This was our first time that we were able to get a reservation. Everything was great - food, drinks, ambiance, and service. I have to talk about the soup - sweet potato and apple - so good! My husband got the short rib with root vegetables- he loved it even though he doesn’t think he liked root vegetables before. I had the filet - cooked to perfection. Both large plates were recommended by the waiter who was very good. He was knowledgeable about the food and the drinks. We will definitely go back.

I wish you would offer the salmon grain bowl with other options than smoked salmon. I know it is delicious with the smoked salmon and I love it. But I brought a friend who is a real foodie and she had looked at the menu before coming and was planning on having the Salmon Grain Bowl upon my recommendation. However… she doesn’t like smoked flavor…. We asked if she could substitute salmon and was told no. I don’t understand how you can’t do that . It’s such a great dish and I understand the Chef prefers the flavors ( smoked etc) but…. It’s such a great healthy option… I really wish you would offer an alternative. She was really disappointed. Just a suggestion.

If Verbena is associated with Cafe Provence.....they need to upgrade the menu and food to be in the same league as Cafe Provence. It is a lovely dining establishment......but the food is lacking.

The food and service were amazing! Our server Taylor was sweet and was great at make recommendations. The crab fritters were the best we've ever had. The shortribs were a bit salty but still very delicious. Thee stew was my favorite! The peanut butter rice pudding dessert was delicious beyond our expectations.

Our first time to Verbena but definitely not our last. Perfect for an intimate romantic evening. The food was amazing. Had the Parker House Rolls, Liver Pâté, Lobster Roll, Clam Linguini and Carrot Cake with Parsnip all excellent. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. Great service by Cassie. I’m sure lunch on the patio would be delightful when the weather gets warmer. Definitely a great choice for you and the love of your life.

From start to finish, every single aspect of our dinner was fantastic. Our server, Anna, was hilarious. The dinner rolls were amazing, the fois gras was rich and savory, and the scallops were divine. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up so we can try a meal outside. Truly a lovely experience.

Great cocktails. Small plates were very creative. Working Manager was on top of his game, yet our server did not get the dessert choices accurate so we ordered apple cobbler, then saw what the 4 of us really wanted, but didn’t know they had ….. crème brûlée go to the next table. Meal check charged us for 3 desserts when we only had one. We shall try Verbana again and hopefully the service will impress us a little more.
