The food is excellent in both taste and appearance, the wine and cocktail menu is great! We shared a bottle of Sancerre, oysters, the duck for two, and for dessert we shared the soufflé and the pistachio cake. We were particularly impressed with the duck and the soufflé! Service was outstanding. The ambiance is really nice, except that if the bar area is busy and loud, which it was for part of the time we were there (which coincided with happy hour), that bleeds into the rest of the dining room since there is no physical separation. That's really the only negative thing I could say. After happy hour, it was quite nice. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had a really lovely dinner here, and the food was excellent. She had the beef short rib bourguignon and I had the filet au poivre. The lemon poppyseed soufflé was very good

Food is great, but we felt pretty deceived. Before booking I called to ask if they still did their Wednesday night prix fixe "date night" menu and I was told yes, they did. When we arrived, we were not given the date night menu, so we asked for it and were told they don't do it anymore. It felt like we were intentionally deceived to get us in the door just to have the rug pulled out from under us so we're forced to pay twice as much for the same meal. Additionally, our waiter's communication skills were not great, which, paired with the loud music, we were duped into ordering water when we wanted tap. Really disappointing since this used to be a go-to for birthdays, brunch, and date nights. Not sure that I'll come back now with the deception and slip in quality of service.

Server never followed up once food was delivered. Finally came to the table once we were obviously scanning the room and he asked if we had gotten our food yet, even though we had already finished our meal. Food was bland and not on par with the price. For a Michelin restaurant, I expected more.

Our server forgot our entrees! After we finished our appetizers, he took away our plates. Initially we thought he just wanted to give us new clean plates for our entrees. But when he replaced them with dessert plates, we stopped him and reminded him that none of our entrees were served yet. He did not apologize and simply said OK and took away our dessert plates. While we are waiting patiently for our entrees, another server brought us the dessert! At that point I was speechless.

Terrrrrrible service! I’m so sad because it is an absolutely adorable place! Food was absolutely not worth the price! I got the short rib and it was like eating bits of beef jerky ontop of pasta. We also got the roasted chicken and it was just ok. Baked Brie at beginning was nothing special and our wine was not great and $$$ per glass! So needless to say so sad it was not great for such a beautiful venu

Let's start out with the good: The short rib pappardelle was very good. Almost enough to make me come back. Almost. The shrimp cocktail was good but let's be honest--all you really need to make a good shrimp cocktail is large fresh shrimp. Check. Now the not so good: The frisee salad was drenched in salad dressing. Clearly the junior chef in the kitchen has not been given training. The service was about the level you would expect at an Applebees which is fine if you are going to Applebees. It didn't feel as if anybody in the front of the house had been given any guidance as to what was their job and how to do it. It seemed like this was their first job in a restaurant. For the prices at Venteux, I think it is fair to expect more.

So I am doing one star but unfortunately I would give 0 if I could. Here is the rundown. I was really looking forward to going to French restaurant with seafood tower. We are regulars as several but none have those. We arrived 20 Minutes early, our fault but restaurant was not busy so we were seated. We’re given drink menus and the gentleman serving water gave us our request of bottle of sparkling water. For next 35 minutes no one came to our table, even though we were doing our best to show we were interested ( not going to beg for Service). Countless waiters took orders from tables around us, hostess walked by us and looked at our table at least three times, and what looked like floor manager walked by us at least three times as well. Low Down, threw 6$ on table and left. Paid 35$ for Parking around corner ( 41$ for sparkling water at this point) Went to Bistronomic and had awesome time as always. A bit shameful for downtown restaurant to treat their new customers this way. Was looking forward to their meal, but got literally nothing. Oh except them telling open table we were no show. Seriously???

Came for bottomless brunch! It wasn’t too busy and the deal is great. However, server rarely came to the table for us to get more than two drinks in an hour. Brie and Steak Tartare was great!

It was quiet and our server was attentive. It was not busy when we went. Food was tasty and just the right amount. I was able to finish all of my meal and have room for dessert, which was equally good.

Very gracious and pleasant hostess and waitresses. Elegant ambience, very comfortable and luxurious booth seating. Beautiful decor fitting very well with the architecture of the building. Excellent desserts and coffee.

venteux for the breakfast , for 2 French as us in wonderful , but the brasserie used French terms , absolutely not in concern with the real recipe , for example , there is not HARISSA , ant not Potatoes in a ratatouille even if its good , using these terms , deceive the customer expecting a French ratatouille , same remark for the tarte flambée , noting to see with a real tarte flambée , and here too , even if the tarte flambée was good we will return to this restaurant , of course

Four of us had dinner after an evening event and found it delightful. It was tuesday oyster night - $1.50 per -- for really tasty east coast oysters; three of us followed up with moules frites and one had trout almandine. The frites were excellent--skinny and crisp and the mussels were really fresh. The trout was also very good. We didn't know what to expect from this hotel restaurant but we we'll be back soon to try more French inspired cuisine.

We absolutely LOVE the food at Venteux but have felt the service lacking the fast few times we have been. Items our group has ordered were missed, drinks forgotten about, and just overall lackluster service for a very expensive meal.

A nice restaurant and overall dining experience. The one gripe I had was their online menu and the kiosk menu outside the restaurant showed vaious dacquoise/ mousse desserts, but when our dessert menu came out, after the meal, a completely different set of desserts were available to us. None of which were dacquoise/ mousse. Was told that those desserts were only available for lunch but not dinner. We ordered all the available desserts, and grazed over them all. They were averge. Nothing really stood out to me. Except some smoked cherry wood thing. The smoke completley overpowered the taste of the dish. Visually it was stunning, but taste wise, I did not care for it.

Disappointing overall, though they have potential. Staff seems new, eager to please, and untrained. E.g. they couldn't figure out how to apply our gift certificate to our bill; it actually took more than 30 minutes for us to settle our bill (to atone for that, they waived our corkage fee). The tables need white table cloths, both to align the ambience with the prices, and to dampen the noise. Our seafood platter was excellent, the papardelli good, the frisbee salad ok. Hopefully they'll improve.

Wonderful food, though (wait for it . . . ) the portions were too large! The cocktails were creative and delicious. Our server was excellent. The ambience was quiet, but that was probably because it was a weeknight evening -- I can imagine it might be noisy on weekends. But overall a great experience.

came here on a early Sunday morning. I ordered the sparkling latte, warm bagette, sausage and marble potatoes. Overall everything was fresh and tasty. Bread was soft sausage well seasoned. Potatoes very goog soft and crispy.
