So lovely! the ambiance is so amazing… the croquettes were life changing yummy!
Love the atmosphere . The food was good definitely will go back .
Unique. Great ambiance. Amazing food. And we got some really beautiful photos.
Food was incredible ! Wide variety, large portions.
Scallops, steak, and trout were delicious. the crème brûlée was perfect.
Great service, great food, lovely ambiance.
My friends all agreed that the food was fantastic. The service was attentive. We were sitting outside, but never felt ignored. We were appreciative that there was an outdoor option, as some of our crowd were nervous about COVID-19. The only suggestion from the table was an upgrade in coffee. It was weak and not worthy of a New Orleans restaurant. Despite that, we enjoyed our visit immensely.
Hi Marian, Thank you for your feedback. We are working on getting our coffee on the level we expect of it. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Wonderful atmosphere, staff and food! Highly recommend!
Really cool place. They converted an old church into a cool restaurant. Food was good and they have a ton of off street parking (very rare for this area). I’d definitely go back.
The space is amazing, the drinks great but the food is….not so much…. I wanted the food to be fabulous and we were just underwhelmed! We are nola girls and love love our food. We did go for brunch so perhaps there are better options at other times, but nothing was even 8/10 that we were served! With that said, we loved our server and the space generally!
Incredible Waiter and service. SUCH good food.
We enjoyed our evening… The cheese board was extremely small, but our server made up for it by bringing out some extra cheese. Drinks were awesome
Hi, I'm very pleased that your server took the for thought to ensure you received the proper amount of cheese. We've been having some issues with new cooks executing portions correctly. As much as I'd like to be a part of every guest experience personally, I'm glad to know I have staff looking out for what I expect and correcting when something is wrong. We hope to have you back soon! Cheers, Amandalynn Picolo Faucheaux General Manager & Executive Chef
Such a great experience! Atmosphere is chill and the staff is also friendly. Our server, Dimitri was absolutely wonderful and made fabulous recommendations. Amanda also made us feel welcomed and made our experience even better. Excellent food and cocktails. Menu is extremely impressive and seasonal. The scallops, Tomahawk pork chop, and cheese board are a must. And if you're looking for the best Old Fashioned... Vessel NOLA is the place to go!!! We are so glad that we drove from Biloxi, MS to enjoy this little gem and will definitely be back.

The food and crafted cocktails were delicious. The ambience is fantastic and historical. The service was excellent!
We had an awesome dinner!!!!!!
I can’t talk up the scallop risotto enough!
Erica was our server, she was delightful
We’ll be back, thank you!!
We enjoyed our brunch. We like the great ambiance, wonderful friendly service and delicious food.
My group and I visited Vessel NOLA for Sunday brunch during a bachelorette trip in New Orleans and it was the perfect way to end our weekend. Everyone in our party had heard amazing things about this restaurant, and it lived up to the hype. From the décor, beautiful stained glass windows, friendly service, and incredible food, we were so happy to have visited and will absolutely be back again!
For the food, we decided to order and split a few items. We tried the Crawfish Croquettes, Breakfast Tartine, Classic Benedict and Biscuits with Andouille Sausage Gravy. I personally loved everything but will be dreaming about the biscuits and gravy until my next visit.
Beautiful setting, OK food & small menu. It was pretty empty when we were there, which made it feel less than festive. Seems like it could be a really cool place, but something missing. Service was not bad, but was not great either - staff did not seem particularly enthusiastic. Vessel has a lot going for it, but is missing the mark somewhere
Hi Kristin, Thank you for your feedback. Our menu is about to see a spring iteration soon so please check back. We are historically slow the first few weeks of January. Had you dined with us in December I guarantee it would have been an incredibly festive vibe. Rising covid cases in our area is putting a strain on all of our staff. I know we will continue to improve once we move further away from the current outbreak. Sincerely, Amandalynn Picolo Faucheaux General Manager
We’ve come here several times in the last couple weeks entertaining friends and family in for the holidays. Stopped in today with my Mom for brunch before she returned home after enjoying the last holiday week .. brunch was awesome! They’ve got a $25 Mimimosa bottle special and the boudin benedict was delicious. It’s a must try for Brunch. It was also very empty today which is weird cause the food was great. Maybe the post holiday doldrums? Either way. Don’t sleep on this place. It’s a good time.
Appetizers were good but my husband's pork chop was dry, my mussels tasted strange and my son's shrimp were not cooked properly. The manager did come over and offer us free dessert which was very generous. Maybe there was achange in the kitchen because we enjoyed Vessel much more in the past. I doubt we will go back.
Hi Celeste, I am disappointed to hear this. I attempted to make it right by offering to remake the porkchop, offered dessert, and I expressed I wanted you to leave 100% happy when you stated an additional glass of wine would be great. We are working hard to get our new kitchen staff trained to my expectations while dealing with a more contagious covid outbreak taking out our key staff. Its upsetting when I'm not given the opportunity to win back your support even though I made every effort.
Tasty food! We enjoyed our cocktail lunch! Gregory is a great server. We really enjoyed his service.
