In 2012 the restaurant was born as IN PARMA and transformed with a new attractive look into VIA EMILIA in 2023 to offer the popular signature dish Gnocco Fritto also in Central London. Once upon a time an Italian guy proud to be from Emilia-Romagna region, up-north Italy, the region where the home-made egg pasta was originally invented, decided to create a whole restaurant using every single product, pasta recipe that come maniacally and exclusively from his region.
Covering the typical fresh pasta dishes from each Emilian city hand-made in front of you and following the original Grandma’s own recipe and maintaining an outstanding value.
Also Launching the real Gnocco Fritto in London, the typical gently-fried bread to enjoy with meat&cheese.
Offering just 40 covers, Via Emilia is intimate yet light and airy with its traditional white marble and dark stained wood. At 5 minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road Tube station.

Great food and excellent service. I did mention on the booking it was a celebration so hoped for a candle in our dessert as other tables had but other than that… A lovely experience.

It was a little hard to find as it’s down a side street off the Beaton path. Small and quaint, the manager was delightful and explained the menu making great recommendations. He explained where the ingredients come from and the recommendations were perfect. Portions are smaller and it was perfect for my mom and me. The chairs inside are stools and not the most comfortable but there are booths on the other side of the table. Very small restaurant and good place for a nice quiet meal. Staff was very friendly and the food was delicious.

We were at Via Emilia as a large group (13 adults) - we were really well looked after, the food was superb and having taken the restaurant’s recommendation of the set menu had a great selection of food that all arrived at the same time. The waitress that looked after us explained the dishes really well and couldn’t have been a better host. Highly recommend and will be visiting again the next time I am in London.

We had an excellent dinner here. The service was great and the staff were very helpful and offered good advice on what to order. We will definitely come back again soon.

Excellent experience, fantastic North Italian food served by passionate and knowledgeable staff. We listened to their recommendations and the cheese and meat pairings with the bread were outstanding. For main I had the anolini in broth which I would highly recommend, and my friend had Cacio e Pepe and both were perfect for us. All served with a delicious lambrusco (which could be a blast from the past for some) will go back again next time we are staying locally. Highly recommended!

The food here is amazing - hugely recommend it. Our server was friendly and informative, explained the menu to us well. We were large group so we had a tasting menu of a few dishes to share - it worked really well. I’ll be back for sure :)
