We chose this location as it was a quick walk to the ballet. The hotel's lobby was filled with stunning florals and beautiful visual displays. We were led to Horizons and seated promptly. Although we did not find a menu online, the brunch and cocktail selections were fantastic. Our server was outstanding! He even personally escorted us to the lady's room. Save room for the Crème Brûlée!

It’s was a calming afternoon tea visit. The food was alright, and the scone wasn’t to my liking(personal preference) but the star was the desserts displayed on the top. I had a no dairy and pork restriction so they were happy to bring out other desserts/food catering to my dietary restrictions. Overall a great spot for afternoon tea!

Sadly a Hotel as sophisticated as Shangrila doesn’t find the time to update its profile on Open Table. It promised a champagne combo but champagne hasn’t been on its menu for quite a while. We were looking forward to a celebratory meal. Sadly it was very nice food, acceptable service given the service shortage in Toronto, but not what was advertised.

Cute patio and cute decor with Veuve Cliquot branding literally everywhere, but to be very clear- there is NO Veuve offered. At all. No glasses, no bottles. And only one type of champagne offered (Tattinger). So don’t go expecting to have a fun champagne tasting experience.

Took my best friend for brunch to celebrate her birthday. Ernesto provided us with fantastic service and made the whole experience incredibly smooth and enjoyable. The food was phenomenal and the prices were more than fair for what we received. The elevated and covered patio provided much needed shade from the sun and was removed enough from street level that the road noise was manageable. The only unfortunate incident was a maintenance worker came by with a leaf blower during our meal, which made it impossible for us to hear or speak to one another. But I understand that's very hard to prevent. Additionally, a sign on the patio directing people to check-in inside the hotel would have been helpful for first-timers like us. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and we'll definitely be back in the future!

Advertised as a Veuve Clicquot event but there was no Veuve. Instead we were offered another bottle off menu, only after we had ordered. Understanding we have a regional shortage but if it's marketed as Veuve Clicquot I would've expected they let us know ahead of time or have a plan B ready and communicated clearly.

Very disappointing as we booked for 6 people for brunch but were given lounge type seating which was not specified on the booking. The lounge seating is difficult to eat and enjoy a meal and the hotel should be indicating that certain tables are not proper tables (if they had indicated this I would not have booked). The hostess did a great job of getting us a table after about 40 minutes. Service was acceptable but very slow due to the hotel being understaffed as the waitress was serving the entire patio on her own. Food was pretty good but they are sold out of veuve champagne and due to shortages in the region of champagne they are unable to get any. While not the hotel’s fault they should advertise when booking that the veuve clicquot experience is not available

This was a very special occasion meal. Service very responsive. Setting was disappointing: extremely loud traffic and nearby large parties of guests made conversation virtually impossible. Food very good. Overall, modest value.

It was my second time there. And it was HORRIBLE! First of all “ veuve clicquot” patio had No veuve clicquot champagne they told me “ they run out” they offered me some very questionable 35$ per glass champagne. Food was bad! I had scallops and oysters and it wasn’t even fresh! And at the end my bill was $250 Do not recommend!

My friend and I came for brunch. The venue and ambience were nice but food and service could use some improvements. I ordered the Egg Benedicts and the eggs came cooked and not runny - not what they should be. Server also brought us sliced bread but not butter which we had to ask for. End of meal, we asked for the bill but server forgot and we had to wait awhile and asked again. I think because of the venue being at the Shangri-La Hotel, we were expecting better.

This was NOT has promoted. There is NO Veuve Tea Experience that you can reserve and enjoy. The promotional campaign is wrong and misleading. The experience is ONLY FOR ROOM SERVICE for hotel guests. It is unfortunate that the campaign promotes the experience and describes the full menu and offers a booking option all on the same page - when it is only for a limited audience (not mentioned). I showed the Manager my email confirmation and the communication (with IMAGES!) and she felt bad and acknowledged the mistake and said I am not the only one to have come in on a reservation for the wrong experience. Apparently the promotional marking is done out of Dubaii. She was lovely but really couldn't do anything. We stayed for lunch and it was lovely - just not as expected overall. The Veuve decor is fun and the patio is great overall.

I knew about the pricing before going to it wasn’t an issue and the champagne was well worth it. The Oysters are expensive but sooo good. Service at the front was okay but we were seated in a wide open area at the front when it was obvious we were on a date. Asked a waiter to be moved to a more intimate seat and he did. It was nice. Ambience was great.

The Shangri La focuses on consistency with exceptional service. Understanding first day of indoor dining occurred so some logistics were still being figure out so it took a bit longer to seat people. The sliders were delicious and any requests to customize the food was accommodated.
