Via Tribunali Capitol Hill
As it turns out almost all of the tall tales are true – on opening night people lined up for the authentic Neaopolitan pizza and since then our ovens have only gotten busier. Via Tribunali has been called "more authentic than the pizzerias of Naples," and even though that is a flattering exaggeration it is fair to say that our pizzerias have grown out of an almost unnatural passion for the food & wine of Southern Italy.
We had such a fantastic time! Great food and great atmosphere, 5 stars :)
Great wine offerings and suggestions from the server. Outstanding pizza flavor combinations as well. The seats are terribly uncomfortable though, much to everyone in our party's dismay. Not very accommodating for bodies. Would greatly have preferred a booth.
Everyone in our party of nine was happy with what they ordered, so we will certainly go back. Delicious food, great service.
Everything was wonderful... except the uncomfortable seating.
Outstanding pizza and service. Liked the decor, too!
Terrific food and cocktails and upstanding owners. One of our go-to spots for these reasons.
Via Tribunali is delicious! I went with friends for a birthday celebration. We split a bottle of wine and some pizzas. Everything was super good!! We left the restaurant very full and very happy. They even treated our birthday girl to some tiramisu on the house :)
I’ll be back to Via Tribunali!
Went for my son's 18th birthday. I indicated the special occasion in my reservation. They did not acknowledge it in any way. The pizza was great. Service slow. Ceasar salad underdressed.
Great table in the back, awesome ambience for a team event.
Delicious wood fired pizza. Great service and nice decor. Love this place.
Great food, nice restaurant, a bit loud music, but otherwise great! Authentic Italian pizza!
This place is REALLY good. If you like Napolitan style pizza then this is your place. It is very authentic and done the Italian way. Everything in addition seems so fresh and that is perhaps why this place is so good. The building has alot of character. Really an old space that has been converted but maintains all of the originial character. There are 4 other spots so this pizza place is popular. When we got there they were moderately full but by the time we left people were waiting by the door for a table.
Okay, okay, so I ate *way* too much pizza. What can I say... It was excellent.
We had a table near the window of this narrow and deep restaurant, where it was much darker early evening when we were there. Very thin crust pizza (and calzone) selections are extensive, and more formal dishes are also available. The pizzas are larger than you might think for the price; two shared with three people would be perfect.
The wine list was surprisingly extensive and reasonable, although very high end wines are available if you want to spend the money. We discovered a Morellino di Scansano, at $52, which I'd never heard before but would seek out. Morellino di Scansanos, from southern Tuscany, are 85% sangiovese and 15% "vintner's choice." The two on their menu are fabulous.
Our server was friendly and terrific, and surprisingly knowledgeable on wines for her young age.
This is a great place to go before or after seeing a performance at the nearby 12th Avenue Arts black box theater.
Genuinely authentic in a cool old part of the building. It's my favorite pizza in Seattle which wouldn't be my typical pick for an anniversary but it feels more like you are in iIaly and feels more upscale.
Great overall experience. The server danette was awesome and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere!
We really enjoyed our meal. The Burrata appetizer, Caesar salad, and pizza were all very good. I wish I had more room to order more to try. The service was great.
Food was awesome! Tasted like authentic Italian
Such a fan of this place! The food was delicious, the house wine was reasonably priced and the restaurant itself has a great vibe. I will be returning!
Good experience, however restaurant did not check us in for our reservation.
I have heard awesome things about this restaurant and have been dying to try it. The service was excellent and I the décor was very cool. The pizza oven is very cool and makes for some excellent pizza.
Best wood fired pizza I ever had! If I had spent more time in Seattle I would have gone there every night for dinner!
I suspect people come here for the pizza and the drinks, and not the atmosphere. The pizzas and appetizers we ordered were done well, and the service was attentive. We had been to the (now closed) Fremont location, so knew the ambience to expect--NOT a quiet, white-tablecloth experience. If you set your expectations appropriately, it is a good spot for a lively evening.
Great food, but the restaurant (and even bathrooms) are soooo dark! Ask for a table near the front windows.
The service was amazing. I was a little stressed trying to make sure everything went smoothly for the party but our waiter was very patient with me and was so helpful! It was the perfect place to celebrate my boyfriends 32nd birthday with friends!
We always have a great time at Via Tribunali. Great value wines they source from Italy. Pizza is always great. Our son gets the Caprese on a stick (small bites) and we all have the Mezza Luna dessert (Nutella Calzone - not to be missed!)
Delicious thin crust pizza! Service is wonderful - friendly and professional.
Great ambiance - kids love watching the
pizza being made!
Went here with a big group for a birthday party. Great service, delicious food, tasty wine (and they didn't try to up-sell us at all!).
Pizza is very good naples style. Enjoyed the vongole and the DOC very much. Did not enjoy the lighting so dark I could not read the menu or see what I was actually eating. We had a group of six (not particularly big people) and got stuck in a very tight booth - no other options at the time apparently. They have you slice your own pie with scissors and when you can barely move your elbows, its kind of a bummer so leave a couple of friends at home when you come here.
A great place to take friends from out of town. The pizzas were all amazing! We loved the crust! will be coming back
crazy big portions which is great given solid price point but also plan to walk a mile after eating lol. great service
Awesome atmosphere! Came with a group of 13 and they perfectly catered to our needs. I will be going back soon for some more great pizza!
Celebrated my husband's birthday with dinner - great spot! Delicious pizza and pasta, and a fantastic wine list. Ben was our server - he is knowledgeable, attentive and gracious. The Nutella calzone for dessert was incredible! We will be back!
We are Italian-Americans. The food is terrific! We always enjoy it there.
Superb food and friendly service. We really enjoyed the lasagna as well as the pizza. A table of rowdy pre-teens was the only thing that kept it from perfect.
Service and food was great. Would be nice to see a few other appetizer options. Great dinner!
Very attentive waitstaff! Our server made sure we were okay, and was great in suggesting food and wine. Our server even educated us on the different types of olives! Food was good, and my fiance and I enjoyed our experience.
Table of 15 and the dinner was seamless with great service!
This restaurant used to be very active and the food used to be great. Now the pizzas are just ok. The clam pizza had the clams in the shells on the pizza with no other accompaniments, the prosciutto pizza just had prosciutto and nothing else on it. Very plain. It's just not as good as it used to be.
YUM, YUM, they nail it and the server was great too! Wish they would add the Arugula, prosciutto pizza back but had enough yum to waddle out and can't wait to return.
Great waiter. Good happy hour menu. Food is good not great, and came out hot. Drinks are poured strongly!
