The waitress was outstanding and very attentive. We had the spinach dalad, goat cheese appetizer, and the chicken parmesan. We enjoyed the restaurant atmosphere. In fact, we are planning to stay at the hotel die to our restaurant experience.

one of 6 people in the restaurant, waited over an hour for our food, came out well-done instead of medium rare, waited 20 more minutes for the replacement. Room service was horrible quality and waited over 80 minutes, manager of the restaurant was rude and no help.

The simple summary: This restaurant bills itself as an Italian Steakhouse yet did not have a single Italian red wine available. (The online menu showed several, but we were told the wine list was being updated.) Server was polite and competent but overwhelmed with the number of diners. Food was okay, though the white bean puree and carrot didn't pull it off and a $42 steak needs to hit the temperature ordered. Not a lot of options in downtown St. Louis on foot, but we had better luck at our hotel restaurant.

This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I foolishly made a reservation to try this restaurant out for Mother’s Day and it truly ruined the entire vibe for us that morning. We arrived to the restaurant on time and after a few minutes, someone came over to the hostess table and asked us to wait “a minute” while they get our table ready. Ten minutes went by of the five of us just standing there confused and waiting. Various people walked back and forth and passed us numerous times with maybe two of them saying something to us once out of what felt like five times they passed by us. The person who appeared to be the manager (because he was standing around doing absolutely nothing) didn’t apologize to us for the wait once and only said that someone would be with us in a minute. Mind you, the restaurant was nearly empty. When we were finally sat at a table near the back, we could see that there was only two or three parties in the whole restaurant. Because we had a reservation, it made no sense as to why we had to wait so long to be sat. There was also clear confusion on which waiter would be serving us because one person sat us and then said someone else would be around to take our order but then he came back and ended up being our server. The server made us extremely uncomfortable because he appeared nervous and very shaky and had a runny nose, was constantly sniffling, with red eyes. Sure, that could have been allergies but we did not feel good at all about someone in that state serving our food. Once we sat down, we saw a party next to us wait for a single mimosa the entire time and didn’t get their drink until they were halfway done with their food. The food itself was okay/decent so the only credit at all goes to the cooks in the kitchen. This was the worst experience and I’m disappointed to have wasted time and money here. There was no ambiance, service was terrible, and it overall was just a horribly-run restaurant.

Good food and decently priced. Most hotel food can easily be written off as a "not here" but the wood fired pizza was tasty and the Caesar and Italian salads were really good. Salads could have easily been a meal by themselves or shared.

I was very excited to have dinner here after visiting the website and seeing the options. I was very disappointed. I will start off by saying the food was pretty good. We ordered a goat cheese/marinara starter. It was a large potion but had the three smallest pieces of bread. We did ask for more bread and it took over 50 minutes to get them. We had already finished and paid at that point. We had a Cesar Salad and pepperoni pizza and both were very good. The waitresses were nice but it was clear they were understaffed, overwhelmed, or not trained properly (or a combo of the three). It took almost 15 minutes to be greeted at the hostess station, even though the staff was walking back and forth several times. Once seated, it took almost 10 mins for water and drink orders to get taken. Most of the beers on the menu were not available. It then took 45 mins for the beers to come out to the table. One was not correct and when we tried to explain this to the waitress she argued saying, "It's correct because I poured it from the can." The beer we ordered was a German pils and the one brought was an IPA. It took food almost an hour to come out after ordering. We had to ask several times for water to be filled. I overheard the tables next to us complaining loudly that they hadn't been served. The restaurant was about 1/4 full but no one was working the bar. All in all, the service shouldn't have taken this long or been this poor. Also, there was a dress code on the website for guests. The host was in leggings and a tee shirt with tennis shoes and the buss boy was in athletic shorts, crocs, and teeshirt. The staff should have some form of dress code that matches what is required of the guests. Most people were dressed in nicer clothes but the staff looked like they were dressed for a fast food chain. It was very off putting and really killed the vibe of the place. I wish we would have had a better experience. It has the potential, but we will not be recommending.

Nothing was done for the birthday that was mentioned at the time of booking and seating—not even Happy Birthday! Service was mediocre—asking immediately if we were ready to order and then taking forever to bring something. No decaf coffee.

