Urge American Gastropub is a restaurant and whiskey bar in the Oceanside area of San Diego. Modern lighting fixtures and décor create a unique and exciting eatery. Terrible service; if you're going to include bratwurst, at least have a recipe that's better than what one can do at home.

I realize they were closing permanently this weekend, but considering they have other locations, I thought there would be more effort to give a great final dining experience to their local Ocranside patrons. Service was poor, took nearly 20 min. to place a drink order and our food was not even prepared to our order (well done burger when we asked for medium rare). I doubt we will visit any other Urge locations following that.

I really like urge! The food and drinks are good and the service is good too. I wouldn’t say the menu is anything special but for my husband and I’s weekly date night it is a favorite :)

Excellent Sunday brunch. Food was excellent and ambiance is nice. Service was spotty with water glasses not being refilled for too long. That did not detract from nice experience.

Our waiter, Colin I think, was great. He was very personable, attentive and friendly. The music was too loud for us and he had it turned down. 👍
