Our second visit. Everyone enjoyed the food, the service, and the ambience. Our server Anita was top notch. Paella negra was tasty but could have used a little mor clams and calamari. We will go back.

Our first time at Vida and we enjoyed it very much. We had the happy hour menu: papas bravas, bread with tomato and serrano ham and shared the burger. Everything was delicious but if we had paid more attention to the fact that the burger came with potatoes we probably would have skipped the papas. Wine was great as was the service: attentive but not intrusive. The only negative was that we sat outside and the constant train noise was annoying thus the lower ambiance star. Inside would be worth a try. Will go back.

It’s a wonderful restaurant for a casual dinner evening. Our server Anita was wonderful and we valued her recommendations. The pulpo was fantastic and cooked to perfection. The croquettes were also perfect and delicious. The pan tomato was a little disappointing and looks like the bread was not rubbed traditionally with garlic. Unfortunately the next dish Gambas, the shrimp was not deveined (like Spain LOL ! ). We also had the Potato bravas was good but lacked the flavor and crunch. Lastly we had 2 paella, carne and seafood which was ok but a little on the Spanish flavor and didn’t have that all important crust. We ended the evening with churros which was delicious and flan which was nice taste but a little dense in texture. The ambience and bar area is very nice and tastefully done. Perhaps they could have someone check the toilets periodically to ensure that they maintain a high level of hygiene through the evening. Overall we had a fun evening and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a small group looking for a casual meet and fun evening.

We tried multiple small plates and ordered wine by the glass to accompany the tapas. The octopus, potatoes, grilled romaine hearts, potatoes and sweet peppers were very good. The olives and almonds were good but the usual. The spacing of the dishes was pretty good but could have been a little slower. The waitress was very attentive and helpful with her suggestions. All in all a very pleasant pre theater dining experience.

Food quality and quantity was low given the high price tag. Cascal nearby has much better paella for the price. If they had more vegan/gf options for tapas I would consider returning.

Great ambience and the open bar highlights the space. Food came fast. Lamb albondigas nicely made with a sauce. Ham croquets were creamy and sweet. The Moroccan lamb chops were crisp and meaty with enough couscous to fill your stomach. Wife had the branzino which she liked. For desert the Basque cheescake had a nicely burnt top and was not too sweet. Service was a bit haphazard.

Went with friends. Almonds and potato appetizer good, grilled salad really good, lamb chops tasty and vegetable paella good. However food came out way too fast. Part of enjoying a meal is having each item served slowly so that each course can be savored & guests can enjoy being with friends. We felt way too rushed. The atmosphere is super loud and lively, making it really hard to have a conversation. Post Covid we’re all thrilled to be able to dine out in restaurants. At the same time, when so many are talking loudly and the acoustics don’t absorb the sound, it’s challenging to enjoy regular conversation. Regardless, we still enjoyed our experience.

This place gets a middle of the road rating. Staff was nice but not extremely attentive. The buser brought the wrong plate and it took awhile to get their attention again so we could point that out. It should have been easier to flag someone since there were only a half dozen other people in the restaurant at the time but the staff seemed to disappear. Food is good but no flavors that said "Wow." Music was loud which didn't need to be the case, again because there were so few diners. Many other restaurants on this street that will get my future business. Just thought we'd try Vida. Gave it a shot. Oh well.

As a Spaniard I'm always excited when a new Spanish restaurant opens. So, I decided to go last Saturday and these are my comments: - food started to be served before we even got our drinks. We had to remind them about the drinks. - the garlic shrimps were very good, the pintxos were good, but the latter were served kind of cold. - the patatas bravas were very nice and so was the cheesecake. - the salad was a total ripoff. We paid $14 for a few roman lettuce leaves, 4 pieces of tomatoes and 2 olives sprinkled with a bit of Manchego cheese. Do not order it if you don't want to waste your money!! - we had to remind them about the dessert. - portions are on the small side, so if you are very hungry or are a big eater, you may end up with a big bill. - the restaurant is very nicely decorated but the level of noise inside is way too loud to have a normal conversation. Unfortunately, given my experience and pricing, I'm not sure I will be back.

