In 1943, on the corner of Ohio and Wabash in downtown Chicago, Uno Founders, Ike Sewell and Ric Riccardo, created the original and legendary Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza. They combined authentic Italian recipes with the finest meats, spices, vegetables and cheeses and baked them in a unique and delicious deep dish crust, creating a hearty pizza like no other. Today, Uno’s Deep Dish Pizza is still made as it was then, with dough made fresh daily, hand stretched and covered with meats, hand-cut vegetables and freshly shredded mozzarella cheese. As a visitor from abroad I needed to make a reservation for Thanksgiving as most places were closed. Open Table found me a place at Uno's and I drove a distance to find that the restaurant was closed for the holiday. I'll never use Open Table again.

We dine here annually when in town. It never disappoints. The hostess accommodates our large group of about ten people; we make a reservation in advance. Overall, we enjoy Unos very much.

We had reservations that i made a week in advance, four people, 6:30 pm on the Monday of Labor Day weekend. The parking lot was mostly empty. We have eaten at this restaurant before and had a great experience. When we arrived the hostess greeted us as if she was annoyed that we were there. The inside was clean, nice, quiet, and sparsely populated. She proceeded to seat us in a booth right at the exit for the kitchen, in the bowels of the restaurant. It was empty and we had a reservation. Odd. I asked for a seat in any if the other available areas. She claimed those sections were “closed.” We were then seated in a booth kore in the middle. The food was fine. The service was ok. The hostess was incapable.

There was low traffic and sometimes that can doom an experience. It was the contrary in this case. Servers were attentive. The food was prepared and presented exceptionally. The experience was worthy of the Uno name and rich history . I have been to the original locations in Chi and this experience did them Justice .

The super pepperoni was huge. Fed all of us. We also got two deep dish pizzas. Both were cheese and meaty, with really nice breading. Make sure you try the cookie skillet for dessert - gooey and soft. Yum! Nice service.

Rushed service, our food came out and 10 mins into eating our server asked if we wanted boxes for our food we said no we are eating and then she came back with the check(we didn’t ask for) we weren’t offered dessert or another drink. This was 8pm on a Sunday on international drive. Food was lovely and would have been better if we got to enjoy it.

The Salmon was very dry and over cooked. I couldn't eat it. Manager agreed to remove it from our bill which I thought was a no brainer. My husband enjoyed the deep dish pizza.

Our pizza had to be sent back because it came out soggy with a puddle of liquid in the center of it. My daughter ordered an appetizer for her meal and it came out first, after specifically stating it was her entrée, and the entrées didn’t come out until almost 20 minutes later. She ordered a brownie sundae for dessert and it was so hard she had to chisel it with a knife to be able to eat it. The staff however, was super kind and accommodating. The food was pretty nasty though. Hopefully it was just an off night in the back of the house.
