   My wife and I chose Vic & Anthony’s because of their strict dress code. Twenty minutes into our $500 dinner a table of 6 adults, 4 of whom were wearing baseball caps turned backwards along with saggy and baggy shorts that exposed their underwear. I requested to speak with a member of management who, upon arriving at the table, explained the dress code as no bathing suits only. This dress code is nothing close to what is posted on their web page.

   One of my guests ordered chicken, but it was not cooked properly and was disgusting. He sent it back and it was taken off the bill. Another guest and I both ordered a wedge salad, but the dressing was bland and there were very few blue cheese crumbles. It did not taste bad, but it did not taste good either. We also ordered a ribeye steak, which was average at best. This restaurant is a far cry from the Vic & Anthony's in Houston, and I do not plan to ever go back. High prices for bad and not so good food. For a steakhouse, try the Saltgrass, which is also in the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles.

   V&A offers amazing food & service. Great place for a special occasion meal. Michael is the best server. Very attentive & offers great suggestions (brussel sprouts were the bomb)!

    It’s always a great experience at Vic and Anthony’s at the Golden Nugget. Our server Vincent was amazing. Made great suggestions and took great care of us. The food was delicious. My ordered the salmon and it was made perfectly. The cocktails were amazing. Always recommend this place.
