The food was delicious and the service was great!
Good linguini. Lots of mosquitoes due to dining outdoors
Nice outdoor patio, friendly staff, great food!
won't return.. not good. we read reviews before, won't return. many much better than this place
Lucky to snag a reservation here this evening. The side walk set up was as best as one could expect given the Covid regulations. The park across the street had a live mic which provided lovely added ambiance.
Our server was attentive, helpful with recommendations, and as nice as could be!!!!
My husband had the caprese salad to start and then a pasta dish, both of which he thoroughly enjoyed.
I had Nonna’s meatballs which were served hot and oh so delicious. To follow was Tony’s pizza with a too die for crust and amazing sauce and toppings.
Excellent service, excellent meal. Highly recommend this little downtown gem!!!!
I am so glad we got a reservation here. We booked late - it’s covid and only patios are open so they are all booked - this was one of the few places avail for a table of 4 and we took it. I didn’t know what to expect - it was lovely. Across the street is a park and live music graced our evening. The food was very good - authentic Italian. The mushroom pizza was delicious with truffle oil delighting my senses. My daughter loved the veal. We ordered several appetizers for the table and they were all good. Service was good. They brought out a slice of cheesecake for my niece to celebrate her birthday - such a nice gesture and she loved it.
So if you’re out for a casual night just enjoying your peeps, thinking - never heard of it, not sure - just go - food is great, service is great and if you can get a patio spot- well, lucky you.
The owner of this restaurant is very confrontational and has quite a chip on his shoulder. Food is mediocre and our waiter was okay. The veal Parmesan came with a side spaghetti and I requested carbonara. They charged me for a full order when it was obviously a side portion without telling me in advance.
Don't waste your money and head over to Fieramosca on Prince Arthur for an elegant dining experience for the same price.
This guy doesn't deserve to be in business.
Bye bye Uncle Tony!
Inexplicably rude service from the manager. They would not let us order until our full party arrived, one of the guests was 5 minutes late. Even though the patio was half full and had zero foot traffic, the manager kept stating that it was busy and if the 3rd wasn't arriving he would move us to a smaller table. We offered to order their meal in advance if it was a problem and the manager said that he "would rather have empty tables than to accommodate" and that this mentality was standard in the business which is simply untrue. As a result we just left and found a place across the street that went over and above to accommodate us even though they were fully booked.
Great food. We had riceballs, salad pizza, lots of wine. We ate too much to order dessert. But I really wanted to try the Creme Brulee. Next time!
Overall it was s mist wonderful meal.
Fast and courteous service. Food was good, and the secret hot sauce was fantacstic
The staff are hilarious, and the owner is out of this world funny 🤣 really made our night.
Tip: don’t be even a minute late for your reservation!!
I had book a reservation at 8:45. I arrived on time and had to wait without the server acknowledging us for 20 minutes . And then they acknowledge us was to tell us to essentially go somewhere else and it doesn’t matter that we had a reservation because they just cannot accept us. Why put availability on open table when you can’t serve us?
And they told us if we want to complain complain to the owner who’s cooking lol
Super disappointing honestly
Does not honour reservations. They basically said they were overbooked and that I was just out of luck. They even had the gall to blame be for "not booking early enough"!!!
We didn’t even get to eat. When we went at our reservation time the person there told us that the chef quit and the food is over.
Very good food. Very nice staff providing an excellent and friendly service.
It was so lovely to be at Uncle Tony’s. My girl friend and I loved the ambiance, our server and most definitely the food.
Food was unimpressive an on the expensive side. I had sea food risotto and I'm pretty sure the mussels were bad
Great meal great service
Food and service were amazing! Across from the park on a less busy street. A hidden gem
We had a great time- food was amazing, so was the service. I thought eating outside in the rain wasn’t going to be pleasant but the restaurant had umbrellas and it was actually a beautiful evening. The staff was lovely and made us feel comfortable and taken care of. They also made sure everything was nut free for me as I have an allergy.
So good! The food was amazing and the owner is such a nice guy. Very involved in the service.
Fantastic wait staff provided excellent service! Food was also impeccable!
If you're a fan of seafood or calamari, don't order it here.
The pasta was good and the sauce was excellent.
Great spot, attentive service, and good food. Would return!
They were closed when we arrived, 10 minutes early to the reservation might I add. The google map location was slightly off so we thought perhaps we were at the wrong location but after going to where the map indicated the location was there was no secondary location. So we went back and knocked but no one was there. They may be closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but if that is the case then they should remove themselves from being available to book on open table. We travelled quite a distance to make this reservation so it was very disappointing.
The food was excellent, the service was phenomenal, I would definitely go back and recommend it to friends.
The food was amazing! Would def come back very soon.
Amazing in every way.
Good meal. Very good, friendly service.
I frequent this place with friends, family, and girlfriend often for a reason. Amazing food and atmosphere minus the pretentious-ness of other Italian spots. Went recently and the new patio is a must visit!
The food was great. Really enjoyed the pasta and pizza bread.
Adorable intimate restaurant, server was so friendly and the food was incredible! One of my new favourite places!
How was uncle Tony’s? It wasn’t. We got there at the time of the reservation and the restaurant was closed. Drive and parking for nothing.
Lunch at Terroni was pretty good though
Amazing pasta selections and pizza. Fairly priced and great service. Will come back again.
Excellent food, the pizza in particular is outstanding.
Great ambience in this little restaurant. Unfortunately we found everything to be average in regards to quality and presentation of the food. Apps, entrees and desserts were all just ok. Server was friendly but not very attentive.
Maybe we would go back for a drink but too many good places in Toronto that serve better quality pasta if we were to go for dinner.
UncleTony’s is a go-to for me because of the comfortable atmosphere, delicious food and consistently good and friendly service.
The food was flavorful, but the pizza had too much cheese for thin crust. Made it soggy. Something also was obviously burned and smoke filled the entire restaurant, it was so hard to breathe. We had to ask the waiter to open the door. I'd go back again, though. Great prices. Cute decor. The agnolotti was the best I've ever eaten.
