Vigilucci's Trattoria Italiana

This is our go to restaurant. We love the food, the staff and the music!
Wonderful wait staff and great food. Large portions so had a delicious breakfast next morning.
Excellent service. The spaghetti and prime meatballs is awesome, and the gnocchi is so good I can’t ever order anything else! Very noisy but maybe because of the Restaurant Week crowd. We love it here.
We had a wonderful birthday lunch here. Jesse took good care of us at the bar and at the table. The appetizers were outstanding. The entrees for restaurant week were just okay. Overall, tho, it was a good value.
Very nice Restaurant Week menu. Each of our party of 4 had a different entree and all were very delicious.
Fabulous food and service. Highly recommend!
We had not been in years and were very disappointed. Dinner was pretty average for an expensive Italian menu. As an example I had a penne pasta that I added shrimp to. When I got my meal I thought they had forgotten to add the shrimp. I was expecting 3-4 normal size shrimp on top. What they had added were tiny shrimp that were the size of a large pea. I didn't even see them at first and only after close inspection could I find them. So overall if we were having an inexpensive pasta dinner this would have been fine but we paid fine dinning prices for family dinner pasta. The bright spot was our server, she was a sharp attentive young woman from Milan who did everything she could to make our experience enjoyable.
My husband and I had a great dining experience . We were greeted by a friendly young man giving us a choice of seating options. We had requested the main dining room with the music and he offered a short wait fir that table or to be seated immediately in another area. True to his word he gave us the table we requested in a short period of time. The food was delicious, ambiance lively without being too loud that we couldn’t hear our conversation. We will definitely return in the near future.
Villa Dining was awesome
Unfortunately the experience was awful, because the table next to ours had guest that were loud, rude, cheap and insulting. The mid fifties male made fun of the waiter, had the waiter removed and tried to get as much for free as he could. The entire two hours, for us, was painful! The night was ruined by cheap surfer trash that should have stayed home and ate for free. I spent $ 220 and would have enjoyed it more just throwing the money into the street. FYI, I frequent this place and always have the best of service around reasonable patrons, who are looking for the same thing I am.
The table in question should have been asked to leave, allowing everyone around them to enjoy New Year's eve.
The sea bass and risotto special, andthe cioppino were fantastic! The ambiance was warm and our waitress was excellent!
Absolutely great food and service. Every aspect of the dining experience was excellent. Thank you.
Busy night and they couldn’t keep up. I hate being seated in back room area. It’s too bad because food is good and I really want to like this place.
We have enjoyed Vigilucci's many times but our Christmas Eve experience was not as good as past visits. We had a reservation for 8pm and were immediately told the kitchen closed at 8pm so we would need to order quickly. I was surprised they would take a reservation for 8pm if the kitchen closed at the same time. The menu was also limited which was disappointing. I would recommend based on past experience, but not based on this visit.
Annual Christmas Eve Italian dinner
Put in an out of the way dinning area down stairs... disappointing...
Perfect afternoon spent celebrating my Dad’s birthday. Our server, Caitlyn, was great.
We had an early holiday celebration at Vigilucci's. The wait staff was professional and efficient. My husband enjoyed the sea bass very much. We also had pizza, pasta, and scallops. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The pianist was excellent, loved his music and voice. Overall we had a wonderful dining experience!! We will be back!!
I was a fan of Vigilucci’s”s Trattoria, but no longer. First, I don’t want to be put in the position that I have to ask for bread. Second, I don’t want to then be told, okay you can have some bread, but if you want more, bread, you will be charged $5. Really, when a dinner for 4 is going to cost $200 or more, I ‘m going to be charged $5 for a few more slices of bread?
We had a duel birthday celebration and a cancer celebration.
The room was quaint, but the table was a little small for all of us and 1 person didn’t make it.
The service was amazing and our waitress was on it for a busy night.
The food was delicious as usual. All the wine we picked was delicious also.
Awesome place- upscale but quaint- family friendly.
We loved Vigilucci's! They have authentic Italian food which is hard to find. The ravioli and the lasagna are a must to try. If you don't eat meat try their grilled vegetable plate. There is something for everyone! You have to save room for dessert...it's worth it :) The calzone with Nutella and berries are should be illegal. It's that good!! The atmosphere is warm and inviting especially with the holiday decorations.
Food outstanding and inventive beautifully presented
Was lively and high energy so some slowness in service and initial wine delivery
After was very attentive
However very noisy and difficult for an intimate conversation
Maitre’d was real “Italiano paisano”!
Fantastic seafood ravioli! Nice wine list. Great service
Great food; great service and caring staff. I had the Chicken Parmigiana entrée, which was fabulous. Also, the bartender the Robertini was a perfect martini! Great dinner!
Start to finish a fun and warming experience. Greeted immediately and made to feel welcome. Excellent waiter and service. Loved the ambiance of a piano player. Definitely will be coming back when in the area.
This is a great date night spot! Charming ambience, beautiful presentation, and Italian food that tastes straight from Italy.
as always, we had a fantastic dinner and enjoyed the music. excellent pasta, appetizers and desserts. great wine selection.
Love this place! Spectacular house made pastas and one of the most amazing ciopinnos on the planet! The service is always very good. Tonight, Carmella took very good care of us! A must when you’re in the neighborhood!
Great service, great ambiance and good music with the piano player! Awesome staff members!
Food does not live up to ambiance
Second time we requested a particular table, but not saved for us. Restaurant was not busy!
Great food and service!
And absolutely fantastic meal. Fantastic server. Great piano player. Had a wonderful evening.
We had a beautiful evening with background piano music. It was wonderful with amazing food! And great service!
The appetizer salad with the mozerela cheese ball is the best, and so was the fried calamari! For entries, we enjoyed the lasagna, pizza and creme brulee for desert. Paired with a nice pinot noir, the food was among the best we have ever had, and amazing service as well. This is definitely our new favorite Italian restaurant, and we cannot recommend it highly enough.
Maybe. We were there on a Monday date night, and ordered two date night specials and a pear salad, which we split. Our pear salad was good, but small for two and overpriced at $16.00. The house red wine offered with the special was fine.
However, the pasta on my wife's ravioli was "al dente," but the upper decorative parts were too thick and difficult to chew. They've changed the recipe since we were here last, when the pasta was flatter and thinner. The flavor was good, though, and the portion size adequate.
I had a filet on polenta with asparagus. Again, the flavor was good, but they were a little skimpy on the ingredients: probably 1/4 pound of the steak, at most; the polenta was good, but a smallish rectangle about 1/4" thick by 2" by about 6"; the baby asparagus was fine, but there could have been a bit more of it.
To sum it up, the food was tasty and fresh, with the negatives as noted. We felt it was a bit pricy.
The restaurant is beautiful. Interesting lighting, comfortable seating. Stunning glass pieces from Murano as authentic Italian decor. Attentive waitstaff. Delicious salads and appetizers. The burratta was fresh and creamy. The papparedelle with mushroom and scallops was fresh and well spiced. The salmon was a little dry and didn’t go well with the roasted potatoes, but still delicious. The live piano player was a highlight and made the whole experience even more special.
The food at best was sub-par. The staff was friendly and the general ambiance wasn't terrible, but the truffle oil pasta we ordered only tasted like truffle oil and nothing else. The lasagna wasn't too special either. Maybe one shouldn't visit during restaurant week.