Unbelievable food! We were staying at The Last Hotel so we decided to eat here and we were so glad we did. We ordered a sausage pizza and fettuccine and they were both perfect. The fettuccine was the best we've ever had, not the normal heavy cheesy cream sauce. It had the perfect seasonings. House made sausage on the pizza was so good and the crust was a little chewy and crisp on the edges just the way I like it. We are looking forward to going again.

Menu shown on OpenTable does not match pasta choices on actual menu. Two choices on both. Fettuccine only on the actual menu. FIVE choices only on the menu shown on OpenTable. I was going to order lasagne only to find it was not on the menu. Disappointing. Also, my wife's fettuccine was extremely salty. We had to send it back, and she ordered spaghetti instead. So, I ate my dinner and then she ate hers.

The restaurant was very nice. Thought it was weird the door was locked to the restaurant we had to walk through the hotel. The marinara sauce tasted like something out of a can not good at all. They did not say the buttered Alfredo had mushrooms or I wouldn't of ordered it. The drinks were good the service was amazing! Being downtown I definitely thought the food would have been better.

We were unfamiliar with St. Louis and wanted to celebrate our 20 year anniversary somewhere nice. We booked a reservation online with no idea what to expect, but it had great reviews, and was listed in the top 10 when I searched for most romantic restaurants in St. Louis. There was one lady working and doing EVERYTHING. We both ordered Steaks which were around $45. They were pre-cut into slices, over cooked, and tough as shoe leather. Very overpriced. Not to mention the $10.95 alcohol tax for 2 - $6 beers!! This place is awful and so is St. Louis for that matter. We will never return to either. Thanks for ruining what should have been a memorable night for my wife and I.

I recently went to the restaurant with 7 guests to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Both the service and the food were terrible. The waitress on 5 separate occasions forgot someone’s drink order even when only two people ordered a drink. With the bread she bright plates for four people. We had to ask that each person got their own plate and it took 15 min for everyone to finally have one. She completely forgot one person’s dinner order so we all chipped in parts of our so they would have something to eat. We were told that the butchers cut steak was a rib eye. That was far from true. It was a gristly inedible piece of meet. I ordered mine medium rare and it was well done. I ordered a substitution on my side dish and that did not happen. Since it was a party of eight there was an automatic 20% gratuity and no discount for completely forgetting Simone’s meal. All this couldn’t be blamed on being busy since the restaurant wasn’t even half full. Now I know why. Please learn from my mistake and avoid this restaurants at all costs.

Don’t waste your time. I had family in town and wanted somewhere that I could make a reservation. The restaurant is in The Last Hotel. There was only one other table seated. We could not order a mimosa or Bloody Mary because they had no bartender. I offered to make my own, however they didn’t even have the key to the alcohol. The food was okay. Took forever considering there was only 1 other table. I will say, there is plenty of potential. The hotel is beautiful. It just not hitting the mark now.

Place had so much potential based off the ambiance and first thoughts. However our server was not it. Understaffed it seemed like but the servers weren’t even trying. Just seemed to be in their own world going about everything pretty relaxed which really slowed everything. Waited about 10 minutes to be greeted and there was about 6 tables in the restaurant aside from us. Our server also sat us down right next to a couple even though we passed about 10 open tables. Really odd setting. Eventually the restaurant filled up so it didn’t make a difference. Food was okay. Flatbreads seemed to have been the call based off other reviews but I found it to taste like tostinos pizza. Crust was soft and cheese on it was meh. No spices used in the tomato sauce. I will say get the appetizer meatballs. Very delicious sauce I found myself dipping everything into for flavor. Missed order by server. Then it took 20 minutes for desert to come out. Just a bad experience but so much easy fixes. Hope they get new management that inspires and compensates the workforce enough to get more people in to work for em. Will try this place again in a year if it’s still around.

Tried calling this place about a reservation (needed to add 2 more people). It felt like this was the busiest restaurant in town the way gave me the run around. Needless to say we show up full party(with the plus 2) and the place is dead. There were a few people but it’s not like a Michelin star restaurant that’s been booked out for 3 months. That’s how they treated it. Food was ok bruschetta is terrible. Manager says they’re redoing the menu. Very nice guy.

This was the worst experence ever. The only plus was the guy that parked us let us leave without having to pay parking. We waited 15 minutes for someone to ven come over and ask us "do you want to get seated, its a mess here..." which was our first warning. At our table we sat for over 40 minutes with NO ONE coming by, even giving us water. The place was dirty and the staff kept going outside to "smoke" - not sure what, but it smelt like skunk. We left and no one even noticed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
