Utah trout, root veg puree, delicata squash, brussels, almond-caper vinaigrette
Blue corn grits, green tomato relish, lardon, cilantro
Honey-dijon vinaigrette, dried blueberries, sunflower seeds, finishing salt
Small and quaint space with good food
Food was absolute perfection.
The Brussel sprouts were prepared perfectly! The Manhattan's were a proper size! The service was really great- they were willing to work with our special dietary needs. All in all a very nice experience!
Good food. Not much else
We really enjoyed our meal at this tucked-away restaurant. The server was quite friendly and our food hit the spot. We were pleased with the delicious, locally-focused offerings. We hope to be back next year!
2nd visit here. Really want it to be good ... the menu is interesting holding lots of promise. The execution, however, is just average. Perhaps our perspective is shaded by the plethora of excellent dining choices but the bottom line, in our perspective is that the twisted fern is just OK.
On this evening we had the grilled octopus, the roasted Brussels and we shared the pork chop. Done properly, a roasted octopus is delightful - this one just wasn’t cooked properly. The dish as a whole with the grits, Larson and tomato relish is a tasty composition, but the octopus was bland and a bit mushy.
The roasted Brussels were the highlight of the evening. A nice char blended wonderfully with sweetness from some mountain blueberries.
On the other hand, The Pork Chop was mediocre/poor. To start, it was overcooked and dry. But what was worse was that the whole plate was incredibly bland - the pork chop, some potato casserole and the broccolini. You really shouldn’t have to add salt and pepper to a fine dining dish, but we had to do something to try and give it some flavor.
Unfortunately, unlike our first visit, the service on the night was just ok. Long waits for beverages was the highlight of the evening service.
With all the other great Park City options, not sure we’ll be back to the Twisted Fern.
What a wonderful surprise to find such creative and delicious food in a strip mall restaurant. Lots of options for veggie lovers as well as meat eaters. The pork chop was cooked to perfection and was quite an ample portion. The trout was also fabulous w vegetables and lots of flavor. The show stealer was the Anatolia btodd. The broth was incredible as were the veggies and pasta. Don’t miss the Brussels sprouts or the grilled octopus appetizer/. Both were perfection. The beignet dessert was also very tasty and unique. This is a good restaurant for foodies who like creative and flavorful dishes.
Food was very good, service was great. We just felt it was overpriced for what you get...but maybe that’s just Park City...
Excellent meal here and the service was great too! Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. This will be a go-to for us when we’re in Park City. Highly recommended.
Having just eaten here six weeks ago, I was expecting a reprise of what was a great meal. This time, our server was not engaged. It took fifteen minutes to get some salad dressing. My wifes pork chop was undercooked. I felt embarrassed for having recommended the place
Spectacular chef, innovative menu utilizing fresh delicious ingredients, a gifted bar tender, and pleasant, friendly professional wait staff. Don't miss it while in Park City!
Excellent food and service! Fresh ingredients and unique dishes. Something for vegetarians and carnivores.
We came to this restaurant for a special meal, after reading some great reviews. We started with a couple of cocktails which were a bit too smokey, but came with an enormous ice sphere in the glass. The advantage of this kind of ice is that it cools the drink without diluting it. Very good idea and visually appealing.
We were really looking forward to trying the Elk, but unfortunately they had sold out. Instead, we chose the double wide pork chops with sunchoke-potato gratin, and orange-balsamic gastrique. We asked for the broccolini to be exchanged for asparagus for one plate and brussels sprouts for the other, as neither of us like broccolini. The server told us that this restaurant cooks almost all of their meat sous vide. The pork is cooked sous vide for 9 hours. I have to say that it was was one of the best pork chops I have ever eaten. It was juicy, tender and delicious. The vegetables were disappointing though. The potato was undercooked with crunchy chunks in it, and the brussels were also slightly under cooked. The asparagus was perfect. Our server recommended some white wines to go with the meat, and they were excellent.
We were too full for dessert, as the portions are quite generous. Overall a nice experience. We would go back but perhaps try to choose a dish where undercooked veg would be less likely.
We had a great meal with excellent service.
Had superb elk and great tout salad
Excellent! We highly recommend for anyone interested in quality foods and farm to table experience!
I enjoyed the ambiance. The food was ranged. Elk Steak was a lot leaner. So it was a fun experience eating Elk, I would not eat it again. Tee sides that came with it were delicious. Open faced shortrib melt was tasty. Fries were nice and crispy. The BEST dish was the Blackened Octopus. I found out it is sous vide, and it was the MOST tender octopus I have ever eaten. I would get that again.
Fabulous compositions of food made with farm to table ingredients!
