Vespaio Restaurant is one of the original South Congress eateries and remains one of Austin's favorite Italian go-to's among locals and visitors. This casual dinner venue is a popular choice for date nights or evenings out with friends, seating every day at 5pm. The interior of Vespaio Restaurant is decorated with ceiling tiles, ceiling plans, vintage pendant lighting, classic table seating, a plethora of wine racks and vibrant accent walls.In addition to a full bar menu, Vespaio Restaurant offers a lengthy selection of mouth-watering and flavorful authentic Italian dishes. Menu items include carpaccio, mixed seafood stew, lasagna, mussels, calamari, spaghetti carbonara, chocolate hazelnut cake, panna cotta and green pasta with shrimp.     Food was great, but they put us in the back where it was freezing, so that put a bit of a damper on dinner. We did ask to have it turned down, but I know that, that probably wasn't possible. The waitress also forgot our bread and really didn't attend to us too well.

    Our food was delicious (eggplant and Texas peaches antipasti; melon and Caesar salads; lasagna, risotto del giorno, and hanger steak with frites; Nutella cheesecake) and the service was outstanding! A little loud for conversation at a table of four, but everything else was perfect!

    We had amazing service and food. It was my mother-in-laws 79th birthday and I called ahead and asked for a quieter table for her birthday. Not only did they put us at a great table but the staff signed a card for her and had a dessert for her. The host and wait staff were great! The food portions are big and delicious! I highly recommend! They truly care about their customers!

    What a great experience we had. The food was all around delicious, we did not have one bad dish. Our favorite was the carbonara. Cocktails were great and they have an extensive wine menu. What really elevated our experience was our server. Cant wait to come back! New favorite Italian spot in Austin.
