   I really enjoyed my visit to the University Club. The buffet-style presentation was immaculate, and the food was fresh and delicious. Service was attentive but not intrusive. I look forward to my next meal at the University Club!

   Our group had a wonderful and productive lunch meeting at the U-Club. The staff is amazing. The salad and cream puffs were amazing. It was rejuvenating to enjoy a high-end treat at a remarkable price and feel so welcome. Thank you for this much-needed self-care opportunity.

   The University Club, as a dining experience, provides what one might call a cozy atmosphere, with excellent, attentive staff and a rotating menu that provides good options for the omnivore, and decent options for the vegetarian. There is always soup and salad if you are looking for lighter fare than the mains, and both are generally fresh, though the soup is not always vegetarian. However, as a place to gather and exchange ideas or develop collaborations, it is seriously lacking. The inability to have spontaneous encounters due to a need to reserve AND PAY in advance severely limits who is willing to consider the UClub as an option on any given day. The Meet and Eat rate of $11 is an excellent value, while the "normal" price, having risen to $19, is harder to stomach, especially when there are no refunds after 3 DAYS advance cancellation, thus severely limiting who is willing to make a reservation more than a day or a few hours in advance. These issues also minimize the utility of the space as a place of community where faculty and staff may gather and share a meal - an activity which has been shown through decades of research to provide improved opportunities both for building trust, and thus community, but also to greatly enhance collaboration and outside the box (or in AU's case the silo) thinking.

   Tracy is great, and it's a cozy space. I wish they accepted Eaglebucks or any of the Faculty Dining plans.
