    2 steak dinners. One was prepared well and very tasty. The other was very tough and full of gristle. Almost impossible to cut.

    I’ve been to this restaurant on my visits to Montreal a few times. In the past I’ve always enjoyed everything about it. The ambiance, the service, and most importantly the food. This past visit I was very disappointed with the service as well as the quality of the food. For starters, our server failed to offer the complimentary bread and butter, despite everyone around us being offered such. Our server failed to check on us even once during our meal. And, most importantly, the food was subpar. I’m afraid that this restaurant, which was packed to the walls, has gotten so popular that the rush of customers has caused the food quality, and perhaps the service, to drop precipitously. I think I could have gotten a better meal at the McDonalds around the corner. I have a list of Montreal restaurants to visit for my trips there as well as for my friends that consult me for Montreal restaurant recommendations . Vieux-Port Steakhouse won’t be on that list going forward.

    Everything was beyond excellent. The Rose Sangria, and the best fillet minion I have ever eaten. I will return the next time I am in Montreal!

    The steak was excellent! Our server was personable and knowledgeable. Excellent setting. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

    It was a great experience. The ambience was very nice and the waiter was very nice and professional. He gave some good recommendations and was very attentive. The food was very delicious and it came pretty quickly. Overall, it was a great experience and I would eat there again.

    Nice restaurant. Had great weather to enjoy sitting at their outdoor patio enjoying great vibes in Old Montreal. Food came rather quickly and was tasty. Although we had to ask for bread separately, even though I ordered lobster bisque and escargots. I figured that would be a given. Overall, still a wonderful experience.
