   Dined in for the first time with my father and friend. Service was decent and attentive. We enjoyed our apps. Overall, I don’t think prices match the service and theme of the restaurant. We each ordered the wagyu , all steaks were under cooked: Ordered Mr and M and all came out Rare. Steaks were thin and over priced for what you get, marbling was not the best. $700 later I did not really feel like I got my moneys worth. It could of been a one off but who knows.

   The ambience at Vestal is second to none - wait staff is superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit the this restaurant. The only disappointment was the appetizers were very salty, which made it difficult to eat. Otherwise, everything else was a wonderful experience - especially the drinks!

   Everything was amazing as always. Daniel Took care of us and the service was immaculate. The brunch menu had several small plate options as well as entrees, and everything we tried exceeded our expectations. The cocktails were great, as usual. We would highly recommend Vestal!

    The food was amazing! The best meal we’ve had when eating upscale in a long while. The price was worth the unique dishes we were able to try. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the entire menu. It is quite loud, but again, the food coupled with the environment made for an experience we look forward to having again soon.

    We are Houstonians and no stranger to excellent, local dining in a comfortable, modern atmosphere. Let’s just say we felt right at home at Vestal. The whole roasted fish was amazing! Everything we ate was so creative with ingredient pairings we’ve never seen before. The drinks were fantastic as well ( both cocktails and wine) and the service was very attentive. The only tiny adjustment that could be made is the noise level so that the wait staff does not have to shout and we wouldn’t have to shout back. Overall though we would definitely go back.

    Wood fired oysters were excellent, nice size. Shrimp & Grits were equally good, perfect texture and flavor. Crab spaghetti was unique and light. Ribeye was cooked just right with the fat being charred just enough to give it some crunch. Mac & cheese and fingerling potatoes were equally impressive. Ambience was good for our 6:00 reservation. Daniel, our server was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

    It was our first time dining at Vestal. We were a party of four adults, two ladies and our husbands. We ordered both drinks, appetizers, and main courses. All the food was extremely salty, even too salty for those of us that don’t mind salt in general. The price of the food was over the top for the serving size of each dish and the quality of the food served. The beet salad had wilted arugula and beets so hard it was like eating them raw. The staff was accommodating and listened to our complaints. The manager apologized for our dissatisfaction. Personally I was not able to finish what I had ordered due to the excess of salt. Others also did not finish. We will not return.

    Great food, they did a good job with redesigning the space…admittedly, it’s acoustics are tough. We are still young enough to be able to hear pretty well but definitely would be challenging with older folks.

    This restaurant is singlehandedly one of the best I've ever been to. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the food is even better. Service is prompt even when the restaurant is super busy. I truly cannot recommend this place enough!

    Everything on the menu is exceptional! The steaks are melt in your mouth and the butter add ons are phenomenal! Their entrees are all unique and sound so delicious! The crispy fingerling potatoes are to die for, definitely one of our favorite side we have had there.

    Brought some friends to dinner. This was our second time here. Food and service was as before, outstanding. A little gem in Lafayette. Best steak I’ve had since I was there a couple months ago. I’ll be back

    Have been to Vestal 4-5 times. Was super disappointed they took their focaccia bread and feta butter off the menu!!😭😭 otherwise it was pretty good. The oysters, U10 shrimp and crawfish bisque were outstanding! Vibe and atmosphere is always great

    Birthday dinner for my GF. We thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and rolls for our appetizers. After that I had a delicious Caesar salad. We each got the filet for our entree. It was charred on the outside really well while still maintaining all the juice and flavor on the inside. My girlfriend had 2 sidecars. Her first one was excellent. We are unsure if the second was made by a different bartender but it had a completely different presentation and wasn’t as superb as the first. I ordered a Morally Bankrupt and it was delicious!

    We enjoyed our first experience at Vestal very much. Very lively atmosphere! We sat at the counter so we were able to watch the staff prepare the meals around the wood-fired grill area. The workers operate like a well-oiled machine! The service was excellent and the food was tasty. The wood-cooked oysters were amazing! The steaks were well cooked and tasty as well. And finally, the sweet potatoes were delicious - with all the toppings, they were like dessert. We weren’t crazy about the rolls, but everything else made up for that. Highly recommend this place and plan to visit again. Just a note - When it’s busy, the noise level is pretty intense so if you want a quieter experience, ask to sit near the back (away from the bar area).

    Had the wood roasted oysters, looked fantastic until you put in your mouth and taste nothing but salt. My wife got the filet and she couldn’t eat it due to the amount of salt( like licking salt block). I had the tomahawk pork shop and way over overcooked. The atmosphere is nice but gets a little noise. Surely not worth the price!!

    The food, service and cocktails were all amazing. I ordered the Redfish, with a blackened butter topping, and whipped potatoes. My husband ordered the filet which was buttery and cooked perfectly. Fabulous.