We have gone to Vida a few times. Every other time the food was excellent and service great. This time the food seemed "fine" at best. The Tortillia de Patatas was best describe as "mushy" (it was much better before). I will call out the Gambas de Ajillo as outstanding. On the service side, it has been much better in the past. Once seated we waited a long time for anyone to acknowledge us, drinks did not come until most of the way through the meal, and there were some errors in the ordering. Again, this was not an issue in the past, so perhaps they were short staffed that night? Here's hoping that this was just a one-off and not a new trend on the food side. I would still recommend based on past experience. But another thing to note is that Vida is VERY loud. Just be aware if that is an issue for you. This last time even our server was having a hard hearing our orders.

The food was tasty but really small to share with people. Generally if you are with 3 people, a server will suggest 3 pieces of bread rather than the 2 small pieces that come with the tapas. Ours did not and didn’t give us an heads up to order more. Each order of extra bread was minimal and cost 2 dollars. It just seemed ridiculous. Service was very slow and we were seated down a long, narrow room that gave me claustrophobia. You hit each persons chair going in and out of the room. Silly design. Due to the wait time and value for the money, we bailed rather than order more food. After splitting 4 tapas, we all still left very hungry. I think they still have kinks to work out. But, the chef did a nice job and food tasted good. The design of the main room/bar area is very pretty.

Vida was lively and fun on a Spring Saturday evening. They seated us right away with reservations. The wait staff is friendly and helpful, but my sense is they were understaffed and struggling to keep up. Our drinks order came after food when we reminded our waiter for instance. The food was well prepared and tasty. Serrano ham appetizer had great fresh tomatoes and toast for instance. We enjoyed a relaxing meal and look forward to coming back

Attractive venue, light and airy. Like its predecessor in the venue, the sound level is deafening. It is almost impossible to carry on a conversation at a table for four. The cocktails were innovative and tasty but the pours were very small. Large glasses, filled with beautiful garnishes hid the drinks that had to be consumed before they evaporated. The food showed high quality ingredients, except for the tough, overcooked, inedible lamb skewers. Unfortunately, the ingredients were underspiced and therefore bland. Once again, portions were small, especially the paella which consisted for 4 prawns, a scattering of shellfish, and a 1/2 inch of rice.

Sat outside so noise level was minimal. Food was interesting but scant. There were four of us. We ordered 4 tapas and a paella, all to share. Plus we each had a drink. Presentation and taste of food was unique and choices were plentiful. However, no one felt full when we left. It was perfect for me, as I am a small person. However, anyone with a big appetite will be a bit disappointed.

The food is tasty and authentic. The octopus and shrimp tapas were outstanding. The drinks are fun because of the colorful and whimsical presentation. The waitress was very nice but seemed to be covering a lot of tables. If I waved to her, she’d come right over, but for 5 star service she’d have checked in with us more proactively. The food is a bit pricey but everywhere seems pricey nowadays. We will definitely return.

We ordered - Jamon Iberico - OK, "sauce" is just blended skinless tomatoes, light pink color, not much flavor. Tortilla de Patatas - bland, mushy. Croquettas de Jamon - super creamy, cannot taste jamon, bland Pintxos Morunos - tough meat (skirt steak?); uneven size cubes - the smaller cubes are too well done. Gambas al Ajillo - the spicy oil is good, but the shrimp taste pre-cooked, not fresh grilled Pulpo Gallego - like the presentation and the little line of mashed potatoes along the edge of the plate, the pulpo tender but bland. Paella Negra - the squid and clams are teeny but fresh & tender ...however, the black rice stuck to pan, and burnt around the edges of pan. Branzino - bland had to ask for salt - the small fish is fresh but near the head is still pink and raw. Flan - OK , heavy texture Basque cheesecake - our fav The tapas came out so fast and luke warm we think they are pre-cooked. Will not return...

We had the beef skewers, prawns, lamb meatballs and jamon serrano. all were good. We also had the fried romaine lettuce which was more adventurous than we could handle. The service was good and the food came out quickly after we ordered. The music was a rather loud techno pop which prevented conversation but that didn't seem to bother the younger patrons. We might come again and eat outside.
