

The food was great. Four of us had the charcuterie board, shared salads, carbonara, ravioli, bolognese, lasagna, and shared tiramisu. The indoor temperature was a little warm inside because we were dressed for dinner, and it was hot outside. The service was good. We had to ask for ice water twice. We will definitely go back for another special occasion.

This is by far the best restaurant in the Pinehurst and Southern Pines area! The food is outstanding and of a very fine Italian cuisine. Surprisingly not exorbitantly expensive at all. The dining rooms are beautiful and the background music was very relaxing jazz, not loud but just right. The manager has done a beautiful job putting all the right elements together to make for a wonderful dining experience The cocktails and wine were just right for the season too. Dinner was amazing…I had the Frutti di Mare and my husband had the bronzino with risotto. The pasta was made from scratch and scrumptious and the risotto was fabulous. The fish and seafood were spectacular. Thank you to all the Villagio staff for making our evening so special.

Went for our anniversary and had a lovely table next to the garden/patio are outside. Very cheerful and knowledgeable server and bartender. Not too slow nor too fast through the service and attentive but not overly so. The piccata was divine!

Lovely environment, music and service. Food awesome and an excellent selection of wine. Food came out very quickly but don't mean in a hurry. Just right. Here's the only beef and it is across the Pinehurst resort.....if you order a cocktail it will be miniature and incredibly expensive to the point of offensive. I ordered an aperol spritz and it came in a very small cordial glass and was $15. This trend is resort wide. Of all the resort restaurants we ate at this was by far the best.

Excellent yummy with flexible chef. Jackie was great as well as greet staff. Check the chairs. My spring had popped. Also please institute a hat rule for men at dinner. If you can afford the experience you must have been raised with some semblance of manners. If you forgot them, the greeters should be charming but firm in the request before even being seated. We will be back.

There were three at our table and we all ordered different entrees to share. All three meals were delicious, elegantly presented and of adequate portions. Our server Kelly was informative, prompt and friendly. The desserts and bread were also scrumptious. The atmosphere, both inside and out, is charming. This was my first time there but it will not be my last. Thank you Villaggio staff for a most memorable evening.

In Southern Pines for a short stay and looking for Italian food. We had eaten here years ago upon staying at the Magnolia Inn. My dish of scallops, mussels, shrimp and calamari with pasta and cream sauce was phenomenal. Cocktails were excellent and service also. Will definitely be my go to for Italian in the Pinehurst area.

The waiter Kelly is always amazing and knows the menu upside and down ad is very professional, one of my guest sent her ravioli special back because it was not cooked properly and had to send it back a second time for the same reason. Then she decided she didn't want it because everyone had already ate. Desserts were amazing, Its to bad that management doesn't feel they should take the time to come to the table at the end of the meal and ask how everything was. They should want to know what the customers think at the time before leaving. It's a nice personal touch. For the most part you need to try it.

This is our third annual visit to Villaggio. The first time was just a lucky happenstance, where we were not sure where to have dinner that night. Since then we have been twice more, with reservations. Each time we have dined there, we were more than happy. The service is first-class, the menu items are varied and interesting, and prepared perfectly. This is one of our 'go-to' restaurants when we visit the Pinehurst area. Well done Villaggio! Kelly was amazing, she gave us some history about the house and made us feel welcome. The food was amazing and Kelly went out of her way to check with the chef about a mushroom risotto that was not on the menu. The mushroom risotto as a side dish was perfect. I had the chicken piccata…..perfect! Thanks to Kelly for making our experience a 10.
