Positive: generous wine pour, all personnel friendly, well prepared red fish, atmosphere. Negative: ordered the red fish with 'spring greens.' Spring greens turned out to be Italian parsley. Half portion $27. No sides included. Thought this an expensive restaurant for what you got.
Always great at Veronica’s
Excellent food and service. We will definitely be back!
Watched an employee from the kitchen use the Men’s Room and not wash his hands. Completely ruined a beautiful piece of Halibut. Came out dry and over cooked. They over decorate the food yet miss the basics of proper cooking.
Had a great time at Veronica’s. James was our server and he was amazing. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
The food was excellent. It was our second visit, and the experiences were consistent. Would definitely put this on our list to go again, and to recommend to friends
It is a fine restaurant with excellent staff. A very good value, especially for seafood!
Daniel at the bar is amazing. Great place to sit and mingle with friends. We sat at the bar because of Daniel but there were some cozy couches that looked amazingly comfortable.
Veronica has a variety of delicious fish, very well cooked.
Wonderful evening! Excellent food, great service fromPatrick ! Will definitely be back. A must when in Sarasota.
We were all very disappointed in the menu options and the rigidness of the choices. The daily special happened to be blackened salmon and there was no other way to have the salmon prepared. No one in our party eats blackened food.
Our waitress was wonderful (I believe her name was Susie) and after some discussion offered to request the salmon without blackened seasoning.
Two in our party ordered the salmon medium rare and one medium. All came very well done. I sent mine back and was then served the correct temperature, however, I requested no salt and it was very salty.
We would never return!
My favourite place for about a year. Best place in town to have a relaxing girl night out. Love their bar menu / cocktails. Always tasty, food quality is way above average. Service is excellent: nice and professional, friendly but not intrusive. Tried theSunday brunch with my husband and daughter for the first time the weekend. Roasted beet salad was perfect, cava was as good as some French champagnes and my kid was very happy with her pasta. Definitely one of the best (if not the best) spots in town in the bar/restaurant category.
We’ve been here before. Always special. Food always good. On this occasion, we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. She had her 18 month old son (my grandson) with her and our waitress made sure he had crayons and something to color. Without being obtrusive, the host checked on us a few times and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. I had the fried oyster Eggs Benedict. My favorite. Muffins are a must. Ditto for mimosas and Bloody Marys. Would highly recommend.
They ran out of two of the three fresh fish dishes on a Saturday night. Then we agreed to substitute the $19 grouper (from the grouper sandwich) on the special dish which was originally a thick piece of snapper, costing $31. They grouper did not hold up to the preparation and to add insult to injury they tried to charge us the full special price of $31. UGH!!! I won't bore you with the details, but the manager did not handle the situation well. Our waiter was pretty lame too -- he threw the manager under the bus in addition to not bringing us our appetizers for 15 minutes and not asking if we needed a refill on our drinks or water. Not going back.
Great experience and service. Chef was creative and accommodating. Fish and oysters fresh and well prepared!
A must place to dine in Sarasota!
Each time we’ve come here it’s better and better. Excellent food and service. Wouldn’t change a thing!
Gage, our server, was great. Hush puppies and oyster salad were very good, bibb salad was 99% lettuce.
Fantastic. Never disappoints.
Excellent addition to the restaurant scene in Sarasota. Everything was excellent from Daniel at the bar to the friendly clientele (Barbi & Rosie). Will return.
While in Sarasota for a wedding, we decided to give Veronica's a try as we read many good things about this Owen's Fish Camp sibling. The reviews are true...everything about this place was top notch, from the service to the food. In fact so much, we went back a second night. We are "bar people" for both drinks and food. I have to say our bartender Daniel was probably one of the best bartenders I have ever come across. He was attentive and made some great food recommendations in addition to serving up well crafted cocktails. Will definitely return when in the area.
We had a delicious meal. Ordered the Whole fish Thai style. The pasta was less good but still fine. The menu is interesting and tasty. Our server was outstanding. I would definitely go again.
Oysters are fresh daily and are the best in SRQ. Try the grouper BLT sandwich!
Great food, great service. Pre theatre dinner. Server was attentive and patient. One of my favorite places in Sarasota.
The menu was not what I expected of a fish seafood restaurant. Way too loud to carry on conversation, even though it was not crowded. Staff we encountered were excellent and friendly.
Servers nice a tried hard. Ordered food. After 40 minutes informed they ran out of mussels what my wife ordered. I thought this was poor as we were informed 40 minutes after ordered was taken and I was getting inpatient waiting for food. Hostess did not handled it well. Server did better. My wife ordered and kitchen made It happen with all ordered food served in 2 minutes. The did not charge for my wife’s food. I just added this to my servers tip. Food surprising good. All in all should be a 4 or 5 star event. Gave 2-3. Would have rated higher if hostess made a better effort. Will go again
Great food and service.
Appetizers were absolutely delicious. Halibut entree prepared perfectly. Server very attentive. Wonderful experience.
Enjoyed every bit of our meal at Veronicas. Our server (Dominic) was outstanding, offering up suggestions based on our preferences. Oysters on the night we visited were mostly from the Northeast (Wellfleet, Blue Point, PEI, and Rhode Island) and were as fresh as those we have back home. Additionally, the tuna poke was a strong appetizer, and the octopus greek salad, while a little heavy on red onion, was fantastic. We shared the shrimp & grits & scallops, and enjoyed every bite. Wine selection was broad with some great selections by the glass. We will definitely return next time in Sarasota!
Our dinner was fantastic. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. We were able to dine outdoors as it was a beautiful night. The entire dinner was delicious, but the Octopus "Greek" salad in particular was outstanding. A great experience!
Veronica's is a great new find for us. The food--we had muscles in an orange flavored sauce and used all the bread to dip the sauce. Outstanding dish. For our entree we had the grilled redfish which was perfectly cooked, moist, not salty and easy to serve. We got a whole filet for two people. The grilled Brussels sprouts were slightly dark and just loaded with flavor. Staff were pleasant and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. It's not cheap but you certainly get food value for the money.
I love this restaurant! Great food, great servers, fab ambiance. A true joy every time I drop by for dinner. Delightful!
Professional service. Exceptional presentation!
Excellent food and service. Awesome oysters and shrimp & grits! Looking forward to a return visit.
The food was below average in quality and high in cost. Very noisy. Music loud.
Food was incredible, great selection, Oysters were very fresh and delicious, service was also very good. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.
We had a great dining experience! Gage was our waiter and he was great. We can’t wait to go back.
Nice service, fresh seafood, nice selection of oysters
Our second time at Veronica's and just as good as the first. We enjoyed mussels as an appetizer and two different fish items for dinner. Both of us enjoyed our meal and will return!
Simply charming coastal contemporary ambiance... While the food is good, the fact is that the service is REALLY REALLY GOOD and may have very well overshadowed the kitchen... Happy Hour (while only 5-6pm) offers a great value ($5-$7 food & drink menu)... Having said all that, this place should be on your Sarasota hit list.
