    Alex, our server, was excellent. Lobster linguini had lots of lobster but was $48 when I thought the menu said $35. Oh well, delicious. My wife had the cavatelli with wild mushrooms in an excellent sauce. Very pleasant seating in the terrace behind the restaurant.

    Loved the food & the staff but we did not enjoy the seating, we reserved for 7 people over a week before the event and when we got there 10 minutes prior to our meeting at 7:30 the only place available was top floor in a crowded room with over 50 kids young kids look like a sport event kind of group which was very loud luckily they left at around 8:30. We were originally seated along the window on the top floor but a table for six for seven people giving we're going to be spending $1,000 or more we required a table where seven people can be seated properly and comfortably.

    Thank you! It was a beautiful experience and on my girlfriend’s 50th Birthday 🎉 The cavatelli were amazing and the steak were perfectly cooked!

    The calamari was not good, tasted stale.. (as if it was made before hand then re-warmed and served). I also stated before we ordered that there’s a nut allergy for my husband…then I get a dirty martini with olives that are stuffed with almonds.. after stating there’s a nut allergy. For my main, I asked to switch the mash to a fully dressed baked potato. I ended up getting served the regular plain baked potato. After bringing it to the server’s attention, they switched it for what I ordered. I then ended up with a cold fully dressed potato with a clump of cheese that wouldn’t even melt. Overall, wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. The waiter was nice but it was definitely not worth the price. You’re better off going to the Keg for a proper steak and sides.

    Du steak comme il s’en fait rarement - goûteux et interprété à la perfection. Le service est rapide , attentif et très charmant (pas de problème de manque de personnel). Une belle carte de vin d’importation privé mais limité.

    My wife and I are in Montreal as part of a recreation of our honeymoon 40 years ago (Nova Scotia, Montreal, Quebec). We wanted one more upscale meal while in Montreal and Vieux Port Steakhouse did not disappoint. We were welcomed at the host stand and offered a table outside with a great “people watching” view of Rue Saint Paul. We were then greeted by Elise who brought us our water and bread (delicious) before our server Elias came to introduce himself. All of the staff were pleasant, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. We started by ordering drinks (a local IPA for me and a Sauvignon Blanc for my wife) and the calamari as an appetizer. My IPA was delicious but my wife didn’t care for her wine. No worries, the service team quickly replaced it with a different selection that she absolutely loved. We both ordered the boneless ribeye steak (rare). The steaks came as ordered, nicely plated with a pairing of creamy mashed potatoes, broccoli and carrots. All were cooked to perfection and came at the right temperature for each item. Elias and Elise checked on us several times, Elias took a beautiful picture of us to commemorate our visit and after we finished dinner the restaurant treated us to their homemade chocolate mousse cake to celebrate our anniversary. Delicious and such a nice touch. I explored the inside of the restaurant and it was beautifully decorated and the tables were nicely spaced out (no sitting on top of other guests like other restaurants we’ve visited). We leave today for Quebec but if we were still in Montreal we would not hesitate to dine here again. If you’re in Old Montreal, you should, too! Job well done!
