The al fresco rooftop setting, coupled with an interior featuring large picture windows, boasts spectacular vistas that transform throughout the day as the vivid blue skies transform into magnificent sunsets and starry nights. UP on the Roof’s unique aesthetic juxtaposes the natural beauty of the Reedy River and the Blue Ridge Mountains with an industrial chic décor and contemporary seating areas designed with the panoramic views in mind.
Located on the 8th floor of the Embassy Suites at RiverPlace, guests may conveniently access UP on the Roof via the elevators in the hotel lobby.

No social distancing with tables and we were sat right by the people next to us even though there was an empty table one table over the whole time we were there. We asked to move and were told we couldn't

I was disappointed that they did not have heaters around every table. It was a rather chilly night and I assumed an upscale outdoor dining experience would have heaters for all the tables. The food was good; however, I felt it was more tapas and appetizer like. Not a good choice if you want a hearty sit down meal.

Food was delicious, although for the price of the charcuterie board, I expected a lot more meats and cheeses. There was only a tiny portion of honey and zero fruit. I believe we paid $28 for the small charcuterie board we received, and the taste and/or options did not match that price.

Despite having an ample number of space to distance the different tables, everyone was seated close together. There was a large party seated next to us that was so close my chair almost touched the people behind me. That group consumed most of our waitress’ attention once there and was so loud there were times I had trouble hearing my friend speak. Great venue otherwise and the food is typically excellent.

No one came to help us when seated. We wanted to moved to another side of the rooftop where there was only one group of people seated. Our hostess never came back, so we left after about 15 min.
Oddly enough, we were the only African Americans there. Makes you wonder ....

Had to wait 20 minutes even though we had a reservation. Tried to put us outside where it was cold, windy, and wet. Not a nice dining experience, the heaters do not keep up. The people sitting out there were in winter coats. There were open tables inside and we asked to be seated at one and were not allowed. It was already 8pm so I doubt they were going to be used. We left.

A little more on the pricey side, and definitely not somewhere to go if you are a picky eater. The food though is outstanding, and comes with in a timely manner. I highly recommend the Apple Pie Eggrolls!

Took my wife and daughter out for an early Valentines Day lunch. Food was awesome...there was just not enough of it. I ordered the Jumbo scallops “Benedict”. For the money, I wish there was were one more on my plate.

This was our second time eating here. The food is always phenomenal. It never disappoints. I had the bbq grouper and grits. Delicious 😋 I even tried my nephews lobster ravioli it was sooo good.

When we got to the restaurant, they walked us to “our table” and there was not a table available. We stood there while they walked around trying to look for a spot, then told us we could split our party into 2 tables of 4 which didn’t not work for us. Ended up in the bar area and made the best of it. Super disappointed that our reservation was not honored.

My best girl friend and I came here to celebrate my engagement. We did brunch and bottomless mimosas. Our server checked on us often, brought refills timely and without being asked, and was very good at recommendations from the menu. We had a great time and will be back again. Only point of improvement would have been if they closed the door to the far patio. The servers had it propped open for some unknown reason and it made many of the patrons cold. Eventually someone spoke up and it was closed - right before we left. Did not overshadow our wonderful experience.

We didn't really like the food. The atmosphere was fun though. But we were concerned about the waitress, she just seemed really off like she was sick or on something.

I recommend UP on the ROOF and will be going back! Although we liked some dishes significantly more than others, the rotating menu is an interesting concept and there is bound to be something on the menu for everyone. We had a delicious plant based meal! The service was kind and friendly, although a little slow. I love the atmosphere and views, and the prices are extremely fair for the food.

Love this place ! The nachos and burger is great ... service was good just a little spotty as it was a weekend . Overall def a must try when in Greenville for dinner or just cocktails can’t beat the wonderful view and atmosphere

Our experience was wonderful beginning to end. Shout out to Savannah for the awesome service! Menu provides a great selection of creative dishes and options for all dietary preferences - and the food is delicious! They also have a great wine and beer list, as well as craft cocktails. The ambiance within the bar and indoor dining are cool and casual - and the view from the outdoor patio is amazing. One of our new favorite spots in the city.

The only available seating online was the standard seating, so I chose that. I went into this fine with the fairly higher prices of the items, knowing that the restaurant is very nice with the nice view as well. However, when we got there, we (2) were sat at a table on the ground head level with the ledge of the window, one seat was adjacent to the wall the window was on. So, yes I was a little disappointed that I had to look at the brick wall all night.
