We had a reservation and still waited 25 minutes for 2 high chairs for our planned Brunch and Santa visit. Very bad planning on the Management to only have 2 high chairs for children when they had to know that families with toddlers would be coming to the event. My burger was burnt but still had a good flavor. The waitress did not offer to have the kitchen staff cook me another one.

I wish I could give more stars for the service and the ambience. Our server was Hannah J and she just really put our experience over the top! Threw food was exquisite and the presentation was beautiful. This was our first visit to Up on the Roof, but we are already planning our next visit. It's nice they are open for business during the holidays.

Not kid friendly. Was denied a different table because I didn’t reserve a specific table. It was never an option when I reserved a table. They completely messed up my mom’s 50the bday and didn’t even sing for her. Plenty of better places to visit than this dump who’s waitresses don’t even know what they have available or not to eat.

Our server was very pleasant and attentive. We sat outside and enjoyed the ambiance although I must note that the tables were closer together than I would have expected in a pandemic situation. My daughter said the brussels sprouts were very good. My wreckfish was good although I didn't like the acidity of the chutney with it, but that is personal preference. We both also got the maple glazed roasted root vegetables which were a disappointment as they were cold, overly sweet and undercooked.

We requested outdoor eating. I wish we had been forewarned that there was a private party in the outdoor dining area and we ended in the outdoor bar area with a younger crowd, loud music and a view of Academy Street rather than downtown.

At first, I can say that it is frustrating to make a reservation for a time, you arrive on time and the desired table does not exist (outside area). After more than 30 minutes, after insisting a lot we got the reserved table. Bad service because the waitress simply disappeared to the point of getting up so she could look for her to take the desired orders (this person asked the waitress to take our orders - that's how she appeared). Worse, I wanted a certain cocktail (over - sir), if you asked for 2 more bites and the answer was the same (over - sir). I had to drink ipa beer (which was good). my wife ordered a risotto that did not please (the last time we went to this establishment - 10 months ago - the menu was different and the food was better. Finally, I can say that the place is still very beautiful, the price is a bit high due to the experience offered and regrettable the bad standard of service, the lack of innumerable menu items and the lack of respect for not respecting the table reservation made. I am not encouraged to return!

While our waitress and the ambiance were great there were several aspects of the restaurant that left much to be desired. First, there was little compliance with website and Facebook postings that clearly state this restaurant requires face masks when not seated or eating. Second, we went secured a reservation so as to avoid waiting in crowded spaces and yet when we arrived we were told by hostesses that our reservation was not secure. The explanation given was that any "patio seating was a first come first serve basis." However, the OpenTable reservations clearly differentiate patio or inside as options. This was terribly disappointing especially as we ended up waiting over 30 minutes for a table. Had it not already been so late we would have gone somewhere else and from now on plan to do so.

The staff was very inconsiderate. I was highly disappointed in the customer service. Perhaps we just got an off night. The manager was extremely friendly and the food was ok. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place for families with young kids even if you go for an early dinner

Had no heads up that as international you need your passport and not just your id. Poorly managed and unfairly treated. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone who is international looking for a drink. Very upset with my visit

The view is awesome, but the food was horrible. The charcuterie plate is $28 and i would've been happier with a lunchables box from 7 eleven. Then i had the smoked octopus souffle, tasted like lukewarm grits mixed with mustard with 2 rubbery strips of cold octopus. My wife got the crab cake, it was cold and flavorless. It's ashame to have such a beautiful location but have such poor quality food.

We went to celebrate my mother’s 86th birthday and what a disappointment. While the food was good the horrible service we received put a huge damper on the day. We would ask for refills or a specific item and either they would arrive 30 minutes later or we would never receive them. Once our food finally arrived part of it was incorrect and we had to wait another 10 minutes for silverware and condiments.

Food was great but patio was wayyyy more crowded than past visits.
Music was horrendously loud and MULTIPLE tables complained. Music would be turned to down for a few minutes and then cranked even louder. Could not hear my table guest when yelling in their ear. We asked to speak to the manager and he/she would not come by.
Service was very slow and waitress was sweet but forgot things. Wrong food kept being brought to our table. Seems possibly too many tables for the staff to handle or keep straight.
Have loved this place in the past. Not so this time.

Of all of the reviews I have done, I have never given a POOR review. The first problem I had was with the reservation. I requested outdoor (via OpenTable) and as soon as we checked in, I was told no outdoor dinning. I explained that we have confirmation from OpenTable that we requested outdoor and the hostess stated that we did not and they had no record of it. I showed the OpenTable email (that stated outdoor dinning) and I just got a blank stare from the hostess. While we sat inside I saw many groups head for outdoor dinning. For the entrees they all did not come out the same time. Server was not the fault but we only received 4 of the 8 entrees than 15/20 minutes later the other 4. Just a mess. I figure this place has poor and/or inexperienced management that works the seating however they want, even if OpenTable has you reserved for outdoor dinning. The kitchen has no quality control oversite. So if you want to take a risk and maybe be the one out of 100 that this happens to than go there. If not, there are other outstanding places in Greenville that have more dedication that this place.

While the food was above average, the service was poor at best. We went most of our meal without a refill of our water or our beers. The manager noticed and said he would personally see to it the rest of our meal went well. He then proceeded to disappear and not be seen again for the final 45 minutes we were at the restaurant.
