   Our first try with this restaurant. We came because we absolutely enjoy the Owner’s other restaurants, Cafe Provence  and French Market ( which we LOVE). This is located in a very pleasant Suburban setting. Ambience is nice and the server was terrific. I ordered the Thai coconut milk cod, my portion of fish was smaller than the palm of my hand and was really more of a soup style dish. The flavor was OK, I was definitely a bit letdown on this dish overall and overpriced at $38 (living part time on the East Coast has me biased on Seafood here ). My spouse had the Hand cut linguine with clams and chili flakes. Portion size on that dish was good and he said the flavor was just OK. It definitely needed the chili flakes. Dinner rolls,$9. All fine, but overall, just OK. It’s probably better suited as a lunchtime venue for us, Though, I don’t feel we’ll be back. The outdoor setting overlooking the man-made pond is very sweet. A nice overall choice if you’re in that area .

   Our server, Matthew was very good and the food was very good. We were seated in a high traffic area and I should have asked to move before we were seated.

   It was our first time visiting Verbena and it was wonderful. The ambience, service, and food were great and we’ll definitely be returning.

   Had not been back here for some time, and we were not disappointed. Great food, and Amy did a great job of taking care of us. Would highly recommend this venue for wonderful food and tasty cocktails.

   This is my 2nd dining experience with you in the past several weeks, and I have left both times feeling very disappointed. I previously thought yours was one of the best restaurants in town, but my opinion is definitely changing. The menu has left me cold, the food selected has been just OK, the service has been average at best, the volume too loud, and the price very high for what you get. I hope you can return it to the quality and experience it was previously - I would like to say it’s one of my favorites again!

   The food was well prepared, the wine service bad. Bringing the poured wine in a small carafe is tacky and the choice of bread is bad and expensive. The sauce for the cod was soupy. A no no for fish. On the other hand, the clam chowder was just right. This a prime example why a good potential setting can be spoiled by bad attention to details.

   This was our 25th wedding anniversary and we chose Verbena as our place to celebrate. What a great choice! Everything from service, ambience to food and drink was simply perfect! Thank you for the memories. We will be back often.

    Always good food always friendly service.  Ariel Comfortable ambience. the poached cod with veggies and mussels was the best I’ve have had since Portugal
