Our host was wonderful. Food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back
Best friends birthday
Not an Italian restaurant! The food correct but not more .
The decoration needs to be reviewed it’s back dated!
Uncle Tony's used to be my absolute favourite Italian restaurant in Toronto and I wanted to take my daughter as a treat before she starts school!
Very disappointed. I guess the ownership and management has changed. The food was meh. Nothing compared to before. The Caprese salad was literally my addiction and after ordering it last night, I'm totally turned off. The bruschetta wasn't great and their vodka penne pasta was bland and again meh. It's too bad that everything at UT's has just become meh. In a city like Toronto with amazing restaurants and food options, a once stellar destination Italian restaurant has become forgettable. Disappointed
Amazing food and great hospitality!
The food at uncle Tony’s was outstanding! Prompt service and our food came right away. We were seated outside and had the perfect setting - people watching and a free concert of classical guitar music from across the street at the park. We had gnocchi and 4 cheese pizza. I’d definitely go back.
Delicious!!!!! My kids favorite and ours too!
A great italian food spot that has excellent service and food.
Food ok nothing to write home about.
Expected an authentic experience. Low value for money IMO. Near a club with club patrons constantly walking by (depending on day/time).
Nice little restaurant. We wanted something other than a chain restaurant and found it here. Had bruschetta (loved the flat bread used), gnocchi, penne pesto, and rigatoni and it was all delicious. Service was quick and efficient without feeling rushed. Atmosphere was nice. The teenagers enjoyed it too. Will have to go back again to try the pizzas.
The arancini from the special menu were fantastic and were purple inside (I think the rice was cooked in beet juice). The Fat Tony's Pizza was a little oily, but still tasty. Not a lot of gamberoni in the rapini/gamberoni pasta dish, but again, tasty.
Generally it was a fine evening and so nice to be outside...I was surprised that the brushetta (which was good but could use more basil) was served on texas toast. The tiramisu was a complete disappointment (I don't think there was a lady finger to be found and the dusting of cacoa was way too thick and overpowered the custard).
Second time visiting Tony’s … last time we sat in patio snd had a great meal and this time we were inside .
Great atmosphere / a really cozy place .
We had an amazing dinner and service was great .
the place is fine. i wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again. The service was really good but the food was ok. it's a pretty large menu for such a small place.
They were able to take a last-minute booking and get us seated in a private booth. The food was pretty good, and the ambiance was excellent.
Had the most amazing waiter. I believe his name was Sunny. He was so friendly and funny and attended to us in the perfect way! 10/10 food and 10/10 service. Can’t wait to come back!
Gnocchi was really doughy, expensive food that tasted badly
Go to Uncle Tony's for classic fresh Italian dishes and stay for the hospitality!
The service was really bad.
It was starting to rain, there were tables available inside, but they didn’t allow us (with 3 kids) to come indoors.
It took forever for our food to arrive at our table (all other tables who arrived after us had their food before us)!
Wonderful service and food!
The food was delicious and the service was great!
Good linguini. Lots of mosquitoes due to dining outdoors
Nice outdoor patio, friendly staff, great food!
won't return.. not good. we read reviews before, won't return. many much better than this place
Lucky to snag a reservation here this evening. The side walk set up was as best as one could expect given the Covid regulations. The park across the street had a live mic which provided lovely added ambiance.
Our server was attentive, helpful with recommendations, and as nice as could be!!!!
My husband had the caprese salad to start and then a pasta dish, both of which he thoroughly enjoyed.
I had Nonna’s meatballs which were served hot and oh so delicious. To follow was Tony’s pizza with a too die for crust and amazing sauce and toppings.
Excellent service, excellent meal. Highly recommend this little downtown gem!!!!
I am so glad we got a reservation here. We booked late - it’s covid and only patios are open so they are all booked - this was one of the few places avail for a table of 4 and we took it. I didn’t know what to expect - it was lovely. Across the street is a park and live music graced our evening. The food was very good - authentic Italian. The mushroom pizza was delicious with truffle oil delighting my senses. My daughter loved the veal. We ordered several appetizers for the table and they were all good. Service was good. They brought out a slice of cheesecake for my niece to celebrate her birthday - such a nice gesture and she loved it.
So if you’re out for a casual night just enjoying your peeps, thinking - never heard of it, not sure - just go - food is great, service is great and if you can get a patio spot- well, lucky you.
The owner of this restaurant is very confrontational and has quite a chip on his shoulder. Food is mediocre and our waiter was okay. The veal Parmesan came with a side spaghetti and I requested carbonara. They charged me for a full order when it was obviously a side portion without telling me in advance.
Don't waste your money and head over to Fieramosca on Prince Arthur for an elegant dining experience for the same price.
This guy doesn't deserve to be in business.
Bye bye Uncle Tony!
Inexplicably rude service from the manager. They would not let us order until our full party arrived, one of the guests was 5 minutes late. Even though the patio was half full and had zero foot traffic, the manager kept stating that it was busy and if the 3rd wasn't arriving he would move us to a smaller table. We offered to order their meal in advance if it was a problem and the manager said that he "would rather have empty tables than to accommodate" and that this mentality was standard in the business which is simply untrue. As a result we just left and found a place across the street that went over and above to accommodate us even though they were fully booked.
Great food. We had riceballs, salad pizza, lots of wine. We ate too much to order dessert. But I really wanted to try the Creme Brulee. Next time!
Overall it was s mist wonderful meal.
Fast and courteous service. Food was good, and the secret hot sauce was fantacstic
The staff are hilarious, and the owner is out of this world funny 🤣 really made our night.
Tip: don’t be even a minute late for your reservation!!
I had book a reservation at 8:45. I arrived on time and had to wait without the server acknowledging us for 20 minutes . And then they acknowledge us was to tell us to essentially go somewhere else and it doesn’t matter that we had a reservation because they just cannot accept us. Why put availability on open table when you can’t serve us?
And they told us if we want to complain complain to the owner who’s cooking lol
Super disappointing honestly
Does not honour reservations. They basically said they were overbooked and that I was just out of luck. They even had the gall to blame be for "not booking early enough"!!!
We didn’t even get to eat. When we went at our reservation time the person there told us that the chef quit and the food is over.
Very good food. Very nice staff providing an excellent and friendly service.
It was so lovely to be at Uncle Tony’s. My girl friend and I loved the ambiance, our server and most definitely the food.
Food was unimpressive an on the expensive side. I had sea food risotto and I'm pretty sure the mussels were bad
Great meal great service
