Umami Burger - Hollywood
Fri, Sat 11:30 am–12:00 am
Ordered a sampler and cheese tots. Burgers were ok but cheese tots were to dye for. I highly recommend it
Come for the impossible burger. Skip the special sauce.
What a great place to go to on a weekday afternoon! Had such a great time and the food was DELICIOUS. Our server was super nice and attentive! Food quality was great and I will definitely be back!
Great food and service.
Service was stellar, loved the food. Quick and delicious late night option on a Saturday.
The music was too loud and we couldn’t talk amongst our table of five.
Great food and great service
Great place to grab a drink, have great food, and catch up with friends. The menu is friendly to vegetarian options as well, which was important to my friend. The burgers were reasonably priced considering being in LA/heart of Hollywood. The burgers lived up to their umami name and came with delicious sauces. The location of this particular Umami Burger was perfect as it was only a few blocks from the sights at Hollywood Blvd. Would return!
I've been to several Umami Burgers and this one did not disappoint in the way of taste & flavor. I'm happy that they have a few more Impossible Burger options now. Everyone in my party really liked their meal. The service, however, is lacking. It took at least 20 minutes before any food came out at all. We never did receive the tray of sauces, and it was towards the end of the meal that I realized we did not get it. No sooner did we receive our salads did all the burgers come. The timing of the food was not good at all. There should be a timely gap between appetizers/salads and entrees. We also didn't get the cheesy tots until towards the end of the meal.
The burgers were delicious; many beer choices. Friendly service
Terrible service did not have a host did not get food on time and just overall bad experience
Great food as always. On this night it was very busy so service was a little slow. Love Umami Burger!🍔
The impossible burger was amazing. I would definitely get it repeatedly.
A definite redo. Loved the Impossible burger.
Not great. They didn't have enough servers (our server told us that) and so we never really had anything we needed. They were out of most of the beer due to some error, we hate to wait forever for our sauces and our apps got cold. Our server was trying to keep up, not really his fault and I think he did his best, but were left having to track people.down for refills, the check etc. We sat there for half an hour waiting for out check in the end. That's nuts.
To top it all off, they didn't check me in under my reservation (also didn't honor my seating request even though it wasn't busy yet) so I got a notice from Open Table that I had been a no show. That was the nail in the coffin for me, I won't be back and won't recommend this location.
Food was good. Service was great.
The service was terrible the night we were there. Our waitress barely checked on us and our order took forever. They brought out the french fries first long before the burgers. We ordered brussel sprouts and we realized that they had bacon in them so some of us couldn't eat them because they don't eat meat. The manager offered to have them made without the bacon which was very nice but when they arrived there were huge chunks of bacon in them and the vegetarians unknowingly ate them. Just shoddy all around.
We had a large party of 10, and arrive an hour early. They accommodated us as quickly as they could. They hostess staff was very pleasant and accessible. The waiters were knowledgeable and gave great recommendation to the party of picky eaters.
The overall thought from the table was that they were very good burgers. Even the pickiest person stated they appreciated that they made the burger the way he wanted.
Great drinks were wonderful. Especially the Maple Bacon Old Fashion.
The service was great from each employee that we encountered. Our food was mostly absolutely delicious; there was just one side that didn't live up to description. The umami burger, brussel sprouts, and sweet potato fries were awesome. I was disappointed in my cocktail; although it was tasty, it tasted like they forgot the alcohol and it was just ginger soda (and it was expensive at that). Overall, I'd certainly recommend it and would come again.
The venue was nice. Located in an inner alley with outside eating options. We had theatre tickets for a show that started at 1:00pm and this place was an excellent option pre theatre. Food arrived promptly and very tasty. Great vegetarian options.
I decided to spend my birthday with two friends at Umami to enjoy an impossible burger. Our waitress was so sweet and brought me a nice dessert and was very attentive. It's not "fancy", but it did the job with delicious food and drinks. The Cheese tots are STUPID amazing.
The staff are very friendly and the service was great. The food was also delicious, although I’ve been to this restaurant twice and it wasn’t consistent in the plating up and presentation- neither bad, just different.
I’m a vegan and went for the impossible burger which was delicious but I was a little disappointed not to have a my Burger in vegan bun and wrapped in lettuce instead. Other than that it was all lovely and the edamame are the best I’ve ever tasted.
I ate the cheesy tater tots. YUM!
They messed up our order. Served us margaritas with no ice and I haven’t received my points for the reservation. They never apologized or acknowledged any wrong doing.
I’ve heard good things and now I know why. The truffle burger was delicious as were the truffle fries. I didn’t know what to expect ambiance wise frankly there isn’t any. But there is a full bar so I can accept lack of ambiance.
Great food and experience.
I was so happy to see that they had the "Impossible Burger" on their menu! Although I"m not a vegetarian, I wanted to try it. My friend got the regular burger. At first bite, my Impossible burger was impressive. I cut it in half, thinking I would definitely finish the whole thing... but I honestly (for some strange reason) couldn't make it through the second half. It wasn't appealing anymore. Maybe because I tried a bite of my friend's regular burger? Can't quite put my finger on it, but it just wasn't appetizing anymore.
Other than that, the service was kind of slow and the restaurant wasn't that busy. We had to ask for our check, it took them forever to pre-bus our table, and my lunch break took longer than expected (when it shouldn't have). They could step up their service. Just sayin.
The service was not good at all
Great onion rings! Also a fan of the impossible burger.
You were out of the regular margaritas!
Nice staff, great food!
We tried the limited edition Impossible Burger. It was delicious, and I would highly recommend before they stop serving it. Also for having the farmers market happening right outside, it was surprisingly laid back, and not very full. We did go kind of early though, 11:15AM on a Sunday.
Server was very relaxed. The truffle fries are always amazing. Generally all the Umami's I've been to are an overall good experience.
Loved the food and the service was amazing! Will be back!!
Came in to try the Impossible Burger and was blown away. Absolutely delicious
I went for the impossible burger which was great. I would love an option for a single instead of the double and beware, even after asking for it vegan, they still brought mayonnaise based sauces to the table. The pickle plate is fantastic.
Loved the impossible burger
The Impossible Burger was amazing but the service was slow with my drinks.
The veggie burger was amazing !!!! Thought for sure it was Humber meat. But it's not.