Awesome venue. Good food. Good service.
Vessel is a quiet location with a fantastic theme . Cocktails, Apps, and Dessert were great. enjoyed our server as well!
Delish lunch. Shrimp corn salad was amazing.
So were the steak frites.
It was a work outing and we enjoyed sitting outside and being safe! thanks it was GREAT!
Thank you so much! We are happy you enjoyed our outdoor area and that you felt safe. We appreciate your business. Sincerely, Amandalynn Picolo General Manager
This was my second time at Vessel which is so beautiful! We started with the crawfish croquettes and crab au gratin and for our entrees we had the shrimp and grits and chicken dish. We could not decide what we liked best because everything was so good! The cocktails we loved which are a must are Bee's Knee and Hidden Agenda. We decided to try their brunch this weekend.
Great food with friendly service!
I really wanted to like this place as the building is gorgeous and would be a great place to take friends out for drinks. Unfortunately I can’t write anything else nice about this place. Our waitress was unmasked for the first part of our service. My appetizer plate arrived dirty. The appetizers were terrible. We ordered the pork belly and the croquettes. The pork belly was over cooked on a bed of thrown together and unseasoned beans. The croquettes were not as the name implied and were more like dry unseasoned hush puppies. Unseasoned was definitely the theme for the night. Our main courses were the pork tomahawk and shrimp and grits. The pork was over cooked and without an ounce of salt or flavor. The shrimp and grits were the worst I’ve had in this city. Instead of shrimp on a creamy bed of grits with a complimentary gravy I got a bowl of sand textured mess with a very loose gravy in a bowl that almost assured it would spill out. We tried our best to eat what we ordered as we hate to waste but we couldn’t even bring ourselves to get takeout boxes for what was left.
Beyond our visit, I began to peruse reviews of this restaurant and was appalled by the owners’ reactions to valid criticisms. Instead of attacking every guest the owners should ask themselves what they can do to keep their restaurant afloat. The food is Herbsaint priced with Olive Garden level cooking skills. The service isn’t up to par and is down right dangerous in current conditions. If the ship sinks maybe the next owners will not take for granted such a beautiful space.
Hi, I am incredibly sorry for your experience with service and food. I have a mask mandate in place for all our front of house staff, so I will be researching which server did not follow procedure and take action. I have a very new team and we are working hard to work out our kinks. We lost staff with Ida due to them moving away post storm and are trying to get everyone up to speed. I'm very sorry you were negatively impacted. Regards, Amanda Faucheaux General Manager
Great dining experience outside on the patio. The church is really cute too. Recommend the scallops, the croquettes, and a tequila old fashion.
We are locals and we will be back soon!
Great atmosphere, good and always consistent food. Similar staffing problems to everyone else, but handled very well by hardworking staff. Would recommend.
It was nice place for brunch. They kept apologizing on the wait for the food due to staff shortages but also comped two free drinks. I was happy, and it didn’t seem that long of a wait anyway.
They were out of a lot of food and the service was great. He tried to make suitable changes but the kitchen kept getting our order wrong. I would definitely chose something different in New Orleans when we go back.
We are so sorry about your experience. All of our menu items are made from scratch from fresh ingredients. The food order was not delivered due to Covid and worker shortages and we could not make all menu items. We are also shorts staffed both front and back of house as are most other restaurant in the country. We always strive to give 100% but unfortunately given the circumstances, we fell short the day you came in. We hope you will give us another chance in the future. Alec Wilder Owner
New Year’s Eve
We were here for New Year’s Eve and the Sugar Bowl. Our experience was wonderful. The food was fantastic from the appetizer to the dessert. The service was wonderful. We had to wait just a little before our table was ready. I would definitely come back.
We went to Vessel for their NYE pre fixe and the food was equivalent to mediocre wedding catering, but I have no complaints about the experience otherwise. I had been to Vessel on a non holiday previously and enjoyed the food much more.
Amazing meal. We had such a great time!
The food was excellent. We went for New Year’s Eve, the menu was a price fixe, so everyone was eating the same meal - yet the staff seemed overwhelmed. The main entree included a beef filet, but you had no choice in preparation (rare, medium, well, etc.). The bar was excellent, the ambiance was cool, and the food was all very good.
Had a great time!
Great atmosphere in converted church. Service was prompt and very friendly. Food was competent, menu a bit limited with no specials. Took a trolly from the French Quarter. We would go back.
Lovely restaurant and the food was very good. We experienced a mix up between our lovely server and the kitchen which had problems getting our order correct. We had a late reservation, 8:45 pm on a Thursday night, and it appeared the staff really wanted to close down, go home, and push us out. The bill came prior to finishing the main course.
I would go back again but much earlier when the staff is fresh and coordinated. Salads were great. Cheese plate was very tasty but very small portions, and shrimp with grits was way too salty for me. Outstanding old fashion cocktail.
Food was delicious! Ambiance was great! Definitely will be returning. Sadly, server was pretty unfriendly and drinks took forever to come to table but bartenders were very nice and will definitely still be returning!