Great food and attentive service. Trout was superb. Limited menu and there items were not available. Hopefully these are just teething problems but try harder
We went to have lunch on a Sunday morning. We had the chips and onion dip- yummy thick potato chips with a homemade dip. My companion had a grilled cheese and remakes it was the best she had ever had...I had the wagyu burger with sweet potato fries- which was also very good.
Great place, good service. Nicely done.
excellent food and service, friendly people, fast
We visited Twisted Fern while in Park City for a ski vacation week. We loved the food - truly farm-to-table. The salads were quite large (we loved the squash salad) and recommend splitting one. We had the lamb shank that was delicious. We also got the homemade butter rolls with lemon ricotta - yummy. This is a great find - easy parking and about 1.5 miles from downtown PC.
We enjoyed menu staples and a special menu item. The service, food and cocktails were all exemplary.
Had a wonderful meal! And the service was fantastic. We also were very impressed by Max at reception. How inspiring to see someone young be so professional, well spoken and attentive. And bravo to whoever hired him and took the chance on a 14 year old!
loved it here!
design tip- paint the walls black and lower the mirrors in woman's room (hung too high). install a curtain or vestibule so the cold doesnt blow inside every time the door opens.
Called Monday night to make reservations for Wednesday evening for a party of 4. I was informed that Wednesday evening was very busy and I could be placed on a waitlist for cancellations. I was told there was two people on the waitlist in front of me. I reached out to the restaurant Wednesday evening around 4 pm to see if there had been any cancellations. I was informed on how busy there were and would not be able to pull from the waitlist. I later went on open table at 6 pm and was able to make reservations for 645.... strange. We arrived 5 mins before our reservation and were sat at 710. The hostess was great, a little flustered but handled her third night very well. Understandably the restaurant was full and had to wait for a table to open up.
The staff was friendly, our waiter Alex was very pleasant! Ordered the sangria, a little too sweet, Alex was very understanding and swapped it out for
A glass of cab. The ambience was great, a little loud due to the small dining area but not to the point where we felt like we were yelling over anyone.
for starters we ordered the garlic chickpeas which were a favorite at the table. The blackened octopus was delicious, slightly crispy with good flavor. The grits and Lardon was a nice addition. The Brussel sprouts were good, nothing to extravagant.
Main entrees 3 out of 4 meals ordered were Elk. The Elk was good, served medium rare... the meat was a little tough and the potatoes were over cooked and slightly burnt. The 4th dish still the table was the agnolotti, which was delightful and refreshing for the vegan consumer. The dessert, which we tried all but one. The olive oil cake, the beignets, and the brownie. They were all good, no complaints.
Delicious food. Creative cocktails. Fabulous dessert.
Crispy chickpeas with garlic was delicious.
Delicious real food made with local ingredients. Service was great even though it was a busy night.
Had visited a few times and enjoyed it especially the last time we ate there. Tonight was totally different. The sweet potato ravioli was garlicky with very little flavor. It tasted like they scraped off leftover burnt Brussel sprouts, few carrots halves and mushrooms, then tried to cook them in liquid with some garlic. Gnocchi was horrible, overcooked and mushy with salty but flavorless creamy sauce. Trout and green salads ok. Our worst meal here ever. Will not return for a while...
Food was creative and expertly prepared. Service was everything I could ask for. One of the best dining experiences in recent memory. For the quality and variety on the menu, I found it to be a remarkable value.
We had the elk steak and the ravioli type pasta. The elk steak was delicious and the combination of vegetables and sauces merged it all together.
The ravioli was undercooked. Nothing very good about that dish. Sort of bland altogether.
We had the fried brussels sprouts as an appetizer. It was a nice mix of earthy flavors. Would definitely recommend getting that.
We also order two of their desserts. The pudding was quite bland and not very flavorful. The brownie was very good with the mix of sauces and delicious ice cream.
We ended up at the table nearest the door. It was not a good spot to be as far as ambience and how cold it was when the door would open and close.
Our server was new but did an excellent job. It’s not a restaurant I would go to regularly, not enough variety of dishes, but it’s definitely one we will go to once or twice a year.
Loved the fresh food selections and appreciated the guidance by our friendly server. Great stop on our Park City vacation.
Excellent food and service
Superb taste and innovative creations. Great service from DJ, the bartender, while we enjoyed an awesome meal of trout and elk at the bar!
We have been here in the past and it was fabulous. This time everything we loved about the restaurant from service to food to ambience was lacking.
Not welcoming. Small 2 ft x 2 ft table with cold draft when door opened. Octopus was blah, open faced sandwich, a signature dish was ordinary, trout good. 2nd drink delivered 75% way through meal.
Max and Jess were Great!
Food was Fabulous.
Love love love this place! The food was excellent!
Amazing food. The location would have you think twice, but don’t let that sway you. The food is amazing! I had the Elk which was simply amazing! One of the best meals ever. My wife and daughter both loved their meals as well. We will absolutely return.
